Straight up people, we were told different services we needed, Johnny simply told us it wasn't necessary, and if we still want to get it done, the price quoted was much better then other quotation. It's hard to find a honest and straight up business now the day, will keep his number for all future need.

We thought that we have a mouse in the rafters of the garage. A technician came the same day that we called. It turned out it was just an old mud wasp nest. We all had a good laugh.

He was very professional and knowledgeable. However, I do think the charge was a bit overpriced. After the 1-week follow up from the initial service, I had to call again, since there was evidence that the rodents were still around after trapping one myself. As it turns out, I asked him to examine a possible entry point. It was that entry point that was missed. He did seal it up with wire/screen. Overall, he was very professional and knowledgeable. He was thorough and offered advice to rodent proof. I am writing this months later, since this time is needed to truly evaluate the effectiveness of the service.

We had a visitor in our attic, most likely a rat. John (and a worker) came out right at the time promised, and they proved to be professional, knowledgable, and communicative. He quoted me a price that seemed fair for setting traps in the attic and patching the rat access hole under the eaves (which he found immediately), then recommended the application of garlic gel to repel the animal(s), then, when he saw that we have a basement crawl space, recommended setting traps and applying the gel there too. He told me the additional costs involved, with each recommendation (without my having to ask), so I was not surprised at the final cost, though it pretty much doubled the initial estimate. They completed the work quickly and efficiently, the rat is apparently gone and cannot get back in, and we are happy! The worker who came out to repair the access hole on the roof and to screen in the under house crawl space access showed great creativity and attention to detail in screening in the unconventional cover that we have for the crawl space, and he took the time to do it right! Very impressive in this day and age! They have made one follow-up visit so far, and are scheduled to make a second follow-up, included in the original price. We will definitely use them them again, should the need arise, and I am happy to add my good recommendation to all the others here on Angie's List.

Overall, fabulous. The responded timely (and I wanted it done yesterday, due to the birth of our newborn), worked discretely, quickly, efficiently, and informatively. They did everything they said they would and showed me all that was involved. And, it was alot. And, it is icky work. I cannot say they are competitive with other outfits, because Johnny Rat was quite superior to another (name intentionally withheld) eradication company that left me in the rat, er, lurch. I am disheartened about the price, again, not because I am dissatisfied (quite the opposite), I'm just really bummed about having to spend so much money to get rid of really bad uninvited housemates. Kind of like that college party that you threw for just a few friends. Well, the friends invited their friends and that one dude came and drank all your good beer, puked on the rug, passed out on your bedroom floor, and then kept coming around because 'You're totally awesome, man." Yeah. I can live without those friends. And, I can live without those rats, thanks to Johnny Rat.

My wife stared a rat in the eye while she was loading the clothes washer. Called several places and Johnny Rat returned the call promptly and came out the next day. Johnny searched the house, crawl space and attic. He recommended screens (where appropriate) and plugged a hole a wall that was left behind after some construction work. They were very good at catching the rats and coming out to pick them up. One concern I had was the cost of additional trips, but Johnny did not charge us for an additional pickup. That was much appreciated. Johnny was direct and clear in what needed to be done. There were no hidden charges.

They identified potential problem areas and offered solutions to stop any pests from entering our home. I would use them again.

Both the technician and his assistant were very pleasant. They came on time and immediately upon arrival began working on the problem -- after I had told them about the smell of a dead animal in one of the bedrooms. They gave us an on-the-spot estimate and performed the work immediately. That is what I call efficient! I can't recommend them enough!

Johnny was very punctual. He called to confirm time of appointment. He explained what his process is for getting rid of the rats. It involves garlic preparation as well as traps. He checked the whole house for entrance sites. He treated all the areas where he saw entrances into the structure. He did not board up anything. He returned 3 times to check for any further rat entrances. Once he had put the garlic preparation around, the rats were no longer present. We never caught any in the traps.

We had a rat problem - they sealed up the house and caught the perp. Year guarantee and two follow-up calls part of the price. Ultimately, the sealing up was expensive for what they did, but I wouldn't have done better doing it myself and I wanted the protection of a year follow up (and the knowledge that the problem was eliminated - me placing traps/bait alone had failed over several weeks).The Individual who helped me was great - only issue with service was that the office got on my case for calling him directly on something instead of going through them, which I had know idea they preferred.

They are very efficient. They say what they would do. They are fairly priced. They are professional.

They did an amazing job! I discussed the issue with Johnny over the phone, and he made an appointment to come over the same day. He showed up, did an estimate, then came back at the exact time we agreed upon, and completed the job. Since it was a very specific job, he came back himself, instead of sending one of his technicians. He did a great job, that solved the problem. He sealed off the place the rats were getting in, and was successful in getting rid of the ones we already had. It's now been a couple months, and all is good. Very helpful and a great experience!

It was an average experience and the prices were a little high. They were very nice. I cannot say for sure if they have been effective or not yet because it has not been long enough.

We had rats in the attic, which were keeping us awake at night by scurrying from one side of the attic to the other. Johnny Rat promptly returned our call, and scheduled an initial appointment. During this first appointment, they set traps in the attic and investigated the exterior of the house to determine how the rats were getting inside. They found the point of entry (the gas meter opening). They sealed the opening in the hopes that no more rats would get inside, and scheduled a second appointment. During the second appointment, they removed the rats that had been trapped in the attic, and cleaned the area around the gas meter to remove the debris left by the animals. They scheduled a third appointment to check the traps again. After determining that the rats were no longer getting into the house, they scheduled a fourth appointment to set traps outside. So far, so good. We plan to have them back in about one month to re-check the attic. We were pleased with their service. They were prompt, organized, and knowledgeable. Their work required them to be both outside and inside, as well as crawling around the attic space. They were careful to perform their work without creating a mess.

I found them on Angie's List. They were on time. They were extremely nice and very professional when they were at the house. I did speak with them. They were very patient. They helped me understand what was going on and what needed to happen. They came in and got the job done when they said it would be done. I have no negative feedback. I would not hesitate to use them and recommend them to somebody. They really did a great job. The price was comparable.

We had evidence of a rat infestation and had tried a few remedies on our own with no success. John came within two hours of my calling him. He and his assistant surveyed my entire house and determined several possible points of entry. He explained that all of these areas would be closed off, traps would be set and repellant used as part of the close-off material. All work was done in a timely fashion and was very professional. He will return to check the traps.

I found this company on Angie's List for a friend, after she found holes in their couch a few months after clearing out a rats' nest under their porch. Here's what they had to say: "He came out, inspected the location of the original rats' nest, went up in the attic, inspected the premises completely, and then gave advice on how effective our own rat control efforts would be (we'd set some traps and added some mesh.) He also gave additional advice on what else we could do to address the problem ourselves, and let us know he thought the problem would be cleared up without difficulty using those methods. He then refused to accept any money for having come out, until we insisted he take $60 for his time. Very happy."

I would definitely use this company again

It went great. They came, did a through evaluation, gave me an estimate for free. They even suggested ways that we could do some of the stuff ourselves to save money. They were nice and professional and much cheaper than others I called.

John and his team are always professional and so nice! I live in a woodsy area and my tenants' unit had a terrible cockroach problem. Plus, we had mice and rats in the attic. I went through two of the bigger pest control companies. They delivered the same service as Johnny Rat but at twice the price. Literally! Also, I didn't get much personal attention with the "big companies." With Johnny Rat I know I can always ask specific questions and get tips on keeping my pest problems at bay. Because of the area where I live, I get returning spiders and cockroaches sometimes, but I'm almost pest free. And, Johnny Rat has a guarantee: if we spot any pests between monthly services they come back and do a treatment for free. Better results, cheaper, better service than the "bigs!"

They did a great job. They lay the traps and caught some rats. They were prompt and stuck to the quote that they gave me. They were very professional too. If need be, then I would use their services in the future too.
