Accurate Electrical Services is outstanding! Their bid on this big job was slightly higher than the other bid I got, but was well worth it. Their quality was apparent from the very first bid, which was line-by-line detailed, so I understood exactly what work they would do. They estimated two weeks to complete the work, but finished in a week and a half. The arrived on time every day, put in a good day's work, and cleaned up before they left. They were all friendly, easy to work with, very professional, and they thought of and added a few nice touches that I would not have thought of, such as dimmer switches in some areas. I would definitely recommend them, and will certainly use them for my future electrical work. My house was built in 1968, and I had installed a 200 amp panel and photovoltaic (solar) system, but had done no other upgrades. The system was clearly inadequate for current technology, and far from meeting current codes. I had Accurate bid on both a complete rewire, and a major upgrade. They felt the major upgrade would meet my needs, would meet current codes, and it was considerably cheaper, so that is what I chose. The first thing they did was run new grounding wires throughout the system, and install new circuits where needed - in the kitchen, the office, one bathroom, and the garage. They installed a total of 27 LED recessed can lights in 3 rooms, a hallway, and a stairway. Where there were lots of lights, they added dimmer switches for better control of the amount of light - a nice touch that I had not considered. They put the light over the kitchen sink and the under-counter lights on separate switches, so there is very good control of which lights are in use. They removed all the old outlets, switches, and switch plates and replaced them all with new ones. They did a great job of hanging two chandeliers in the entry hall, which has a very high ceiling, and they were careful of the elevation at which the lights were hung, relative to the entry doors and over-door window. The upgraded the garage lighting, retrofitting one old fluorescent fixture to a new energy efficient T8, and installed two other T8 fluorescent fixtures near the work bench, one to provide general lighting and one as an under-shelf light directly over the work area. They created a new exterior outlet at my front porch, and upgraded the other two exterior outlets with rain-protective covers. They removed some odd old "accessories" that were no longer needed, like plugs for wall clocks. The installed new exterior lights at the back patio doors, and a new doorbell for the front door. And they installed ceilings lights in two bedrooms which previously had no "installed" lights. The house is so much more livable now, and I'm delighted to be able to see what I'm doing, in every room and hallway. Note that I purchased the light fixtures - pendant lights, ceiling lights, under-counter strips and chandeliers - and they provided all the recessed lights. The only thing that had to be re-done was the pendant lights in the kitchen, because the first ones I purchased would hold a standard base incandescent light, and even though I had CFL bulbs in them, the City of Long Beach inspector would only accept pendant lights that were LED or CFL-only, so we redid the pendants with LEDs. Following their work, I had the interior of the house painted. In that process, one light fixture was incorrectly re-installed by the painter and was not working. I also found one outlet that was not working. Accurate's supervisor who had done this job came back right away and made these two fixes at no charge. I am really impressed with how easy these people were to work with, and how good their work is. I enthusiastically recommend them.

I dont like leaving poor reviews but in this case I just felt I compelled to. Everything started out great with my initial call in to schedule an appointment. They were very polite, very professional, I was given the company's bio and was even told who specifically would be coming out to my house. I felt very good about this and thought Id made the right call. I made an appt for 09/10 I believe, for 3pm. I cant remember if it was a 2 or 3 hr window, so it was either 3-5pm or 3-6pm. Problem was that on the day of the appt., the tech, Eric, was done early and their office called me to try and push up the appt. I was out at lunch at the time so i missed the phone call. By the time i called back around 1:30 or so, I was advised that Eric was done early and so he was sent to another job. He would not be available for my appt. anymore so I would have to re-schedule! What the heck, are you serious? I did nothing wrong and now I have to re-schedule? I had already made arrangements to leave work early to be home by 3pm but because I wasnt available hours earlier, I was now being penalized for it and forced to reschedule? Its not that easy to get out of work early, I had made special arrangements to leave early. This is a VERY VERY POOR business practice to cancel peoples appointments simply because they are not available all day just in case the tech is available earlier. Eric should not have been re-assigned to another job if he would not have been available in time for my scheduled appointment. Then the main office had Eric call me to try and reschedule but he said that with all the work I wanted done, those couple of hours weren't enough time anyway. Ok, so why wasnt I told that before?? How am I supposed to know how much time they should allot for the different jobs? **I just want to clarify that this review is based on the extremely poor business practice of cancelling peoples appointments if they arent available much earlier then their scheduled appointments. They sound like great people and Im sure their work is great too, but unfortunately, I never got to that point since they felt the need to cancel my appt with no regard for what i had to go through to be home on time. Callers beware: be available all day or risk getting re-scheduled.

We noticed that some of the outlets in our kitchen went out on a Friday night and we called Accurate first thing Saturday morning. Sherri was wonderful and tried to help us over the phone in case it was just something easy. Unfortunately, it wasn't. They sent Eric out a couple of days later and he identified the fuse box as the problem. He and his team took care of everything: city permit, fuse box replacement, cleanup. He even referred us to someone who could repair the stucco around the fuse box. We could not have asked for an easier (and stress free) experience. They get an A+ in our book.

I contacted Accurate Electrical Services to get a price quote. A time was set up at my convenience. Mike showed up on time and looked at my existing lighting, which was non functional at the time, and gave me some quotes on fixing the existing lighting or changing to the newer LED can lights. I chose the LED and then Mike called the office so we could set up an appointment to do the actual project. Mike and Joe showed up on time and performed the work promised. They were very careful to be neat and clean in the area where work was performed. Some trouble shooting was performed with the wiring, which was older and fed to two switches, fixed that issue too. In the end all looked fantastic. Thanks so much for the great job! I also would like to add that Mike is an amazing young man, very well spoken and intelligent. Did not get to engage in as much conversation with Joe but found him very pleasant as well.

Mike P. was great, worked his butt off all day. He was on time, friendly, professional, thoroughly explained the needs and what he was replacing. He even went to Home Depot twice to get the right parts to finish the job. We were very pleased. We felt confident in what he did and the cost.

My wife and I are in escrow to buy a house. Our General inspector advised us to get an Electrical inspection. Based on reviews on Angie's list we gave Accurate Electrical Services a call. They were great from the beginning, Fantastic costumer service from the first person I talked to. We scheduled for them to come out and inspect the whole house. Our service tech was Mike P. He was great! After doing his inspection he walked us through the house and pointed out the good and the bad with the electrical system for this house. He made it very easy to understand what potential problems there might be. We now know what needs to be addressed right away and what can wait. When the house closes in a few weeks we will have Accurate Electrical Services perform the needed work. Great Company, If anyone ever needs a electrician they should be your first call.

The worker, the one that we used, is fantastic. He is knowledgeable, extremely professional. He is really, i mean he represents his company extremely well. He worked clean. Their pricing is very accurate, very appropriate. There is no problem. Once they do what they do the job is done.

The installation of our outlet was quick and painless. Our electrician provided excellent customer service, and even offered various prices for some other services we were thinking of getting done in the future.

It started out well. We set up a date but they never showed at the appointment time. I called and they were very apologetic. I seem to have "slipped through schedule." These things happen and they were very sorry and accommodating. They came the next day and did the job in a very professional manner.

Our power went off and once the breaker was turned back on we had a serious problem that had not been solved for over a week, no power in our Dining Area at all. Our handy man aimed to locate the problem, and found it was not in that room. He looked and saw some old bad wiring work in our electrical panel, he didn't want to touch it, it was too risky more than he wanted to attempt. I knew we needed help from professionals. As an Angie's List member after looking at many companies and reviews I decide on the ratings and comments from customers about Accurate Electrical Services and decided to give them a call. It was the best choice, I called and my first contact person was Cherie who was very pleasant and professional. She scheduled a same day appointment and within 1 hour Eric was at my door. He was amazing 10+ in customer service, trouble shooting, communication and just old fashion great service. Our home we built in the mid 1950's, we several add-ons through the years. He pointed out problem areas and things that needed to be corrected far pass the isolated problem that needed immediate attention. I followed Eric through our home asking questions as he also would show me things of concern as he located them during his trouble shooting. He did not spend time talking about whoever did the work but shared with me the importance of quality craftsmanship and safety. I am overly impressed with Eric. And even though we could not afford to fix everything that day, he was willing to give us a road map to improving the our wiring situation in our complete house. He did fix our problem, we paid for services rendered. More over we are so grateful for this company and that it was our 1st call. Now we know we have some issues that we need to address that we had no idea of prior to Eric's visit to our home.

It went well. Examined the situation and found the outlet that was causing the problem. He gave a quote, finished the replacement in a timely manner. Great work. Thanks Joe.

First Eric (diagnosing, explaining) and then Joe (follow-up visit to do the large job) were great. Eric patiently reviewed our system to figure how what a prior electrician and the power company could not; he got to the bottom of the problem literally by 'hearing' a very tiny arc because he cupped his ear and listened to our electrical box (after reviewing plenty of circuitry). Nicely done. He then fixed the problem - a new circuit box - but explained that since the entire electrical box was old, the problem was likely to manifest again after a couple years, due to progressive arcing. He said we could limp along or pay to have the whole system updated. We opted for the latter and, the next day, scheduled a time for the update. The company in the meantime filed the necessary to-code paperwork with the city and communicated with Edison. Then Joe came out and was here about eight hours, installing the new box. (On both visits another employee-in-training was on the job; forgot his name, but he was friendly and did a good job). Before Joe left, he went over all our questions; an hour or so later, the customer service rep called to see if we had any questions. Great communication. Thorough explanations. No pushiness. And the work seems to be very well done. Throughout, too, the communication from the customer service rep - Sharri? - was also fantastic.

They returned my calls, were on time and did a great job.

It was one of the deals that provided an electrician for an amount of time. They had to be reminded to contact me but after that kept in touch until I needed them.

I did not follow through with scheduling a time to finish the job. I don't remember how much it cost or when in 2012 they serviced me. I have no way of knowing if the cost was reasonable as I didn't get any bids and the service was not a comparable one.

Installed a new panel, up graded the wattage and got the permit.

Good workmanship. Reliable firm, knowledgeable people. Very clean and careful to take care of your property. Big enough to have high quality, trained employees and insurance, small enough that you are important to them as a customer. This is the second job Accurate electrical has done for us. We are very happy with their work and their prices are fair.

The wire from the house to our garage was not to code. After repairing and replacing it, the circuit went out and this was due to nightmarish aluminum-to-copper connections, open junction boxes and burnt insulation in the attic. The 1949 panel was on its deathbed and so a new one was installed along with a grounding unit. A simple rewire turned out to be quite project. The entire team (Joe, Raymond and Eric) was kind, hardworking and professional. They work Saturdays and there is a 24 hour line so now I feel secure, electrically speaking, that if or when something comes up, I know I can count on Joe and Accurate Electric. When I asked Joe what his summer vacay plans were, he eargerly spoke about an electricians' conference in San Diego. I couldn't stop laughing at his serious and sincere response, totally amazed at his dedication to his craft and eagerness to keep current in his field. He is also a dad and a true family man so it was great to see that he does have a life, as well. In fact, in the midst of all the work, he had a family emergency, and then bounced right back into the project with all his professionalism intact. I can't thank him enough for all his hard work, and that of his associates. They clean up after themselves and somehow Raymond quietly used a jackhammer to drill down eight feet for each of the two grounding units. It is amazing how thoughtful they all are; not wanting to make a lot of noise of mess. I am so very pleased with their work. The project organizers are extremely efficient online, over the phone and after-hours, and they got right back to me, when other complications arose from a 1949 house.

The Electrician was punctual and very professional. He always wore booties around his work shoes so that he wouldn't get the floor dirty, and he was very kind to our two dogs. He was very personable, so we talked about his family and other topics outside of the realm of the job.

This was a difficult job involving crawling under the house and in the attic. The electrician did a good thorough job and we may use him again for future jobs., My only suggestion for improvement is to better display on the bill the 15% off that Angie's List customers are due.

They were on time and were very accommodating. Rebuilt main electrical panel replaced circuit breakers. They were very professional. Explained different procedures that they could use and when we decided on which one we wanted, Mike came out and did required services so we could have work done over the Memorial Day weekend so that we would not be in the dark. The job was completed within a reasonable time frame and we would use them again if we were to need electrical work again.

Accurate Electrical Services would not give me an estimate over the phone or even a ball park of what I was looking at for my job even though several other companies had bid the work based off my handymans description of what needed to be done. I booked them to come out anyways because they are the only people who could offer me a Saturday appt. I booked the appt. on a Thursday, received confirmation via e-mail Friday and a confirmation phone call Friday evening. Saturday morning I get a call they are not going to be able to make it after I had already been sitting in an empty house waiting for them. After I contested they figured something out and sent someone 3 hours after my appt window. The tech arrived had a look around, then percceded to quote me MORE THAN DOUBLE what any other company had quoted me (even though when I booked my appt they claimed to be "middle of the road" on price). When I told him it was outrageous he said there is nothing he can do about the price take it or leave it. I told him I'd leave it and to please leave. He then tried to charge me an estimate fee which I refused to pay. Overall NOT HAPPY very poor way to handle themselves and the fact that I wasted a beautiful Saturday afternoon waiting on them just to find out they are seriously overpriced.
