The technician was very polite, they sent me his picture before he arrived so I knew who to look for. He put on special rubber shoes when he was in the house so he wouldn’t dirty my floors. He explained what I needed in the future, and I signed up for another year‘s contract. I have used Cypress Heating and Air for many years on my home and rentals and have always been satisfied with their service.

Very well, very honest in their assessment and reasonable with their fee.

Very professional and they put covers on their shoes to make sure they are not bringing dirt inside the house. Joey is the technician who came out, he is so wonderful, very professional and clean.

Badly, the tech told me I had a collapsed 4” flex duct to an upstairs bathroom. The charge would have been $320.00. I contacted the builder of my condo, who sent out a repair person, who found a piece of plastic had not been removed over a vent in the attic. Needless to say I did not pay for the extra repair. The diagnosis appeared to be dishonest or an untrained tech.

The central air conditioner is now blowing cool air.

If you are looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and skillful group of people, hire Cypress Heating and Air Conditioning. I contracted with Rodney at Cypress to clean and seal the attic, replace the ductwork, install a Lennox heating and cooling system, and to insulate the attic. He sent experts for every phase of the project. I was extremely pleased with the work performed by Tony, Saul, Lee, Oscar, Alex, Ted, and Freddie. They were courteous and very accommodating. Moreover, they ensured everything was done according to my requests. The new system delivers more heat and air to each room than the old one did and the insulation keeps temperatures pretty stable so the system is hardly running. I highly recommend Cypress Heating and Air Conditioning if you are considering a new system. They are experts at installing everything properly to maximize performance of the equipment. Their prices are reasonable and they are certified with the electric and gas companies so you can qualify for energy upgrade rebates.

It cost nothing. Good, no issues so far. The workers were a solid “B”. They are pretty good, nothing unusual to report. I have used them a number of times already, many years and just continue to use them. It has been 3 or 4 years.

They are ok but not the greatest. They quoted a price to fix something and them they talked me into buying a maintenance plan and I thought the plan would include them completing the fix and it did not. I had to pay additional money for them to come back and complete the fix. I was never really given the full price. It wasn’t clear that I had to come up with additional money for me to complete the fix. Their office is hard to reach sometimes.

We did not like them. The reason we did not care for the work so much was because the last time they were there that we had them do something, they were trying to convince us that we had to completely replace the air conditioner which lasted another two years. I remember the incident. We did not say anything to them because it was later on that we figured it out, but we never talked to them about it. We just said we would never use them again. The work was okay. It was just some of the things that they said. They did good work. They were very responsive and punctual. As far as doing the work, they were professional. The experience itself was fine. It was just after we figured things out that we were kind of like we will never use them again.

The service provided was excellent. I got a very prompt return call when I left a message, and was paid an immediate visit on the same day. I knew my system was essentially way past due for replacement (nearly 30 years old), and it had broken down. The assessment by the repair person appears to have been very accurate, and he was honest about what was wrong. He gave me the option to replace the broken part, but also openly discussed options in addition to repairs, which helped me to eventually decide on a replacement of the system rather than continuing with costly and frequent repairs. I purchased a mid-line HVAC system which I saw immediate significant improvement on. They also performed a service in a timely manner (and during the hottest week of the summer). I'm grateful they were very responsive and very professional. I was given several quotes on a variety of options which included labor as well as the systems.

It was great. I didn't have to pay any more.

Went very well. He arrived within the scheduled timeframe. Found the cause of the problem quickly. Replaced a capacitor, and the problem was solved.

I would use them again in the future.

The owner came for estimate. He did not get beyond the opening to the attic and looked at the furnace, coil at a distance. He suggested that i install Lennox condenser (cheapest model), new coil, pressure test copper pipes. Verbally, he said the estimate was about $4500. When he submitted a written estimate, his price increased to $5990 for 14 Seers and $5,790 for 13 Seers. His visit was on June 24th, 2016. Submission of the written proposal was dated the same day but was not e mailed to me until June 27th only upon my repeated request. However, the written proposal states that it is only good for Seven (7) days. He did not give me much time to make a decision. Most proposal I have seen have a standard 30 day period instead of 7 day.

It didn't. I left a call first thing in the morning stating I had an emergency situation. It's been 9 hours and I still haven't heard back from them.

3 hr appointment window was given from 11-2PM. Requested to be called before coming so that I did not have to wait around. This is a good service to offer. However - I had to call the office instead to see if technician still coming by 2:10PM. Was told that technician was on the way. He arrived at 3PM and was very courteous. Respected my wood floor and clean walls with booties and laying out a cloth when setting the ladder down. Was able to explain my concerns but could not figure out a resolution for the issue. I respect the honesty. He recommended to come back out again with a senior technician. They did come out the following week and the two again were very professional. However - I had to call to check why no one showed up at my appointment time again and found out I was not on the book but was quickly corrected. I think they are good and understand that they may be busy and have overlooked the scheduling details. Suggestion: Call the customers to inform them if you are late instead of having the customer tracking you down. BTW: I have not received that solution/proposal of the work that needs to be done. Left 2 messages.

Our 30 year old (3 Ton, SEER 10) air conditioning system seemed like it was becoming more and more expensive to operate. We were starting to consider replacing it in the next year or two. We also knew our ducts were leaky, and largely un-insulated, so they too should be replaced. We pre-paid for an Angie's List's $50 HVAC "checkup" with Cypress as a job interview. Cypress' technician Ivan was very personable and patiently explained the state of our air conditioning system. He said the system had just leaked a little Freon and he would have things running much better shortly. That seemed only "optimistic" at the time, though now we understand it was quite Knowingly Impossible. EVERYONE we later presented with the system's earlier performance numbers (photographed on Cypress' instrument) said the compressor efficiency was down, but it would probably keep working, albeit costing more to run. Everyone also reviewed the system as left by Cypress, and told us there were at least 2 LBS too much coolant in it (exactly the amount added by Cypress). Turns out there had not been any leak, and we never were low on Freon. Our system had the right amount of Freon already. Cypress OVER-filled it, and we Paid them to do it. We subsequently had the system pressure tested to 400 psi, and ultimately re-used our old lines; everything was fine, our compressor was just at end of life. Hearing that Leak Seal was also used, AFTER adding Freon alone did not help, cinched all opinions that we were taken with full knowledge by Cypress. Their dishonesty allowed them to create a much bigger problem, which they were happy to offer to "solve" (for an insane price). In retrospect, with education since, we should have been given Extremely Slim odds of improving our current system, and warned of a Very High chance of making things worse. They should have just given us a quote for replacement and declined to even try to "improve" our existing system. All the information was there, but Cypress was happy to exploit our ignorance and interpret things as best suited them, not us. Accepting their advice left the system over-filled with R-22, plus leak seal, and immediately crippled the compressor. Though it had been costing more to run, it had been keeping the house cool just fine. Cypress left it not running at all, charging us to do it, and leaving us completely without air conditioning for the month of August. We would happily have limped with what we had for another year while selecting a contractor and having work done during the winter. Thanks to Cypress, we got weeks of 100+ degree heat without A/C. They were the first company we contacted. Now, much later, having received 6 quotes for the project, and ultimately having the work done (at MUCH lower cost) -- installing a 4T condenser (SEER 16, R-410a) and evaporator, plus replacing ducts, AND certified to Title 24 standards -- Cypress' Lowest quote price (for a 3 Ton R-22 condenser alone, SEER 14) ended being 60% higher than the Highest price quote we received from Anyone else -- a quote for Much more extensive work and more hardware (4 Ton condenser (SEER 16, R-410a), evaporator, ducts, AND radiant barrier insulation installed). Cypress would have charged us TWICE what we paid Sears, for roughly the work we had done, and they would have left us with R-22 when the world has long since gone to R-410a, and with 1 Ton less cooling capacity. We can now only caution others away from Cypress, whose absence of ethics proved very costly to us; hopefully someone will benefit from our experience.

Terrible. I am going to have to hire another service to repair the damage they did.

After our air conditioner began blowing only warm air on a hot and muggy day, I called a few companies only to learn they did not service our area or could not come out for many days. I found Cypress on Angie's List and they not only came out the same day but within the time they quoted. Saul was very professional and actually put on shoe covers to come in the house. I was concerned this would be an expensive repair and was concerned about being taken advantage of by a contractor wanting to do unnecessary repairs. Within 10 minutes he diagnosed the problem as a failed capacitor. He also recommended we install a hard start kit to help extend the life of the compressor. With all of the parts and labor the repair and hard start kit only came to $375. I felt Saul and Cypress were very honest and professional, and I will definitely use them again and recommend them to others. I was very much relieved to find a contractor I felt was honest and I could trust.

he is very good and polite. i feel he did a good job and trust wortthy. , so far the air conditioning is working.

Everyone was pleasant and professional. Service technician arrived earlier than the scheduled time (this is a good thing). He quickly found the problem and explained that we needed to replace the capacitor. He also showed us what to do to maintain our unit. Our unit had stopped cooling but he had it up and running within 20 minutes.

I called this company when my a/c unit stopped working on a very hot day. The gal that answered the phone was so nice, patient and informative! She told me to check the batteries. I had no clue the thermostats used batteries! Some companies would have charged the service call, sent someone out and changed the batteries! I will definitely use this company again in the future!
