Stopped in to look at carpet. Wasn't ready to order at that moment. The lady there was very nice. She gave me her card and told me to call when I was ready. When ready I tried to call during business hours. The call went into a cycle of ring-recorded ads - ring, etc. I dialed the lady's extension when prompted to do so but it made no difference. At one point somebody from another department finally picked up and I explained my situation. He promised to find me a live person to talk to, and then ring-recorded ads-ring as before. This is a typical Home Depot experience. They're just too big and powerful to bother with a piddly little customer. Whenever there is another reputable provider (of whatever it might be) I use the other provider. Home Depot is just there as the last resort.

I was looking to have the service down and was thinking about doing it myself. Home Depot had an interest free service for 12-24 months if I charged it to my credit card. They subcontract out the work. They called me and came out to take measurements and provided me with an estimate. They arrived on time and did what they were supposed to do. They did not recall that they were supposed to do the insulation in the back house, I reminded them and they went right into the back house to complete the service. They were very careful about covering my floors and cleaning up afterwards. Home Depot stands behind their work, I was very happy with the people who came out and the whole transaction.

I actually laughed at their pricing. The Home Depot charges you for everything. I got a way better price from Anderco. I got a way better price from them, it was going to cost twice at Home Depot. I laughed at them and walked out. Anderco gave me an estimate for 450.00 and that was an all inclusive. I think they are misleading with their pricing. I am use to buying all of my carpet in a square yard. They have all their pricing at a square foot, so it looks much cheaper, and I think that is very misleading. I think The Home Depot is very misleading.

They were excellent. They did their job. They were pleasant. They cleaned up after themselves. It was a painless experience. I would recommend them. I hadn't used them for carpeting before. They were very helpful inside of the store, in terms of ordering samples that they didn't have in stock. They were pretty helpful during every step of the process. A guy came out and measured. They called back immediately with the quote. It was very easy and user-friendly.

It took them a while to figure out which back door would actually fit. I had to get into the store a bunch of different times. They probably did the measuring but when they did bring me a door, it was a wrong one. They told me they will pick it up and I had to wait 2 or 3 times to find it just left outside. When they finally got the correct door, the whole process took them 2 months to install a door. I was so upset.

They sent me a written contract. Unfortunately when they installation occurred they discovered that they did not accurately measure for the flooring, however hey have been very good about correcting the issue and making sure that I was pleased with the job.

When we first went in to pick out our cabinets, and choose the configuration, we found that the service varied widely. Some days we could get immediate service while on other days it took almost a half hour to get somebody to help us. At best, the "designers" had an adequate grasp on how to layout and design kitchen layouts. After we purchased the cabinets a local contractor was sent over to install the cabinets and hang drywall. The cabinets went up fine and they looked good. The quality of work seemed good. The drywall on the other hand was a nightmare. I had to call back the contractors no less than 3 times (!!!) to fix the seams that were bulging out all over the place. I could have done a better job. Actually, in the end, I DID DO A BETTER JOB. They never fixed the problem areas to satisfaction. I had to fix the seams after they proved inept. I was extremely dissatisfied with this portion of the work.

Everyone we dealt with from the in store carpet dept, to the man who came to measure, to the installers were professional, polite and helpful to the best of their ability. The one thing that was a bit frustrating & could be improved is that there is a level of bureaucracy created due to the fact that H.D. contracts out all work to separate subcontractors, so the folks measuring are separate from the guy who orders & installs, who are all independent of H.D., so that it becomes quite a task to get answers to what you would think was a simple status inquiry. After 2 weeks of not getting a call for installation (though I got a call the next day), when I called H.D. to inquire, I was transferred to various phone extensions till they found someone who was willing to try to help me. And even then, there was a bit of a ''it's out of our hands & we can't really help you...you'll just have to wait till you get the call from the installers'' attitude. Though, still, they were very polite.

DURING INSTALLATION, PRIVATE CONTRACTOR STATES I PAID TOO MUCH. THEIR PUNCTUALITY, AND RESPONSIVENESS WAS LOUSY. NO SHOWS. NO RETURN OF PHONE CALLS. LATE. GONE FOR HOURS PICKING UP SUPPLIES THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD ON THEIR TRUCK.

HE WAS VERY GOOD. IT IS A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP TYPE COMPANY. HE DOES ALL OF THE WORK, THE INSTALLATION, CHOOSING, ETC. AND IT WAS A LOVELY EXPERIENCE. I FELT THAT THE PRICE WAS FINE. IT WAS VERY GOOD. THE QUALITY OF WORK WAS EXCELLENT.

THEY WERE PROMPT, AND THEY JUST DID A GOOD JOB. IT DID NOT TAKE THEM VERY LONG, AND THEY HAD A LOT OF GOOD CHOICES FOR GARBAGE DISPOSAL. THEY CALLED EXACTLY WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD.

THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE WAS A GOOD ONE. EVEN WITH THE IMPROVEMENT PROCESS BEING A HASSLE, THE HOME DEPOT MADE IT EASIER FOR US TO ACCOMPLISH THE TASK AT HAND.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH THE MEMBERS AND STAFF AT THE HOME DEPOT WAS EXCELLENT. THEY WERE KIND AND WILLING TO DO ANYTHING. THEY SCHEDULED THEIR WORK TIME WITH MY SCHEDULE TO MAKE IT MORE EFFICIENT FOR ME.

WE LOOKED INTO VARIOUS STORES AND EVEN THOUGH WE FOUND SOME WITH LOWER PRICES, WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH SELECTION OF ITEMS AT HOME DEPOT. WE PURCHASED WOOD FLOORS, PADDING AND EVERYTHING ELSE WE NEEDED TO DO THE INSTALLATION ON THIS JOB.

I BOUGHT A DOOR FROM HOME DEPOT AND THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL IN HELPING ME FIND THE RIGHT DOOR FOR MY HOUSE. THEY ALSO HELPED ME FIND THE RIGHT STAIN AND MATERIALS I WOULD NEED.

WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE, AND THE CEILING FAN LOOKS GREAT. THE CAME OUT WHEN THEY SAID, AND INSTALLED THE FAN WITH NO PROBLEMS. THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT.

THE SERVICE WAS SUFFICIENT AND TAKEN SERIOUSLY. THE HELP I NEEDED WAS PROVIDED.

THEY PERFORMED THEIR JOB AND THEY HAD REASONABLE PRICES. THEIR WORKERS WERE VERY COURTEOUS.
