Honey Do Handyman

Description of Work: I had several small tasks: repair living room large-ish holes in the drywall, fix a bi-fold closet door, re-install batts of insulation in the garage. Steve, who owns the business, sent Eddie to do the work. Eddie was personable and efficient in completing the tasks. He didn't have the tools to repair the bi-fold door in his truck, and he had enough time in the 4-hour block I purchased to take it to his house to repair it. Work quality was good. | |It's difficult to determine value for the price. I feel that what I paid was fair, although I've seen other Angie's List handyman companies charge less; I don't know what the quality of work is for those other companies. | |Scheduling was a bit scattered. Steve was heavily booked and we had to deal with multiple forms of contact (Angie's List messaging, phone calls, texting) that got a bit confusing for him at times because of all the messages he was getting at the same time as mine. But it eventually worked out, and Eddie came promptly on the day scheduled. I would hire this company again.

Description of Work: Installed replacement doors and drawers on kitchen cabinets. Very courteous and professional. The only reason I don't give an A is that my wife noticed that the pulls didn't seem to be symmetrically alligned.

Description of Work: This is a 2 person operation. They fixed my curtain rod that was pulled out of the wall, fixed my wooden bed frame which had collapsed, worked on a broken closet door. It is very obvious that both of these guys know what they are doing and it is important to them that their jobs are done right. Yes I will use them again.

Description of Work: I used Honey Do handyman to fix some drywall in a bathroom I'm renovating. He came over to check out the job, then showed up right on time the next morning. He and a worker knocked it out and the job turned out well. I've since used him for painting.

Description of Work: Very nice person who tried very hard. I think she needs more training in cleaning methods. The housecleaner who came the first time (several months ago) did a much more thorough job.

Description of Work: I have used Stephen in the past for other jobs, and his work has ranged from OK to bad. But this time took the cake. I have a four unit apartment building Silver Lake. One of my tenants called to say the front gate, which is iron, wouldn't close. I called Stephen. When he was finished I spoke to him, he made a big deal of how clever he was and how hot it was outside, how hard the job was. I was about to pay him 250 dollars when a tenant emailed me pictures of the gate! He had proper it up with rocks, using the rocks as an anchor to push a metal stick against the fence to push it up! When I called Stephen on this he said, yah, well, it was alot harder thanI thought it was going to be. But he was still going to take 250 dollars!!!!!! In the past he has painted a bungalow for me, and an apartment, and a friend or co-worked of his repaired some bathroom marble and he did a great job. But after this, I would never EVER EVER recommend Stephen to do anything. Obviously he can be as dishonest as it gets.

Description of Work: Steven fixed and restored my damaged wood work where my new puppy chewed up through out the home. Steven sanded down the wood then placed putty then sanded again and painted the areas that was worked on. Steven also replaced a door knob and placed cabinet handles on a built in cabinet. Honey-Do Handyman was quick and professional and 100% knowledgeable of his profession. The work Steven did at my home made a huge difference on how my home looks now. I can honestly saw Steven did a fantastic job that I would highly recommend him to a friend or family member.

Description of Work: He answered initial call. He kept first appointment and was on time. He was very pleasant to speak with. He gave a rough estimate of the job needed. We made a future appointment for him to return, a week from that day. He did call on that day around that time apologizing saying he couldn't find the part that needed to be replaced, and still had some places to call. He said he would call back later that day but never did. I called back next day leaving a message, but he never called back. Apparently he couldn't find the curtain rod needed or offer a different way of fixing the problem or refer us to someone else. He gave up without a call back explaining he just couldn't do it. That's what bothered me. It would of been more professional if he had done that courtesy.

Description of Work: I purchased a four hour coupon. I gave him a long list of things to do and when I came back four hours later they were all done perfectly.
