 + 0 moreHaik and his 2 employees showed up at 9:00 am as planned, the crew was well mannered and courteous. They were in and out in four hours, having completed all the work that was planned for the previously agreed price, despite the fact that some problems were encountered due to old and brittle wiring. Haik worked out a solution at no extra cost for us. Trash was removed, the house was left clean and we couldn't be happier with the service provided by Electric Zone and the improvement in out kitchen lighting. We would definitely use them again and recommend this company
Description of Work: Fix sub standard work done by previous contractor for a bathroom renovation. Install 6 LED recessed light fixtures and dimmer in kitchen and laundry room.

During the first visit, he was helpful in explaining the workings of our new electrical system. Haik and his employee got to work promptly when they arrived. He provided the receptacles for the rooftop and the outdoor connections. The job was completed within 2 hours. Their work appeared neat.
Description of Work: Installed GFCI receptacle on rooftop next to the air conditioner and an outdoor outlet in the backyard.

 + 0 moreThe provider showed up 30 minutes late but as soon as he arrived he started his work promptly. He laid down proper tarps for debris. The work was completed within 5 hours, for 4 canned recessed lights. The provider did a great job providing me with all details, he also honored the angle's coupon deal even though the room didn't have an electric box, so he saved me a significant amount of money. I wasn't too happy that he had to create a second hole as the wire got caught from the roof to the necessary area, however he explained everything, and did the best to create the smallest hole possible. Even with the secondary hole that I have to patch, I was happy with the end result.

 + 0 moreBought the $89 big deal to have a lighting fixture and ceiling fan replaced. Haik did a good job, but his attitude and professionalism is less than desirable. He made it sound like he was doing me a favor to do this job and that these $89 jobs are below him. The entire time he was here, he was complaining about how busy he was and he didn't have the time to do these jobs. My jobs were simple, but his attitude was poor. I will not use him again. There are better electricians out there that can do these jobs with a much better attitude.

Haik was on time and was also quick to respond back when I purchased a big deal from Angie's List. He was very professional and was good about cleaning up after the work was over, he is someone I feel comfortable dealing with and will continue to use his services.
Description of Work: I had some old electrical outlets swaped out to child proof outlets around the house. I also had a rocker light switch installed.

 + -1 moreIt took them around a day or so to call me back, and they were able to accommodate my tight schedule. They arrived almost 20 minutes early, which I didn’t mind. It was a bit frustrating because he brought an extra person and he tried to charge me extra because of it. I bought some of the pieces that I needed and he supplied some parts. I complained about the additional cost for the extra person, so he took that off, but he still added $100 for the parts he supplied. One of the new plugs that he installed is not straight on the wall. I adjusted it and now it’s not secure to the wall.
Description of Work: I bought a deal for $100 for two hours of electrical labor. He installed a ceiling fan with an electrical box and installed an additional electrical box. He provided one electrical plug box, and another box for the fan.

 + -1 moreThey were great. There was a bit of a miscommunication, where I wasn't sure if we had actually scheduled a time, and then they were on my doorstep ready to do the work. It all worked out great, and Haik was very focused to make sure that everything I wanted done was done properly. Haik had his assistant cleaning up everything as they went, wanting to make sure that there weren't piles of dust from when they had to make cuts into the wall. It ended up taking about an hour and a half beyond the 2 hour angie's list deal that I had purchased, so it definitely cost a bit more than I expected, but was a reflection on how much I wanted them to do, not the speed of their work.

 + 0 moreI went to four stores looking for timers. The timers I already had in my house which had been ripped out and tossed were the most expensive! Yep, they were still selling them. After speaking to various salespeople I settled on a less expensive, but very user-friendly model. I purchased the new light fixture and called Haik. We set an appointment for 8 a.m. I had all the items waiting. By 9:15 Haik was still not here so I called him. He had completely forgotten and apologized . He said he would be right over. I had a very busy day and this was the second time I ended up waiting. When he arrived he performed the work very quickly. I showed him the new timers and pointed out that all the timeers are the same depth. I also explained the timers I had were very good. He denied that he had told me otherwise. I am sure Haik is a lovely man, but I wouldnt hire him to do work in my home again. This experience has also made me very skeptical about paying for services prior to receiving them. I
Description of Work: This was my first experience with one of the "Deals" where you pay up front for a service. I had several small projects and thought this might be a good way to get them done and perhaps find a new electrician. I needed a socket replaced on an outdoor light, an on and off switch on a lamp relaced, and the timers checked on two outdoor lights. I purchased this in March. I left several message before I finally heard back from Haik. I found his phone manner to be very abrupt. I told him what I needed and asked how soon I could schedule an appointment. He said he was booked until mid-June 17th. I was shocked. I commented that he was very fortunate to have so much business. He said he wasnt making a lot of money, but just busy because he did this coupon with Angie's List. He said all he could do was call me if he had time late at night or early on a Saturday morning. He did call me a twice, but it was around 8:30 at night, too late for us. Finally, June 17th arrived. Haik was very late for our appt. I did not find him professional or friendly. I took him to look at the outdoor light and he said it was less expensive to buy a new light fixture than to get a new socket and to put in the existing fixture. He looked at the timers and pulled them out saying they were too deep and that they make timers that are more slender, although he acknowledged these were very good timers. He put light switches in and suggested I buy new timers. He looked at the lamp and said he could pick up the small on/off switch. He said to call him when I had purchased the items and he was gone. He didn't spend much time, I asked a lot of questions, but he appeared to be in a rush.

He and his tech were professional, left everything very clean, took as much time as necessary to answer my questions. I have already hired him to do additional work since I was so impressed with his quality, professionalism, responsiveness and pleasant approach.
Description of Work: I tried and failed to install motion sensor switches. Haik and a tech came within one day, at the end of his other class to fix my problem because he knew it was in the kitchen. He had to order a part for me but changed three other switches while he was here. Two days later he returned with the necessary part and all is well.
