Description of Work: Very thorough inspection. Adjusted a few things and didn't try to sell me any additional services since my garage door was working well after a couple of minor adjustments and lubrication.

Then too much time was spent discussing the possibility of my purchasing a brand New garage door which was probably the intent behind the original"service" offer. Wasn't interested in pursuing this any further.

Description of Work: I saw the offer in Angie's List for a garage door opener review. One of my garage door openers was not working properly and the motor was noisy. The technician showed up on time serviced the opener and quickly determined that one of the sensors was defective. This sensor was the reason the door did not close properly. The technician lubricated the springs , replaced the sensor and explained that the motor was noisy because the rails and some other parts were not properly adjusted. He also replaced most of the rollers since they had rusted. The additional charge was $240. which I felt was quite reasonable. There was no effort to upsell me and he suggested I should have the door serviced every 18 months. i was quit happy with the service and the price. Finally, the technician arrived earlier than he estimated even though he had a 40+ mile commute to my house.

Description of Work: Our garage door opener would not close the door.Within two hours of my call,Kris Barton was at my home and diagnosed the immediate problem. A long-term problem was identified-the wrong springs had been installed by another company and these were making the opener unit work too hard,cutting down its life expectancy.Mr Barton did not pressure us to buy new springs,but we felt it was the safest thing to do.The price was reasonable and the Angie's List coupon helped!
