+ -1 moreIt's been over a year, but I had a worn out sagging sectional door, and I found an Angie's List deal. A rep came out and we decided on a color coated door that matched the trim pretty well, and we arranged a day for installation. The crew actually came out twice, because the new opener that was part of the deal hadn't been installed (I think that their work order didn't list it; no problem actually.) The quality of the work and the door/opener is wonderful. The door is insulated, and the opener is wifi enabled, meaning that I get a push notification when the door is opened/closed, and I've given Amazon permission to use it to keep deliveries secure. This all works quite well. I'm delighted with the services performed and the quality of the product.

My garage doors were so rickety before I had the new openers installed and the doors tuned up, that I thought the old openers would fall off of the ceiling. Now, they're butter smooth and quiet. User friendly with car systems and rotating codes. Wall switches that tell you the time and temp. and turn on the lights in the openers when they sense motion in the garage. What else can you ask for?
Description of Work: There is always good, better, and best. When it comes to garage door applications and installers, Door Pros Garage Door Company and Dwight are the best. I had purchased a Liftmaster opener for my other home quite a few years back before I sold it. I ended up buying the same model house only with a three car garage, a double door and a single door. There were already openers on both doors from the previous owners. But, they were probably as old as the house(19-20 years) and were Genies, which I personally dislike. I bought two Chamberlain 1 1/4 HP from Home Depot as they had a sale. But, I was disappointed that they didn't carry Liftmaster. Well, when Laura called to setup the install appt. she said based on the information I gave Home Depot that the motors I bought were too much power for the application. When she said she could provide Liftmaster 3/4 HP solid slide, belt drive motors, with battery backup and a remote door opener plus install for the same price as I was paying for the two Chamberlains and install, I jumped on the deal. She said she was sending out Dwight and that he had been with the company for about a year. But, he had prior experience with another company for several years. I said please schedule him. He showed up on time, was friendly, knew his business and installed both my openers in a few hours. His work was excellent, he asked for my preferences on things like positioning of the remote pad, etc., and he was a down right affable man. I enjoyed talking with him during the various times I came out to see how far things were coming. I found out we both were from Fairfield at different times of course since he's about 10 years younger and we talked trucks, etc. I throughly enjoyed the installation and the installer. Some of the people I've dealt with in the past think they're doing you a favor. In this case, it was just the opposite. I felt like I had a friend over helping me with my openers. I highly recommend you try Door Pros and ask for Dwight. Their prices are fair, they got me scheduled right away, and I didn't feel like I had to tiptoe around the installer. Great deal all the way around. Plus, they have a great warranty.

+ -1 moreExcellent. Decided to replace my 17 year old jerky, loud garage door opener. Each activation was an adventure. Checked Angie's List and found Door Pros less than a mile from my house. I went to their store to get more information. Sales person was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Upgraded to a 3/4hp belt drive Liftmaster that is extremely quit and smooth with smart phone compatibility. The price was well below what I expected to pay installed for this quality. It was professionally installed by Justin and in my garage three hous later! He did a great job and demonstrated the variety of new features in our new opener. Very professional.

They took care of the whole problem which turned out to be a broken spring plus sheared gear module mechanism. I thought their prices were very fair and even got a $25 discount on the springs with their coupon on Angies list. Definitely will use Door Pros Sacramento if I need in the future..
Description of Work: Garage door opener quit working at one of my rentals so that on the way up the whole door stopped and then came crashing down with a thud. Couldn't open it even using release lever . Door needed repair ASAP..

Justin provided a higher quality door for less money than 5 competitors bidding an inferior door Justin provided a higher quality LIFTMASTER Opener for less $ than others w/ inferior opener. I have had my door now for 6 months and I love it.

+ -1 moreThey did an excellent job. We had an large sliding glass door, and wondered what was wrong with it. The track was smashed. We had to replaced the latch, the railing, the track, rebuilt the latch on the door, put another screen on it. It works picture perfect. He put in an whole new railing, an whole new track. The door looked alright to me, but he said no, and some kind of way the door was bent, we could not get the door to close, and there was always an portion not open, an gap. The guy said the railing and all was bent. Laid down an new track, and extra security on the railing, to keep the door down. There was an deadbolt on the door, and he lifted it all up. He laid down the new security, and now everything is on track. You can put the deadbolt in the bottom now. The screen was new, and it kept flying out, and to us it was picture perfect, what it was the width of the screen, was not the width of the track. We kept wondering why it was flying. The screen was the wrong size door. We had to get the right size door, and once we did, it was picture perfect. He fixed the railing, the track, the screen on the glass door, the cat the things the latches too, he said it was wrong, and he had to fix it. Everything is perfect. He was punctual, always here, he made sure the job came first, and did the best he can. He stayed in contact, he let you know everything he did. He was upfront, what needed to be done, and made sure everything was done good. No unnecessary repairs. I like the way he secured the door. He did everything in an professional matter.

+ -1 moremy spring had ruptured (unknown to me), I tried to open garage and one cable broke and then the other and garage panels got bent. I was trapped in the garage. I called my regular company and they could not even send someone out for a day. I called one other and neither could they. I finally found the RIGHT company at door pros. Josh was sympathetic and knew my only car was trapped in the garage. He was able to send out a technician who was able to assess the problems and recommend a solution. The office called with a quote on the parts and the technician was able to rearrange his personal schedule to install the parts THE SAME DAY!!! What outstanding service! These folks are life savers! They were kind, responsive, fair, and performed outstanding service. My garage door opens and closes better than the original! This is my new go to company! Thank you door pros!

+ -1 moreDoor Pros used a subcontractor. I do not recall the company name or the person's name, who did the work. The technician arrived on time and worked rather quickly and professionally, as though he had done this job so often he could do it in his sleep. The whole job was done within half an hour. The old garage door was hauled away. The garage door opener that I had started to installed but could not finish was completed by the Technician. He swept up the work area removing very large and noticeable pieces of debris, and still there was one small screw left behind that lodged in the new garage door. I was able to remove it without damaging the new garage door.An unexpected plus was that the garage door installed is insulated; we did not ordered an insulated door nor were we charged for an insulated door. We also expected a person to arrive with Door Pros name and logo on their truck, yet surprised when another vender representing Door Pros arrived. We are very satisfied with the work done. Communicating to us that they would be sending out a subcontractor would have been nice and convenient for us, yet the contractor that arrive did an excellent job. I would hire this company again and have referred this company to a friend who needs two new hanging garage doors and remote control opener.

+ -1 moreI purchased a tune up deal again this year and they were GREAT. I asked them about side and replacing the bottom seals on both garage doors after they did the tune up. They advised me of several options and approx price. The price was very reasonable and they could get it scheduled and parts ordered that day. They came out today, installed both items and made sure everything was working correctly. He did bend the rubber part of the side seat at the top until the rubber becomes more flexable in the next few weeks. I showed me how to take of the staple when it becomes more flexable (not a big deal to take it out) He could have just left it but felt this would help later on seal better and not bind over the next few weeks. I will continue to use this provider in the future for my garage needs, they were GREAT. Thanks

Found out I had some bad wiring connection as well so the installer ran new wires to ensure a good connection. Ended up seeing an intermittent wiring error after installation and called after installation. They came out the next day and corrected the issue. Haven't seen it since! I recommended them to my parents who also needed a new garage door opener and they had no issues and are enjoying their new garage door opener as well.

+ -1 moreSince this service was conducted sometime last year, I will report the highlights of what I recall. The temperature was in the high 90's so the garage might have been hotter. The guy came, said he was here to work on garage opener. Didn't say much and went straight to work as it was hot and I got the feeling he wanted to take care of his task and move on. It was fortunate for him that my current garage opener was an earlier same model with all the compatible assemblies. All he had to do was replace the opener and the quiet rollers. I was surprised it didn't take him long to complete the job but he said I had all the parts. Before he started to leave I asked him about the smartphone control which was the main reason why I purchased this promotion. He said he was out of them and that I would have to call the company, give them the serial number and information about the installation and the smartphone control would be sent. I asked if he could give me the serial number which he responded he didn't know where it was as it was clear he was ready to go. He said it would be typically found near the light by the motor or something to that effect and then left. I couldn't believe I heard what I heard. So I called the company and explained what happened; they apologized and said they would send me the smartphone control direct. Today, although I received the device, I still have not been able to set it up.
