Description of Work: Have not yet started job; kitchen tile backsplash.

Description of Work: JKS tiled two very large areas in our home -- the kitchen/nook, and a meandering set of hallways/closets/powder/laundry. This was a challenging job: large-format tiles in a large area (one section 28 feet long), with tight (1/8 inch) joints, set on a diagonal/diamond. Yet the tile was laid incredibly evenly -- if you slide your feet across it you can't feel any edges that are not flat against the neighboring tile. Tiles were spaced beautifully, so that we have full half-tiles at the intersections of living room and family room carpet, as well as at the front door -- so there are very few small "filler" triangles. Also, the team was very good about clean-up, leaving little dust anywhere. | |Jerry Streit (owner) came out twice before starting the job, to make sure we were in agreement on all aspects of the work to be done. He listened carefully to what we wanted and met our interests perfectly. (He also helped by making a couple of corrections on a tile job our general contractor had done in a bathroom, and did so at nominal cost.) | |Pricing was competitive against highly-reviewed tile contractors and very good compared to general contractors. | |JKS did a GREAT job. We have had three other tile jobs done in recent years in our two houses, and used to think that work was really good; now that we've seen the precision of JKS, we have a new standard. I will use them in the future and would recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: Called this company with a request for tile installation. Waited two weeks and no response. Called again on 5/22/2012 and was advised they are too busy for my job.
