Description of Work: We had Ikea cabinets that needed to be put together. We have (2) the same cabinets already in our office. Typically it would have taken about 4 hours to complete the task based on previous experience. When our handyman arrived late, we were ready for him to get to work he however wanted to complain about previous bookings that he cancelled and refunded after showing up to a job and not wanting to or being able to install someone's tv. Questioning how someone who lived in a bad neighborhood could afford a tv so large anyway. By 1 pm in the afternoon when the task should have been nearing completion (1) cabinet wasn't ready. We are left with misaligned cabinet doors and drawers. Some drawers are not on the track at all. Doors do not close without lifting them into place thus the soft touch close feature also doesn't work correctly, they are also misaligned. Our staff finished the job by putting the glass tops into place, moving the cabinets into place and removing the protective film from the surface. The task took twice as long as it should have and it was not done to satisfaction. While our handyman was present we pointed out several issues with the cabinets including those mentioned along with the fact that some drawers and doors were installed in the incorrect place. As a result we are left with cabinets that don't serve their function well. We have since had to work on them ourselves so that doors and drawers will actually open and close. I cannot recommend this handyman's service. Now two-months after the "job" we have receive another invoice requesting an additional $250.00 for a job our staff completed due to improper installation. Once he was "finished" with the task he asked to use the phone to call his wife from my desk, and proceeded to discuss his "bad day" with her in my presence, that isn't a professional demeanor. I personally sent an email to our handyman and receive no response after the "service".

Description of Work: I had Stephen install two new showerheads, two rain barrels, and fix a gate. He always arrived on time (early morning worked best for me) and got to work. Overall I've been really happy, he's done good quality work.

Description of Work: Put new hardware on all the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen.

Description of Work: Replaced a standard door in bathroom with new bi-fold door on a track. Job ended up being done quickly and professionally. Jeremy and Steve were very friendly and knowledgeable. Only hitch was there was a scheduling conflict with my initial date and they had to back out and reschedule. Communication was a bit lacking, but otherwise a positive experience. Would use again.

Description of Work: Stephen Boykin and his crew did many repairs at my mother's home. The biggest job was replacing the springs on an old fashioned garage door. They were very hard working, and had to move many items around in order to clear a work space. Each visit had a two-man work crew. They added wood and a door sweep to a back door threshold that had never been properly finished. Their previous visit a week before included fixing screen mesh window over vents at the crawlspace, and cutting back an overgrown plant with a very thick trunk. They also sealed up gaps under the water heater door. I found Stephen and his crew friendly, knowledgable and reasonably priced, and I'm glad that they are so responsive and helpful. I was so glad to have them there to check a blocked bathroom sink. They were able to determine it wasn't a pipe blockage but a problem with the plugging mechanism. A few adjustments and it was clear again. It is great to have people that can handle so many different tasks, since some jobs like the sink end up being very small, and a plumber would have cost us much more on that occasion.

Description of Work: Mr. Boykin did a great job. He gave an exact estimate. He came on time and painted a room and removed an old door and installed a new door. The room was in bad shape. It had not been painted in over 20 years. When he was done it looked 100% better.

Description of Work: Repaired a front door hinge in a stucco frame. Repaired loose screens. Installed new outdoor lighting fixtures and stucco repair. Installed curtain rods.
