Description of Work: This is the most unprofessional company that I have ever had the displeasure of having to do business with. It began shortly after completing the contract for them to replace my roof. When writing up the contract, I specifically told Ron that I did not want subcontractors involved. The company that came to remove my old roof were subcontracted by Hull and Sons. I called Hull and Sons regarding the breach of contract when we specifically agreed that no subcontractors would do the work. They patronized me with an excuse that although they do not work under the name Hull and Sons, they are employees of Hull and Sons. Then the subcontractors asked me to sign a waiver releasing them from liability if they damaged anything on my property. In order to get the new roof replaced, I did not sign the waiver but I, stupidly, did let the work continue. My mistake! After the subcontractors completed their work, which included killing one of my plants, Hull and Sons proceeded to replace my roof (a roof that had NEVER leaked in 12 years, even when the wind had blown off some of the end cap and ~4 shingles). Of course, the work failed inspection because they "accidently" forgot to put in the increased ventilation which was required and that I had paid for. They had to come back to do that. More days wasted that I had to take time off of work for, but it finally passed inspection even though the work was performed so sloppily that my new roof looked terrible. Multiple visitors to my home commented on the sloppy work which of course caused embarrassment to me. I called back to Hull and Son to complain about the quality of the job and was told by Kyle Hull, the owner's son, that "I know it doesn't look good but I promise it won't leak". After multiple complaints to the owner, Harlan Hull, they finally came out to repair the worst of the quality issues. The roof still does not look like it was done by professional roofers but it was the best that they could do, I was told so I have given up on having a great looking roof and now just want one that doesn't leak. With the first rain after having the new roof put on we found two areas that leaked. I called again to complain that it was leaking near one of my fireplaces and near a furnace outlet. They came out again and tried to fix it. Each time I call it is several days before my calls are returned and it typically takes more than one call for them to respond. Each time they are scheduled to come out, they are typically late by at least an hour. It has been almost a year, and with each rain, I have to call them back out because the roof is still leaking. The last time I had called, Kyle Hull personally told me that he would be coming out with the crew when they "repaired" the leak. He, of course, never showed up and never returned my calls. As of today, 09 May 2016, I still have a roof that I paid $13,000 for that leaks and doesn't look like the work was performed by professionals. It has been almost a year, I have had to take multiple days off of work so that I can be at my home for the repair crew to not fix the leak. This has been a very stressful and frustrating experience. I had never written a scathing review before this experience but could not, with good conscience, not warn others against this company. I just hung up from the owner, Harlan Hull, who promises that he and a work crew will be at my house at 8:00am tomorrow. We will see if this infuriating experience can finally be over now that the owner is, finally, personally involved.
