La Mold Inspection

Description of Work: I hired Mr. Harris to inspect my son's apartment. I was impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He was prompt to our appointment and was thorough in his testing and assessment of the situation. I had the results emailed to me quickly too! It was a pleasure and a comfort hiring LA Mold Inspection.

Description of Work: David Harris did the initial air quality inspection and then did the final inspection on the air after the mold was remediated. He checks the air quality. We also got extra services. We got extra speed in the lab analysis. The first inspection was $600 and the final one was $350. The first one was more expensive because he had asked for extra speed. I also do have a full written report from him for insurance purposes.

Description of Work: We had a sewage backup that flooded our rear house office. We needed immediate mold testing, recommendations, and advice.

Description of Work: Mr. Harris failed to detect a problem in a storage closet in an upstairs office after giving a report that the room was mold free. I called to ask Mr. Harris if he had checked the closed storage closet. He said that he did not remember. I asked that he return to check the cabinet. He said that it would cost a full return cost. Mr. Harris did not check that closet and I was left to remove all of the contents. There is still a mildew smell and I am in the process of trying to get another company to come and complete the incomplete work of Mr. Harris whose could have returned to check that closet since he failed to do so two occasions: the first inspection and the second: both paid for in full along with two air filters purchased. The only comment Mr. Harris made on the phone to advise him of the mildew moldy smell in the storage closet was "empty the contents" Thus being so, why did he not advise this when he was in the room taking the test?

Description of Work: Air samples were taken at 3 likely places inside, and one control site outside, along with photographs. The samples were sent to an outside lab, and the results were emailed to me.

Description of Work: David Harris inspected the house, used a hand-held meter to check moisture within the walls, and collected air samples indoors and outdoors for mold analysis. He collected four total samples: one background sample of ambient air outdoors, as a control, two ambient air samples indoors, and one sample from airspace within a ceiling in an area of particular concern. Mr. Harris sent the samples to a certified laboratory for rush analysis and reported the results to me by email. Mr. Harris forwarded the results to me the next day. The rush analysis cost more than a standard turnaround time would; however, this is standard for environmental laboratories, and Mr. Harris simply passed along the extra cost.

Description of Work: David came out and did three air sample tests and sent them into the lab to be analyzed. He also inspected a few spots in the problem area with a machine that detects moisture.

Description of Work: David Harris performed a mold inspection on our home after we discovered a leak under our shower pan that caused a damp area in the crawl space of about 30-40 square feet. David performed the tests, sent the results to a lab to test the spores, and then e-mailed me a report about a week later with recommendations. He explained to me over the phone the various types of spores and the relative significance of each as well as the significance of the spore counts. He also checked out bathroom walls to determine dampness within the walls and explained the results. He volunteered to speak with my plumber if he had any questions about going into our crawl space to repair the leak.
