Description of Work: We had an underground leak in our concrete slab in the garage. Another plumber came first, jackhammered the floor and then declared he had to open up a bathroom wall, far from the leak, to find a T junction. This didn't make sense to us and we called Eli Baer, who we had used before, but couldn't get hold of the previous day. Eli came, found the leak and rerouted the piping saving our garage walls, bathroom walls. He knows what he is doing and makes sure the job is well done.

+ 0 moreI called Eli and we set up an appointment for the following week. When he didn't show up, I called and he explained that he'd forgotten that it was a Jewish holiday. We rescheduled for two days later and he did the job. The earthquake valve was the trickiest, as the meter is under the house and he had to come up with a way to brace it to the wall. Both jobs took a total of a couple of hours. His original estimate over the phone was $500 to $525, but I ended up paying $535, which I thought was fair under the circumstances.
Description of Work: Installed a seismic shut-off valve next to the gas meter, and replaced a pressure relief valve associated with the water pressure regulator valve. He also ran a short pipe through the wall so that the pressure relief valve drains outside the house.

+ 0 moreHe is a real professional. He arrives on time. He checks the work to be done. He needed a piece so he went to a plumbing supply store, came right back, and finished the job.
Description of Work: We had a problem for months with a shower drain and a bad smell every time I used the dishwasher. He always arrived on time and immediately found that the plumbing to the dishwasher had originally been badly connected. He fixed that and then cleaned the drain to the shower.
