US Standard Appliance Repair

Checked the machine and diagnosed the problem, unfortunately the repair costs would have been to high, decides to just buy a new machine. Thanks for a true evaluation.

Victor arrived at the scheduled time. After an analysis of the situation he gave us two options /price depending upon what was actually found. The work was completed promptly, professionally and fortunately it turned out to be the lesser of the two. I would have no hesitation in using them again

Victor (the technician) was able to come out the same day I called because of an appointment cancellation ... he diagnosed my dryer's problem, but he did not have the part available and had to order it. He was clear about pricing, so we agreed that he would come out when the part came in. Both times he was punctual, called when he was on his way and completely professional the entire visit. I would definitely hire them again, and especially Victor. Great guy.

Called at 9am and dryer was repaired by 2pm. Easy.

The technician arrived on time and diagnosed the problem as a broken transmission. He also found that the agitator had a broken part. He ordered a replacement transmission and actually was able to return a day earlier than what was planned as he had time available. The transmission and agitator were fixed and the machine is now operating properly. The technician was courteous and professional.

Went great. Mike showed up on time. He installed the water filter for the refrigerator and showed me a better way to do it than what I had been doing. Then he fixed the oven door which was not opening and closing properly on a 40 year old oven for which parts aren't made anymore. He also gave advice on where to obtain a new oven for when necessary. So, it was a very good visit.

US Standard is my "go to" appliance repair company. Boris is an excellent technician - he doesn't do anything he doesn't have to and he has always managed to diagnose and fix perfectly the problems with our appliances. I have had him fix our washer (when the previous repair company wouldn't return after their repair didn't work), our oven (when the heating mechanism went out), and our dryer (twice, after the first dryer lint vent cleaning company I called failed to clean the dryer vent completely and blew out my dryer). Boris is always courteous, thorough and goes the extra mile for us. With the second dryer repair, he came out at the beginning of Easter/Passover weekend when he should have been heading home to be with his family and fixed my dryer so I had it to use over the weekend after a week without it. He is a gem of a human being. Julia in the office is always courteous and helpful, and will do her best to get Boris in touch with me as soon after I call as possible. Their prices are very fair and reasonable and I always feel that I have gotten good value for what I have paid. I highly recommend this company and most especially Boris.

Samsung Refrigerator stopper cooling. Called US Standard and they cam out right away and quoted $45.00 to inspect and troubleshoot. Mike came out and spent about 30 minutes looking at the refrigerator and stated that the Compressor was bad and that it would be $1,500.00 to $2,000.00 to fix and that i was better off buying a new Refrigerator. This was not good news. So I paid him his $45.00 and off he went. I called the manufacturer and they had me test the Compressor with a simple voltmeter and they stated it was fine and that I should replace a Sub Inverter Control Board that cost $100.00 We had the control board replaced and the refrigerator started working immediately. Replacing the control board took 5 minutes. Quick response but Diagnosed incorrectly and could of cost me Thousands of Dollars.

Arrived in the middle of the time window, determined that the ignitor was bad, and replaced it. It took 40 minutes.

Unable to repair even after three hour phone call with GE Customer Service. "Never seen this problem before."

Two men showed up EARLY for the appointment which was a welcomed surprise!!! The both worked tirelessly for two hours. They fixed the problem with professionalism and accuracy. I would definitely hire them again.

It took them a day to come out. They came out Wednesday and had no parts, even though I told them what parts to bring. When he came out, he had to order parts and it took 2 days to come in. One of the things he repaired was the door when it opened and whatever kit he used made it squeak real bad. I told him it was not acceptable and he left. I called back the phone number and talked to a lady and she called him. She called back and said they would order another kit and replace it for free. I would be out of town the next week and they called me the following Thursday and I couldn't get done until Monday. They came out on Tuesday or Wednesday and put parts in and it worked fine. Part of the reason I called them, I could have repaired it myself but I figured I wanted to get it done quickly but it took them forever. Then he had no idea when he put part on door what the problem was. I would not use them again to be honest.

They were fine. They did what they were supposed to do, I don’t think they were necessarily perfectly pragmatic, but they’re fine. They did fine, I wouldn’t call them out as being excellent or anything like that. The quality is hard for me to assess. If the air conditioner is rigged, then I will be angry, if it keeps going I will be fine. They were very responsive, actually they were very quick. They were definitely professional. They were prompt. A lot of air conditioner repair men in that area take forever to return your call and they don’t show up for weeks. These guys showed up promptly and they were professional. They did a good job, I would say it was a little bit more expensive than what I would have wanted, but it was fine.

care provider of disabled son reported problem with the dryer. Made appointment with service provider for morning appointment. They were prompt. The dryer appeared to be working, but after a few minutes of observation, their diagnosis was the gas coils needed to be replaced. As the dryer was at my son's house, I agreed to the replacement for $190.00. The service was completed in 5 minutes. When I presented the coupon when given the invoice, it was refused to be honored after initially accepting it. When I asked why, I was told the coupon was only to apply to the NEXT service call!!!! I feel the amount charged was exorbitant for the service provided.

it's Friday afternoon before the labor day weekend and my washing machine stops mid load. I call at 1 PM to see if there's a chance someone could come today. I'm in Malibu, so it's not easy to get here from anywhere on a Friday (or any day for that matter). Boris arrives by 2:30, knows exactly what's wrong, gives me a reasonable quote, does his thing. By 4PM the laundry is back in operation, the room is clean, and Boris is off to the next job. Boom! Who ya gonna call? US Standard, that's who.

Fantastic - called at 8AM Monday;, technician was at house at 9 AM same day. Installed new unit before noon on Tuesday. Michael was great.

US Standard was able to get a technician to our house the same day. He showed up and told us that the fan in the ice maker was caked with ice and that the fans are usually made cheaply by the manufacturer. He clean it up for us and it works fine now. Would for sure call them again if I have any other appliance issues. Good company!

Quickly checked possibilities and discussed findings with me. Gave me an estimate so I could decide.

Company was very responsive, as they had a technician to my house within 2 hours of the call on a Saturday. Turns out the machine only needed a belt replaced, which took ~15 minutes total to troubleshoot and repair. Technician gave me a quote, and when I said I had a coupon for a new customer, he said I already took that off your price. Technician left a mess at the end of the job - left his dirty nitrile gloves, the broken belt and dirt from under the machine all around the hallway. Based upon the time required and how the work area was left, I felt overcharged and that I didn't get great value for the service. When I called the company's office on Monday, they refused to provide a quote for what it should have cost, saying it was company policy not to provide pricing.

I called US Standard to have someone come and check it out. The technician, Mike, came on time and diagnosed the issue, which was a part that needed to be replaced. He was very courteous and prompt with replacing.

It went great! Fast, efficient and very professional! I called in their office on Monday afternoon as my fridge suddenly stopped working and guess what - a technician was at my doorstep on Tuesday morning at 9am as promised. When he came in and ran the diagnostics quickly I could straight away see that he knew his stuff, he identified the problem straight away and even had the necessary part available in his van, so my fridge was up and running smoothly in a little under an hour at a very reasonable price. I could not be happier with the service and will definitely recommend Madera Appliance Repair to my friends and family.
