Description of Work: On the phone, the woman quoted me a free inspection and $150 if they remove a dead animal. There was no dead animal (or any animals at all). The guy still tried to charge me $85 just for the visit, saying she misquoted their services on the phone. He then claimed I had a SERIOUS rodent problem under my house, and he would come back later in the week, but I had to pay that $85 plus an undetermined amount upon his return - they couldn't provide a quote for the proposed work. I then had Orkin come out - two different inspectors came over the next week who each said my property was clear of rodents, and no issue at all, that I could just use a little preventative work that I could easily do myself with a few supplies from Home Depot. The Johnny Rat guy was a total scam - were going to charge me who-knows-how-much for a non-existent rat problem - just because I couldn't physically see under the house - they were relying on my blind trust to totally scam me.

Description of Work: Sealed all possible rodent entires with new screens/access doors, set traps under house and in attic and applied a garlic gel around previous entry areas. So far, with two return visits they caught 6 rats from the attic and under the house. I'm sure they will trap any remaining rats since they can't get out now that everything is sealed.

+ -1 moreDescription of Work: Client was hearing noises in attic and noticed rat droppings in the heater area. Johnny Rat Pest Control was notified and arrived and performed initial inspection. Technician discovered signs of rodent activity, including rodent urine and various entry points in exterior areas of home and structure. Technician noticed tree branches extending close to the rooftop and structure of home. Further investigation showed entry points i.e. gable vents, fasica boards along soffit boards and roof air vents. Technician proposed Step 1: Repaired entry points. Step 2: Applied organic rodent repellants around key areas of home. Step 3: Set rodent traps in attic. Step 4: Follow-up and re-inspection all points of entry to see if any additional activity had occurred. Additional service conducted included (2) two follow-up inspections which was included in price. Client was 100% satisfied with total service performed. Client was very impressed with technician's promptness, professionalism and knowledge, which also included referrals for various other services needed.

Description of Work: Great quality work. Candelario, John's brother, came out and did a thorough inspection. I had a rat and possum problem in my attic. He sealed off all the possible entry points and then set multiple traps. He was very knowledgeable and gave me suggestions for preventing future problems. The price included 2 follow-up visits, which showed that the problem had been solved. Very happy---rats creep me out.

He took care of the problem for me. He came back and checked the traps. He also did the mice and other insect control. I would continue to use him.

+ -1 moreJohnny Rat is one of the top companies I have used. They always show up on time and are neatly dressed. They always wore booties to protect the carpets. They explained everything very clearly so I knew what steps were needed to be taken. It can be a creepy thing to deal with rats but I always felt comfortable that it was going to be handled. They cleaned everything up so beautifully and did some extra stuff in the yard as well. When they came back for a final inspection, everything was clear and looking great. The owner is so informed about all pest control and such a pleasure to work with, that I let go our other pest service go and hired him to be our regular maintenance provider. I cannot say enough good things about this company!
Description of Work: They inspected the house, garage, and attic; set traps, removed dead rats, put a "dust" to kills mites, removed all contaminated material in attic due to droppings, removed nest, sealed up all possible entries around entire house and garage, cleaned everything and set bait traps to determine if new pests were getting in.
