Unique Rooter & Plumbing

This was a prepaid 2 hours plumbing deal from Angies. Plumber showed up on time and showed some ingenunity in removing cartridges from four Dornbaracht faucets which enabled me to indentify and buy new cartridges to repair the faucets on my own. I had tried several times to do this job myself to no avail. When I informed him that the manufacturers cartridges cost more than $100 he said I could probably find one that would work for a lot less -- that turned out to be inaccurate, tried several replacements that looked right but didn't work, till finally told by plumbing expert at Home Dept that I would have to get proper one from Dornbracht. Uniqlue plumber also showed me why my stopper on one of the sinks was not working and recommended that almost any replacement stopper would work that unfortunatlely this also was not true and after buying a replacement assembly from Orchard Supply which didn't have the proper threads or linkage I had to buy an expensive one from Dornbracht. So...I appreciate that he was able to remove the cartridges but his advie about using aftermarket parts did not work out

Called at 10:30am and they said they could be there by 12:30 - which didn't work for me. So they offered to come at 6pm. The guys were right on time and friendly. I had called for them to fix a slow drain in the shower. They examined it for awhile and determined they was nothing wrong with the drain. They showed me, and they were right. Whatever the problem was, it was gone. They were very kind, didn't make me feel bad. I offered to pay something just for the visit. They refused - even after I insisted. I told them I would definitely use them again if there was another problem. They were honest and professional.

they were willing to come back quite a few times to make sure everything worked out. old houses are full of mysteries, and when things break it is not always obvious how to proceed. nice job.

This was the 2nd highly rated Angies list company that looked into the problem. The kitchen sink wasn't draining properly. The first company (who I won't mention) felt the need to replace the drainage pipes (for $800) The first company just looked under the house without really examining the problem. The Unique guys really did a very meticulous job assessing the problem and told me they could probably solve the issue by cleaning out the pipes and not replacing anything. They set up a snake to enter the pipes through the crawl space at the side of the house and successfully cleared blockage from the kitchen for $175. 2.5 months later it works perfectly.

After searching for a plumber to renovate my bathroom and having such a difficult time finding someone who could do the job, I cam upon Unique Plumbing and Rooter. What a find!!! They are courteous, always on time and exact with their work. They were able to do everything I needed for my master bath renovation and went beyond my expectations. AND they always cleaned up after themselves - even going as far as shaking out the welcome rug before leaving! They are now my plumbers to call. I would highly recommend them.

The service was fine. They were on time, helpful, and they had to cut the old pipe out of the wall and they did that without harming the wall. The work turned out just fine.

Armen arrived on time as planned and installed two facets and worked right thru .....the ones in bathroom had many parts and took more time than in the kitchen......I shall call him again at later date as I have more projects in mind......thanks for the recommendation, my old plumber retired and I've had some real lousy service since......think Armen will be a good replacement........time ran over the two hour special so an addition $65.00 charge which was fine...he did a good job and looks great.....thanks.....Marge Vasilieff

We are extremely pleased with Armen's service. He showed up on the agreed upon day and time (even a little early) and understood exactly what we needed. He was professional, took measures to keep the area clean and made helpful suggestions. Very nice guy too! We look forward to calling him again.

I was extremely pleased. He seemed very competent, honest, and professional. I was particularly impressed that he offered to take out the faucet I didn't like and waited for me to go buy another and then installed that one. He was neat and clean and respectful and he did great work.

We woke up in the morning and were dismayed to see a flood in the garage! Water was pouring out of the water heater. We immediately called Armen at Unique Plumbing. We originally found him through Angie's special deals, and we were very pleased with his services. He told us to turn off the water and said he would arrive within the hour to assess the situation. He arrived promptly and told us we needed a new water heater. We asked about purchasing a tankless water heater, and he pointed out the pitfalls. He could have made double the money on this job, but he was honest about comparing different types of water heaters. The job was done efficiently and the area was left in excellent condition. We will use this company again for any plumbing needs.

Armen did a great job of identifying the issue and fixing it after previous plumbers didn't. He gave us a good short term and long term solution and was honest with me about what it would take to install a dishwasher in our place. We'll definitely use him again.

Overall a great company that I felt confident gave us a reasonable price and curious professional job.

I called and they responded quickly. I was able to book a same day appointment and they were on time, polite, respectful, and friendly. The price was pretty good as well compare to other plummers I called. They cleaned up after themselves and did not damage anything.

The plumber was curteous, professional and took care of my requests promptly. He did a great job and I would use him again for future projects.

The problem was that there was no hot water coming from the bathroom faucet. I purchased a new faucet which was quickly installed.I had to run to the plumbing supply store to get the correct stems while they worked. After the installation was finished hot water was still not coming out of the faucet. The plumbers suggested that I repipe the house (the pipes are old corroded galvanized pipes) which was a too expensive option for me. Mike suggested that the water return line might be clogged, which turned out to be the problem. They replaced the line for $15 and hot water came out of the tap. I appreciated Mike's problem solving abilities. They also replaced the leaky water stems in the shower.

I bought the $99 for 2 hours of plumbing to replace the insides of the toilet & snake the drain. They came on time and did the job, but didn't completely do it correctly. I also had them look at another plumbing issue, but they had to reschedule and never called to do it. When I called them on fixing the toilet issue, they never called back with a date that they were available. I had my handyman fix it for me.

THE BROTHERS ARMEN AND MIKE ARRIVED BEFORE THE APPOINTED TIME , AND QUICKLY DETERMINED THE PROBLEM . THEN WITHIN A FEW MINUTES HAD THE PROBLEM - DRAIN FIXED ( AFTER NOT DRAINING WELL FOR SEVERAL YEARS) . THE BROTHER'S ALSO REPLACED ANCHOR -BOLTS ON A TOILET BOWL THAT HAD BEEN INCORRECTLY INSTALLED PREVIOUSLY, AND HAD FALLEN OFF. THEY PLACED ANCHOR-BOLTS ON A SECOND TOILET WHERE ANOTHER INSTALLER FAILED TO PLACE THEM ALL TOGETHER. THE BROTHER'S, ARMEN AND MIKE, WERE PUNCTUAL, PROFESSIONAL AND A PLEASURE TO HAVE THEM WORK IN MY HOME. I WILL CALL THEM FOR ANY PLUMBING PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE, AND WILL NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS .

The toilet was in bad shape, and Armen recommended replacing the whole thing. I did not have parts for ther other repairs. Armen offered to accompany me to Home Depot to select the necessary parts. We went together, and he helped me select everything I would need, then we scheduled another time for him to return to my home to do the work. The work was done quickly and professionally. The new toilet, sink and pool valve are ALL working GREAT! Very pleased with Armen (and his brother). I would definitely call on them again!

Overall everything went according to plan. I am a happy customer.

Good job replacing outdoor hose faucet but did not perform a lot of the items on the plumbing inspection list that were included in "The Big Deal" -- checking proper water pressure on all faucets, using toilet tank dye & testing for leaks on all toilets, checking drain speed at sinks, showers, tubs & toilets, etc. -- because they shut the water off right away when they arrived to replace the outdoor faucet and said they couldn't check those things in the house because the water was shut off! They were very prompt and professional but should have done the inspection before they shut the water off.

i bought a voucher through Angie list to check out this plumbing company. not a good choice. unique plumbing and rooter did the minimum amount of work job they could do and get away with it. basically they said they couldn't do things that I had to hire another plumber to do...like install the soap dispenser in the kitchen sink. they gave some lame excuse that i had to drill a hole in the sink to make it fit...NOT TRUE i had to hire an honest plumber and he did it with no problem and no drilling holes in sink.

Perhaps the most efficient, friendly and courteous plumber on Angie's List, or anywhere! I had a plumbing emergency on a Sunday afternoon on a holiday weekend. I called Mike and he arrived within the time frame he stated. He was friendly professional and gave First Class service! He had wonderful integrity and was a genuine and nice person! I was extremely happy with his service! If the occasion arises, I will most definitely call Mike again. Aside from the stress of the emergency, having Mike come to the resue was a great experience. I highly recommend Mike at Unique Plumbing & Rooter for honesty and fairness! This plumber is a real find! A+++ Thanks, Mike!!!

My shower faucets were leaking and I could not remove them because the screws were rusted. I also had a leaky toilet. I purchased the Big Deal which was $100 for 3 hours of pluming work. The workers were on time, actually they were early. They quickly removed and replaced the shower faucets. Then spent the rest of the time adjusting the toilet so that it fit with a better seal. All works perfect with NO leaks. Very happy with the work preformed.

They installed a new pump for a hot water recirculating system, a garbage disposal gasket, and a water intake valve for a toilet. They were prompt and professional. They did their best to go above and beyond to get the job done properly.
