The project went well and I am pleased with the results and with my experience with Stump Fence. The specs were custom and it took time to make 500 feet of fence. I worked closely with the owner, Terry Stump on the design. There were some initial delivery in which the manufacturer did not follow some of the specs, but Terry quickly had the work redone per the original plans. I found his oversight of the entire project and regular communication to be more than satisfactory. The work took about two weeks from start to finish, including the removal of the existing chain link fence, post setting, and welding in the inron panels. The crew was very good and I always felt they were doing good work, even when I was not around. I would heartily recommend Terry Stump and company for your fencing needs. I chose Iron becuase there is a view form the lot and I like the classic look of it. Terry can give you design ideas - they do all types of fencing (wood, vinyl, iron, chain, etc...). If you are thinking about iron fence, Stump Fence Col is a very reputable choice for the work.

I offered to pay for their service as the work was finished but was told that the company would bill me after all work was completed and I was happy with the fence. I received the bill approximately 1 week later. It was exactly as stated in the estimate. No "unexpected" costs were added. I was extremely happy with their service and would request them again.

It took us some time to decide on the final project date, so when we called Matt, he came out again to be sure that he remembered the house/project to give clear directions to his crew.The crew of 2 arrived promptly and completed the project in 2 days. There were a few nails we felt could have been hammered in a bit more and Matt sent someone over the next day to take care of it. It was great!

Matt came right away and estimated the wall. The guys that did the work forgot a part and I didn't catch it right away. When I brought it to Matt's attention, he checked with the crew and they owned the error and made it right. Fantastic!

I received three quotes (two from Angies list) and right away my wife and I liked both companies from Angie's list. Matt Stump came out to our house and was right on time. We didn't know exactly what we wanted for the front yard and he came up with some great design and color suggestions. He had different pictures to show us and explained what we should do and why. He was very patient with us and we didn't feel rushed. Once we received all three quotes Stump Fence was in the middle on price, but all three quotes were pretty close. Ultimately we went with Stump Fence because of Matt's professionalism and patience with us. It took the installation crew two days to complete the fence and both days they came right on time. The crew was extremely friendly and professional. Their craftsman ship was better than expected. Terry Stump showed up on site the second day to see how everything was going and made some suggestions about our back yard gates that made sense. The installation crew did a great job and cleaned everything up after they were done. Throughout the process Matt Stump was very easy to get a hold of if I had any questions. It was really a great experience from beginning to end and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They were prompt, courteous, efficient. They were very good. There were nothing that I disliked. Their price on what was done, was just about right.

They’re a pretty good outfit. I was very happy with the quality of their work. They came in and they seemed to be very efficient at what they did. They actually exceeded my expectations in the quality of work and we were very happy with the fence job they did for us. The price was a little on the high side but for the quality of work, it was worth it. They came at the prescribed time, they were in and out, and they cleaned up. They hauled away the old fence. They know what they’re doing. I would recommend them.

We contacted about 8 contractors to bid on fence replacement for our Homeowners Association. Only three took the time to come out to offer a bid and only one arrived on time. That was Matt Stump from Stump Fence Company, to whom the project was ultimately given. Every day the crew arrived promptly and worked a long day before closing up for the evening. Matt was there overseeing work and addressed all of our concerns quickly and professionally. They were very mindful of our pets and made sure that all our yards were secure at the end of each day. Methodically they removed the old fence and replaced it with new redwood fencing over a 5 ½ day span. The crew was very friendly, energetic and highly skilled. Each night the work area was left clean and neat, ready for the next day?s work. The new fence looks wonderful and is solid as a rock. Our neighbors have complimented us on what a nice job was done by Stump Fence Company and we?re happy to provide a positive reference to anyone considering their services. Our HOA proudly supports local, family owned businesses for our projects and are extremely pleased with our new fence and the expert installation provided by Stump Fence Company..

They were really good. They were very courteous and in and out.

They repaired all of it including a seperate corner of our neighbors fence that he asked for and they also put in a chain link dog run for us. They were about 15 minutes late arriving the first day but were on time the second day. The second day we didn't even realize they were here at first which I liked, but they kept the yard clean, reinforced both side of the fence and did the job they came to do. And were polite.

Their prices are high. We’re not going with them; we’re going with another company. If their prices were more competitive we would consider them; however, we got three bids and they were the highest. I don’t have anything against them, they just weren’t as low-priced as everyone else.

The work went off very well. They were on time, did a good job, and it is a nice fence. They were very professional and we were very happy. They do a high quality job, they were on time, and they met the budget.

I called and explained the job, an estimator came out promptly.

Work was done professionally. I have had positive feedback from friends. Workers removed old fence, built a low block wall and topped it with wood. They were neat and made suggestions to improved the appearance of the finished product. Our original gate was used and installed perfectly.

Stump Fence Co. came out to take measurements for a new wood fence, then sent me an email estimate within 24 hours. Twice I asked for amendments to the original fence design and twice more they emailed amended estimates to me promptly. When we finally settled on an estimate and design they set a date and completed the project within three days. They built a cap and trim style cedar fence and three matching gates. I was pleased with the service and the experience. All the company's representatives were polite and professional.

I wanted a local company and selected Stump Fence which is a family owned company from the telephone book. I went to Angus List to see if they were listed. They were listed and had very favorable reviews from customers who used them. The fence collapsed due to rust at the base of some posts but mainly due to loose bolts holding the fence to the block wall. Terry Stump came out and gave me an estimate on the entire job including some repair jobs where rust damaged fencing near the house. We set a date for the job to be done. They came on time with the new fencing. The entire fence was replaced the same day, welding areas painted and the old fence hauled away. They came back the next day to complete the repair job requested by the homeowner and did not take very long. They did an excellent job and I was very satisfied.

As you know, because of the wind storm all of the fencing people and general contractors were very busy repairing the damage. Matt came out within four days and gave me an accurate estimate. I phoned him the next day and asked when they could do the job for me. He told me they could get a crew to my home in a week and they did. Two men arrived within ten minutes of the time promised, and by three in the afternoon my repaired redwood fence and gate were new and "looking good". The two man crew was friendly and efficient. I would gladly recommend this company to anyone needing their fencing repaired or rebuilt.

Owner came out at the designated time. He was friendly and listened to what I wanted. Asked for a bid on a block wall with iron gate on public side and a bid on a chain link that I share with a non contributing neighbor. Bid was complete and competitive with another landscape business but higher than an independent contractor. Due to cost of block wall I asked for a bid on a wooden fence. He responded promptly. I feel his company would do quality work, and is able to handle a variety or job requests.

Everything went fine but they too expensive.

The appointment for the bid was on time. The bid was emailed the next day. Construction was started on the day promised and finished the next day. All the people I dealt with were polite, helpful and spoke English. I would definitely use this company again.

My only complaint would be that no drawing of the design for the gate was provided.

They did and excellent job on the fence. I would recommend them anytime.

I did not use them because the price was just not within my budget. The price they quoted me was about $3,000 for that work. I am sure they do good work. They were very polite, professional and friendly. I think that the owner was the one that came out and he was very nice. Had I been able to afford them I would have used them.

He was really nice, forthright, and honest. He was just great.
