It didn't.

It went well. They showed up on time and generally kept the place clean when they left. The project took about a week and half. Issue that I had was dealt with to my satisfaction.

What a pleasure it was to have John and his crew complete the painting project I had. Dan, the foreman and his helper were professional from the start and it continued thru to the very end of the job. They protected my home and were extremely careful not to damage any furniture during the "shifting around process" that starts and ends a job of this nature. A perfect job! Its nice to see that there are still PROFESSIONALLY RUN businesses like Johns' that treat the customer with the basic respect and courtesy that they deserve and so rarely get. I am proud to recommend Johns services to any and all people who need it done right the first time! Great job Guys!

From start to finish, everything about John Villar's CertaPro (with a very polite and hard working father/son team, Fernando and Daniel) was extremely professional and smooth. When John Villar arrived to do an estimate, he was punctual, dressed professionally in his company's attire, and he set immediately to work with a laser measurement device and laptop computer taking measurements of my condo. No wasted time, no awkward questions, no bad vibes, no discomfort of being smoozed (which I'd experienced with three other painting services during their estimates). John Villar put me right at ease because he was all about the job. Every other painter had something seriously "off" about either their consultations or phone dealings to confirm the deal later on. And each time I kept thinking about my first impressions of John and how much I trusted him from the start. I kept saying, "Let's call CertaPro," and we did. John also had a detailed price breakdown sheet (none of his competitors did) and all of his emails during the work were prompt and cordial. He was fine with additions we made halfway through the job as well. John's crew (Fernando and Daniel) was wonderful. This father/son team were promptly there at 8 AM on the dot (and 7:30 AM on the final day), and they finished early afternoons too which was convenient for me. They were so polite and agreeable, and I felt comfortable leaving the condo for hours in their care. Fernando recommended going with a lighter shade of paint than we'd originally planned and the final result was beautiful! So glad we went with his advice! No paint spills, no drips, no missed areas, everything looked smooth and carefully done. (And they brush painted everything--no cheap spray job). When we shook hands today and I paid, I felt very happy with the final result. It was well worth the money. No delays, no hassles, no regrets. All in all, I would definitely use John's CertaPro again and I give highest marks to him and his team! I am one very happy customer. Thank you!

Rather give you a summary: Price competitive. Quality excellent. Did exactly what we agreed to have done, plus a little. Pleasant, up-beat owner and workmen. Happy as clams with experience.

Certa Pro did not cover furniture and floors. Luckily the paint came off the furniture. I still occasionally find spots of paint on my floors. I have been scrapping paint of windows, mirrors and floors for months. They did not fill holes and cracks or sand scuff the walls as described in the prep part of our contract. They hardly taped anything and their lines were wavey. I had them redo the wall to ceiling lines in the family room. Because they did not sand, little bumps not visible with light colored paint became visible with darker colors. I am 72 years old and have been working on the walls for months redoing lines and filling holes. While the painters were very nice and seemed to want to do a good job, I feel they were rushed. Perhaps John did a very poor job of estimating the time and effort the job would require. Or maybe he got a bigger job and wanted his men off my job. half way through, he pulled one of the painters. I finally decided the job complete when I asked the painters to redo some lines along the floor boards and it was worse after the redo. They wanted to do a walk through but I declined. They were in such a rush to leave that asking them to touch something up only made it worse. Regardless, If I were younger, I would have done the job myself and it would have been 50% better the first time around. I would never hire them again.

John was able come to my home for an estimate in the very next morning after I contacted him. Very professional and explained everything in detail. His bid was not the lowest but his professionalism made me very comfortable with him and hired him on the spot. John was able to work with my tight schedule and finish the project on time before my floor installation. We had a few bumps (literally) and a surprise (left by previous owner) during the project and John came to the site promptly, provided solution and addressed the issues. Sergio and his crew were very patient with my being very picky, thanks! I am very happy with the final result and will not hesitate to hire them again or refer them to my friends.

John and his team provided excellent service. He offered some design assistance and paint samples so we could make a decision about our color scheme. The quote was competitive compared to the others we received but more service was included for the price. CertaPro also has all the required insurance and worker's comp paperwork that the other bidders did not have. They also include a two year warranty and a thorough walk through and touch up service within a week or two of completing the job. The team was always on time and very professional. Everything was cleaned up every day before the crew left so that they could minimize the inconvenience to us.

I just had two big jobs done on my home. One, was painting the entire exterior of the house and the other was to clean up, sand and stain a beautiful staircase that was installed in the house many years ago, but never finished. I am extremely happy with the work John, Casey and their team did on my home. John was great with communicating and following up with me. Always making sure, the job was going as planned and made sure to ask if I had any questions or concerns at all. John really provided top notch customer service. I love the fact, that Casey and his team, ALWAYS arrived on time, as scheduled and they were very easy to talk to and work with. They were very efficient and did a great job on both of the projects, all within the time frame that was set. And also, in getting other estimates for these jobs, CertaPro by far offered the best pricing ! I have some more projects to do in the home and without a doubt, I will be having CertaPro take care of them ! =-)

My entire experience with John and Casey from Certa Pro painters was top-notch. John demonstrated professionalism, accuracy, and good old customer service. Throughout the entire job, from the initial estimate to working with my budget constrictions he does all he can to make the experience exceptional. Casey was my job foreman and rescued a fireplace that was held together with bubblegum a masking tape. He also covered numerous water stains perfectly and brought a bay window back to life. My new home is now absolutely beautiful inside. If you had seen my home before CertaPro painters had taken such good care of it you would certainly be as happy as I am with their work. I have already had two neighbors who knew what bad shape the inside of my home was in, love the paint job and ask me who painted the inside of my home.
