Description of Work: I am getting estimates on residential wrought iron fence/gate repair. I felt the bid was on high side. I am still getting bids. When I called the office the the girl who answered was very professional, spoke perfect english. She scheduled an estimate date and time on the first phone call. Terry Stump came out and gave the bid. He arrived on time, was very professional. He was very knowledgeable. He faxed me the bid the next day which was very detailed. If I can not get a better bid with a reputable company, I may bite the bullet and have them do the work.

Description of Work: I used the services of Stump Fence Co. to repair my gate.

Description of Work: We wanted to have a wrought iron fence with a locking gate installed across the end of our front walkway and planters so our cats could be let out there to play but not be able to get out into the driveway area and be at risk from passing cars. We checked out several fence companies and looked at catalogs of their products and photos of some of their completed work. The Stump Fence Company impressed us with the quality of their work. The people working in their office and manufacturing facility in Glendora were very helpful and courteous. We chose a design we liked, and had it customized so the spaces between the vertical bars would be narrow enough to prevent our cats from squeezing through the gaps. The price was not the cheapest one we found, but we felt it was very reasonable for the quality and what we wanted to have done. The fencing and gate were fabricated and installed in a timely manner. The installers were all professional and courteous. The overall length of the fencing was 10 1/2 feet, which included the gate in the center with rigid sections of fencing on each side of the gate. The price of the job included a doorknob plus a locking dead bolt to secure the gate. We were very happy with the Stump Fence Company and would recommend them to other people. Additional note: A few weeks ago I spent a couple of days repainting the fencing and gate, as the original paint had faded noticeably in the five years since the gate was installed. The fence is on the south side of our condo and is exposed to full sunlight. It also is exposed to water spray from our sprinkler system every night. I think five years is a reasonable length of time for the original paint to have lasted.
