We're very happy with it. The price was average. The workers could have been a little more professional in what they did. The guys who came out could have taken a little more care. I think they're a little rough on our existing roof as far as installing the new gutters. We had to call them for several things.

We couldn't be happier! Kent arrived on time, and was so personable and professional. We have big dogs, and they happily followed him everywhere - we knew he was a good guy! :) He checked in with us regularly to make sure the installation was what we were thinking. We were so happy with Byers and the SolarTube, that we scheduled an appointment for another one! We appreciate the professionalism of Byers, and will use them whenever they offer a service that we need.

It went extremely well! They were very efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I had a tree removed from my property and during the removal one of the gutters were damaged and they came out and fixed it for free.

The installer was also the sales pitch guy. He didn't push a hard sell at all- in fact I was hoping for more of a sell in order to persuade my husband, who wasn't convinced until after the install. Trevor was courteous, thorough, got the job done pretty quickly, and cleaned everything up, even including touching up the paint (which I provided him). The solar tubes provide an impressive amount of light in what used to be a long, dark, dungeon-like hallway. A few days later we noticed that our pool water heating system was leaking near where one of the tubes was placed. We believe it was moved slightly over during the install and it was an old pipe. Contacted Byers and they had Trevor back out here quickly and he replaced the pipe at no charge. Can't beat that!

Crew showed up on time as promised, began to remove first row of roof tiles to allow access for installation of the new gutters. Crew very professional and efficient, took away all old gutter material for disposal. During the tile removal process, it was discovered that several areas of roof line were leaking and needed repair. Rather than delay the process, I agreed to hire via separate contract (change order) Byers to repair the damaged areas, which they did for a very nominal fee (approx. $400). The repair was done to my satisfaction which allowed the entire job to be completed in a total of 2.5 days, which included 1 day to install gutters and 2.5 days to remove tile, repair roof area, then reinstall the roof tile. The craftsman also repaired stucco areas with filler due to the difference in contour of the old gutters vs new gutters. All debris and old nails, etc as mentioned previously were disposed of by crew.

The whole experience was very professional and the new gutters work perfectly.

It was really good. They are really customer service oriented and they respond quickly to questions that you have. There was a little bit of a problem and they solved the problem immediately. They are very honest and they really want to do right by their customers.

Great demo which helped us understand how drain system works. Definitely made it clear that the "phone" is the only tool we need if something goes wrong with the system or if we have questions -- we are to just call them and they will take care of our concerns. We thought they were professional, honored their word, and wanted to make sure we were satisfied every step of the way. We also appreciated that no "contractors" were involded -- they did their own work. I mentioned that the price may have been a little high but, in fairness, we didn't do a lot of comparison shopping. . . .). We're definitely pleased.

In addition to being less than impressed with the very high cost of their system, I was put off by their sales policies. First, when I called in, the receptionist asked if my husband would be at the appointment. As I later told the sales manager, I didn?t appreciate the assumptions behind the question. I happen to be a divorced professional who owns my own home and has made my own financial decisions for over 30 years. His response was that they?ve had similar complaints before from single homeowners as well as gay couples, but it?s a numbers game to them, and they have found that if they are making a bid to one homeowner who then represents the bid to a spouse, the spouse is more likely to object to the high price if they weren?t present for the marketing sales pitch. Second, the sales manager and account representative insisted on giving me a full sales pitch, complete with a lengthy powerpoint presentation focusing on the family values of the company. The appointment took 3 hours, which I mostly considered a waste of my time.

There was a considerable lag between signing the contract and the start of work, however, that was discussed and agreed to up front. They finalized the date about 2 weeks in advance, showed up as scheduled and completed the work in one day. Four men were sent to the job, all of the crew knew what they were doing and the work was done quickly, professionally and with great care for our landscape plantings.

We didn't go with Byers leafguard for a couple reasons, the price & high pressure. I let them now we were a costco member, they explained how the gutters would go on, then quoted a price of over $6000. Then he mentioned that the entire amount would have to be paid upfront & the wait time would be several weeks. I said I never contract out paying full price before the work would ever be done. He plopped the costco information in front of me & told me to read the paragraph out loud. It felt totally demeaning & I felt like a 5th grader being scolded by his teacher.

Member Comments: Gutters on the house were the original ones (1991) and had never seen service or a decent cleaning. Did a lot of research and was impressed by reviews for Byers Leaf Guard Gutters. Got other estimates but went with Byers based on quality and reputation. (These things are pricey but worth it!) The day the crew showed up to work was one of the 107 degree ones a few weeks back so I felt for them. They'd called the night before and said "around 8 AM". Precisely on the dot, they arrived. They were very careful to review the estimator's work order with me and take me around to show me what they were going to do. The crew was very quick, professional and pleasant. A lot of dirt had come out of my old gutters but they were very particular about cleaning up every bit of it and all their left over pieces. When they were done, they took me around to review the work and answered any question I had. Had a great experience and would highly reccommend the Byers company to anyone!

When it was time to get started on the gutters and downspouts the house was ready to go. The workers were very prompt and got started right away. We had already taken down the old gutters and downspouts, as previously agreed, and they had everything installed in one trip. The workers were very professional and courteous. They had answers if I had any questions. Everything was cleaned up before they left. I got a phone call later from the office team to make sure I was satisfied or if I had any questions or problems they needed to fix. Later when I had someone out for a roof/chimney fix they had scratched our gutters in a few places before I caught it and asked them to place something between their ladders and my brand new gutters (even though I had let them know ahead of time of them being brand new and to be careful). While those workers were still there I called Byers LeafGuard. They asked if they had dented the gutters and I double checked and said "not yet". Later they came out with some touch up paint and fixed it at no charge. They also left me a can of paint at my request, so I didn't have to call them out every time something like that happened. They did let me know that if the gutters were to get dented they may have to replace that piece for a cost. So now whenever anyone comes to do anything on my roof I let them know, if they harm my gutters I will charge them for the damages. I waited to do this review until I could see just how well these work and I have to say the Byers Leafguard System WORKS! I recommend them Highly! Though they are a bit costly compared to regular gutters, but I think worth it.

On 5/1/2013 five guys showed up between 8 and 9 am. They proceeded to tear off the old roof and gutters. By 11am 2 or 3 more guys showed up with huge truck with a conveyor belt to off load the roof shingle on to the roof. They completed the new roof, adding about 5" of insulation in my attic. They put my Directv dish back and ran the cables into the attic. The crew was cleaned up and gone by 4pm. The gutter man call on 5/2/2013 and said they would be out to do the gutters on 5/3/2013. I ask why no one had showed up to bring my sat. cables to the tv? He said he didn't know, but would have the answer for me the nest morning. The three man crew showed up a little after 7 am on 5/3/2013 and completed the gutters by 1:30 pm. The roofing supervisor came out by 9 am went up into the attic and ran my sat. cables like I had asked. The tv was up and working again by 10 am. He explained about the mix up and I was happy. Overall I am happy with my new roof and gutters the cost was a little high but with lifetime warranty on the roof from both Ray Byers and GAF (roofing shingles manufacturer) being transferable for up to 20 years. Then you add in no more having to clean my gutters. I feel you get what you pay for.ane

i contacted Byers and several other companies. Byers was the one company that responded promptly, came on time and was knowledgable as to the existing problem. they were on point, thorough and complete in their assessment and remedy. they explained everything and completely answered ALL my questions. their estimate was good. i am still working out the problems caused from the unskilled installation by another company hired by home depot. i plan to contract with Byers to have proper gutters and correct installation as soon as repairs are complete.

Even though they are higher in price than most, their system is one of a kind. If the gutters ever clog they will come out to take care of them at no charge. With that said, I never have to clean gutters again. They were very professional and the installers were very polite and did a great job of cleaning up before leaving. Over all they were fabulous!

Installers wer ver punctual and professional. They cleaned up after ther job was completed.

Everyone was great. From the estimator (Bill Hunting) to the office staff (Linda). The gutters have been up for several rains and everything is working great. I will definitely request a roof estimate when I replace the roof next summer.

It went very well. They came when they said they would and mailed an estimate right away and made a few follow up calls. They were very professional.

They came out and measured everything. Aside the fact that they are almost solid gold, they worked out fine. I had a problem with a leakage that came up under the gutter; they came out right away and fixed it.

The estimator was very pleasant and professional and was eager to educate us. He accepted that we only wanted to do the second story and didn't push the whole job. We scheduled the work, and they were prompt and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves thoroughly.
