We called late on a Saturday as our elderly parent's water heater died. The first plumber we called went to the site and we thought he would replace the water heater that day. Called our parents to find out how it went only to find the plumber was coming back Monday as he upsold them one for $1350. I called him back and he said he could get a cheap one from Home Depot and install it on Sunday. I asked how much it would cost for the "cheap" one and he said it would cost the same as the " better" one. We told him we would call someone else instead. Called Armen and he was very nice and explained that the 30, 40 and 50 gallon water heaters cost the same at Home Depot which was nice to know. We asked him to replace the 30 gallon with a larger one. He showed up first thing Sunday morning and our parents were very pleased. He was very nice and did the job professionally. We appreciated that he came first thing in the morning and our parents were able to have hot water again.

It went perfect, everything was easy from setting up the appointment, to arriving on time and being professional. Armen the tech went above and beyond during his visit. He came and not only was able to get everything to fit without cutting the wall or having to cut the vanitie, but he went ahead and mounted it all together and secured it to the wall, which was not even in the scope of work, but was a huge help. Price was fair and no extras or add on's. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Armen was very responsive both by phone and text. he arrived on time to take a look at our old dishwasher and make sure that he would be able to do the job properly. he then gave us an estimate, and was able to work us in for an appointment later that week. however, when an opening came free the next day, he offered to come do the job then, which worked out perfectly for us. when he arrived he was very courteous, professional, knowledgeable, tidy and hard working. when we hit a few snags due to the unusual way the previous owners had set things up beneath the kitchen counters, Armen came up with several solutions on the spot. finally, he was very diligent to make sure the job was done correctly before leaving. we highly recommend him.

Armen is fantastic. I've used him for two jobs and both times he has done excellent work. He's flexible in the times he can meet and is always punctual. The quality of his work is terrific and he's a pleasure to work with. I couldn't be happier with his service.

He was easy to schedule with, showed up on time, completed work quicker than expected, fixed everything perfectly and when he left there was not one tiny trace that he had been there. . He came promptly and performed professionally. Diagnosed the problem to be a probable clog in the drain pipe. tried to snake it but it is a very old pipe and the snake couldn't get through. Suggested that a drain outlet would need to be installed to fix the problem permanently but suggested that before I undertake that expense I simply pour some drain cleaner down the pipe, let it work and see if it clears it up, since the pipe was draining the water, but that a small collection of garbage was messing it up. I had bought the $ 99.00 an hour coupon. He charged me only $50.00 and would honor the additional $50.00 if the drain cleaner didn't work and I brought him back or if I needed his service for some other problem in the future Also a very nice man to deal with on a personal level..

He showed up on time, was professional, clean and personable. He got the job done.

We have very hard water, in our area, and the original water heater was 15 years old. The water alarm, next to the water heater, went off. Checking it out, we found a small leak at the bottom of the old water heater. We called Armin, that evening, and he came out first thing the next morning. He, and his brother, spent a number of hours removing the old water heater, installing the new pan, connecting the pan to pipes leading outside (to avoid any potential future flooding inside the garage), replacing all hoses, readjusting all the pipes (as we changed from a 75 gallon tank to a smaller 50 gallon tank), hauling away the old water heater, testing to make sure everything was working properly, and cleaning everything up after they were done. We have found his prices to be lower than other plumbers we have used in the past, and his workmanship has been just as good, or better. We have a number of rentals and we call him right away if there is an issue.

Unique Plumbing & Rooter is always the same -- they come on time, they discuss the work before beginning, and always try to fix the problem with the smallest amount of cost to me.

We had used them before for something else so we knew the person who was going in to do the work.

The job was bid at $2,200.00, $650.00 below the nearest competitor. But then, a surprise issue emerged during a stress test. A legacy pipe joint that was set in a section of foundation concrete was leaking, which required quite a bit of jackhammer work and replacement within a very tight space. This added time to the job, and with a 3-man crew, I expected the cost to go up. However, Armen held to his original bid price. This job was my first time working with Armen. He and his team were consummate professionals, and after this experience he will be my first call for future plumbing work.

No problems, Beginning to end in a couple of hours.

First of all i loved how prompt they were on my email response. They were there exactly on time they promised to be there. This was huge for me. it's not like other companies whre they give you time window. They came on time very friendly and professional, took out the old one, replaced it with a new one. cleaned up after themselves and left. I would definitly recomand their services. I was very happy. We purchased the tankless heater online at a fabulous price and contracted Unique to remove our old heater and install the new one which required re-doing the copper piping to fit, install a bigger gas pipe, adding the pre-filter, fittings etc. They showed up on time and got the job done in a professional manner and even added a few extras to make service and maintenance easier in the future. They know what they are doing and recommended things to the install that we wouldn't have known to improve the service life of the heater (such as adding the pre-filter). In addition they dug the trench and piped out about 30ft of gas pipe (and electrical conduit) to a different location on the property.

I purchased the coupon for $99 for 1hr of labor work, replacement parts would be extra. I was skeptical at first, being my first time using Angies List. I must say, Unique Plumbing is just as Rated, A!! Fixed my leaky toilet tank. Replaced a low flow Flush Unit. I also had a leaky main shut off flush valve to the toilet. When turning the knob to cut off water to the toilet, it would leak. I live in a townhome & have 3 valves outside of my dwelling. All 3 where shut, but the water continued to flow. He recommended I should have that a replaced due to the age of my townhouse & pipes. Upon further inspection, he noticed that the others should be replaced as well to make sure that the MAIN water shut off to my dwelling would work properly. We went thru the costs ($450) that I replace 3 shut off valves to my townhouse (main shut off valve), my water heater & outdoor faucet in case of emergencies. He recommended that I contact other plumbers to inspect & give me a quote for the same job if I needed peace of mind. That quote, sealed the deal. I think I have found my PERMANENT plumber. Immediately responded to my email query through Angie's List, booked a free estimate for the next day, arrived early, were very respectful of our sleeping baby (and removed his shoes when coming into the house) fixed the problem in under 30 mins and honored the 15% discount coupon for Angie's List customers. Worked with me to get access to property through my real estate agent. DId exactly what he said he would and made sure gas was working properly after installation. Very responsive.

Everything turned out great. They were on time, they were neat, and I actually had them come back a few months later to install a water heater.

Fantastic! They were professional and really on it! They completed a challenging job of drilling under our driveway to replace a linking pipe. They did it without any damage or disruption to our stone driveway and they even saved the grass! They were easy to work with and also had the lowest bid. I would highly recommend using them!

He was nice, but I wasn't satisfied. When he cleared the sewer line, the water didn't drain on the bathtub.

The gas company showed up at my house early one morning to install a new digital meter. When I got home after work, I had a notice that I had a leaking earthquake shutoff gas valve and it needed a plumber to fix it. I of course turned to Angie's List to reviews and recommendations. I found Unique Rooter and Plumbing with their good reviews and great ratings and jotted down their number to call in the morning. What I didn't realize until the next morning was that the gas company had turned off and locked the gas valve until it was fixed. No hot water or heating! Emergency! So I called Unique Rooter and plumber and spoke to Armen. He was able to get there that morning - even though I had to work and not be there. I texted him my address and because I forgot to tell him I was an Angie's list member, I texted him that as well to make him aware of how I found him. Armen called me a few hours later and said the shut off valve needed replacing and he would also have to change to pipes in and out as the sizes were different. I asked the cost and he quoted me $550 and I once again reminded him I was an Angie's List member and asked if there were any saving or deals available to me. He said no. A hour later Armen called to inform me that the work was complete and I should call the Gas company to come take the lock off the line so I could once again have hot water and heat. He then asked for my credit card to charge me the $550, I asked again about any Angie's list deal or savings and he said no. We had a failure with the credit card, he invoiced me via email and I sent him a check that evening. I have no complaint about the service Armen provided. He was very polite, prompt, very communicative and did the repairs as asked and required by the gas company. I would recommend him BUT for one problem. He and his company did have an Angie's List Deal running for exactly the service I had performed. I found out the morning after I sent his check via an Angie's List deal email. It would have saved me $181 dollars. After receiving the email, I emailed Armen to ask him about it. It is really disappointing when a service provider is not honest with his customers. I joined Angie's List for exactly this reason - to protect myself from service providers ready to take advantage of people needing a repair in an emergency. I did not have time to look at the deals offered BUT I did ask him directly twice. Armen responded to me almost immediately offering me $75 to make things better. I responded that $181 would be the fair and honest refund I should receive. I have not heard from him since and I have not received any check, for any amount as a refund and I have waited a week. I Do NOT recommend Unique Rooter and Plumbing. The service was good, the repairs were prompt but he is not an honest business man.
