I contracted the tree trimming with Sam Zapata who sub-contracted it to Joel Padilla (aka Joel Martin). They came the weekend before Thanksgiving and trimmed the 3 trees in the front yard. They left the piles of debris and branches in my yard and in my neighbors yard (piles over 6 feet high) through Thanksgiving week and did not return for more than a week. So my neighbor and I had to live with these piles of branches in our front yards for more than a week. When they did return, they cleaned that up and proceeded to trim the 7 trees in my back yard. Again, they left huge piles of branches in my yard and in my neighbors yard and never did return. They also dropped branches on my fence and my neighbor's fence, causing severe damage. In addition, the workers threw branches and debris over my back fence. Also, they left branches hanging from elevated electric lines, they left a huge rope hanging from a tree in the front yard, they left motor oil cans around the yard, spilled motor oil on the concrete pavers, and did not complete the tree trimming. I have subsequently had to hire someone else to clean up and try to repair the fences. In spite of several emails and phone calls to Sam Zapata, he has failed to supervise his sub contractors or to make sure that the job was completed satisfactorily.
