The only thing that I would fault is that initial communication was difficult. The plumber who came to do the estimate and later supervised and did a lot of the work was for some reason reticent to let me know his name and company name when I contacted him a week or two after his visit. I am chalking it up to just some weird misunderstanding but for a time it made me think I needed to go elsewhere to get the work done. The original plan was just to do the work in the yard. However, additional work, though it's always annoying to find out more should be done, clearly needed to be done. They provided a clear explanation of the problem and why it is important. But there was no pressure (no pun intended) from them to actually do the work. In addition they pointed out a problem that DWP needs to address at the street valve. The trench digging was done practically but as sensitively as possible to what plants and trees there are in the yards. Backfilling was fine. The bibbs are just as requested. I am really pleased with the professionalism, timeliness, coordination with the electricians, friendliness, cooperation, and quality of the work. They got the work done on time, did a great job, and did it for the price estimated.
Description of Work: In coordination with electricians who were routing electrical through some of the same trench, they installed three hose bibbs in the various yards around the house. VKA did all of the trench work and coordinated it with the electricians (SDS Electric). The runs were quite long. I'd estimate in the backyard 70'. All done in copper. They also replaced the old main shutoff valve, added a pressure regulator, and replaced an 11' length of old galvanized with up-to-code copper.
