Brother's Painting

They handled all aspects, including taping, sanding and finishing and did a terrific job - respectful, timely, expedient and high quality work. Finished in two days, added costs and time for repairing an area of the wall that had been completely ripped out by a cabinet removed before purchase of the home. They were meticulous in making sure everything turned out the way we wanted.

The owner kept putting off making an apointment to do the work. He wanted to make an appointment to come out and look first before agreeing to schedule a day for the work. We went back and forth with phone calls and emails trying to get him to come out and do the job. Eventually I contacted Angie's List and had my money refunded. I do not know if he sold a bunch of coupons and was overwhelmed or if it was something else. He called a week after I got my refund and tried to schedule the appointment, but it was after I was refunded and almost a year after buying that coupon!

Excellent service from start to finish

It did not go well. No responsiveness in any way. Lack of interest and inability to get it in the suppliers schedule. He was lackadaisical and uninterested in doing or beginning the work.

I purchased the whole home exterior painting coupon for $899, and when owner, Raffi, came by to see the house I also asked for an estimate on priming and painting our 80x 5ft newly stuccoed wall, which came to an additional $700. Raffi showed up on the scheduled day with 2 helpers and all the paint. They taped off all the windows, the brick path, utility boxes, etc. They also pulled off they ivy I couldn't reach, removed any plants/rocks around the foundation, and removed the old downspouts. They managed to paint the entire 1160 sq/ft u-shaped house, and prime and paint the 80ft x 5ft wall in a single day. The work looks great, it's totally even despite the fact that the stucco had been patched in many different places with differing skill levels, and it was 3 or 4 different colors to start with. Their clean up was excellent- there is no paint on my windows, old brick, roof tiles, or anywhere else it shouldn't be. And they took all the empty cans away. I was left with maybe a gallon or so of leftover paint for touchups, so they calculated the amount of paint I needed accurately. I love the way my house looks, and if I have to paint it again I will call Brother's Painters

We purchased the Brothers Painting Big Deal for exterior painting our house in April and called Raffi to ask some questions and also schedule a time for him to come look at our home. Based on details of the deal, we knew that there would be additional work not included in the deal price and wanted to get an estimate for the extra costs. It took Raffi a few weeks before he came over so we could go over everything with him. Then it took longer than he said, and following up more than once by me, to receive his email estimate of the additional cost. By now it was early June and he said he was booked with work for 1-2 months and would contact us when he could schedule our job. Since we were not in a hurry at the time, and thought this was a positive indication that he does good work, we said okay. By mid-August since we did not hear from Raffi yet (what customer service?!), we got a couple of other estimates. The other companies were higher, probably partly due to the deal we had purchased with Brothers Painting. We thought we?d give Raffi a second chance, so I called to remind him about our job and get the work started right away? after all, since it was now early September, it had been over 3 months we had waited! His response was that they are really busy right now and could not start in the next few weeks - I pushed for them to at least start the work in Sept since we?d waited so long. He said it would be about the third week of October before starting our job? are you kidding me?! Add on another month even though it?s already been several months since we purchased the deal and contacted you??? How are we supposed to believe that he would even do what he says at this point with the TERRIBLE customer service and follow through so far? No thanks! We prefer to do business with people who have integrity. I see that Brothers Painting/Raffi is continually offering the same Big Deal. I guess that?s how they have to get clients and why they are sooo busy. Well, good luck to any of you if you get ?the deal.? We didn?t realize that we purchased the ?screw you deal.?

Painting was done well, professional. People were knowledgable.

Brother's Painting people (3 of them) spent two entire days to complete the task. In overall, they did a good job of painting. However, I noticed that they washed the paints and/or paint brush(es) in the bathroom tub and also left the bath/shower door with the paint mark. I also noticed that the paints were splashed on the kitchen sliding doors and screen door. Some part of the kitchen floor was left with the paint spots.

The experience was very smooth. They helped my with paint colors and suggestions. When the actual time, the painters showed up on time, covered everything, and worked quickly. I was very impressed from start to finish with the quality of the work and plan on using them again to paint the rest of the rooms in the house.

After giving a very good estimate, I hired Raffi to paint my interior including 11 doors that needed priming and painting. The entire experience has been exceptional from the start. He has been punctual every time. Raffi, Mike and Pedrosis are just fine, fine gentlemen. They paint with dedication and talent. You can tell by the way they work that they love their job and take great pride in it. Any obstacles that they encountered were handled without question, effectively and handily. I would recommend Brothers Painting to ANYONE who wants a professional, excellent painting job completed by conscientious, talented painters. They are an absolute asset to Angie's List....Thank you so very much.

sI felt Raffi and his crew did a tremendous job painting- especially considering the quote I felt like Brothers Painting provided great value! Raffi was always prompt- he gave me a thorough estimate and he told me exactly what kinds of paint to buy in the correct quantities. We were very satisfied with the job he did. He never cut corners - he loosened the plates of light fixtures/light switches/electrical outlets to the paint job was even and thorough. While working on this unit he was always prompt and made sure to clean everything before he left. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

It went great. Raffi met me at the house about a week before the job started to gave me an estimate. I thought it was a little high, but I had used them before and liked their work, so I agreed. He said he could start the following Thursday and the job would take about a week. Because I had absolutely no idea how much paint I would need, he patiently went through each room, telling me how much paint I would need, the type of paint I would need, and even suggested a color for the ceilings. He even offered to pick up the paint from Dunn-Edwards. I finally figured out what I wanted, called the Dunn-Edwards that he said was near his house, ordered the paint, and told them Raffi would pick it up the next day. After that it was all easy. The condo is empty and on the day before the job started I left a deposit and a key to the condo under the mat on my front porch. Raffi picked it up and went to work. He called only once because he really felt the paint I had picked out for the kitchen would not look good. He suggested use the same color I was using for the rest of the house, and that he paint that ceiling white and I went along with his suggestion. Although the job was finished by Thursday last week, I only got a chance to look at it yesterday. It looks absolutely amazing. The color is perfect. The ceilings are perfect. The work is perfect. highly recommend this company.

Raffi and his Armenian brothers turned up exactly on time, and were kind enough to bring us some pastries from their homeland. They worked efficiently and cleanly, leaving us with a beautifully painted house.

I called because I saw a special where they were painting three rooms for $900.00. It seemed a good deal so I called. The man who answered was very helpful and nice. My office was four rooms and larger than the deal called for, but he would come over and take a look, giving me an estimate. He did as he promised. The estimate was fair and we agreed he and his crew would paint on the following Friday or Saturday. I let them into the office in the morning. They were actually early. By the end of the day they had completed the job. Everything looked fabulous and I was very pleased.

I called Raffi 3 days ago to schedule him to come out and give an estimate for repainting the inside of my home. We agreed on a weekday between 4:30-5 pm. When it was 5:10 pm and he still didn't show, I called to ask if he was on his way. He answered the phone and I told him who I was and asked if he was on his way here. He said, "oh yeah, I'm supposed to come today." He then said he was stuck in traffic and just left another location, and would not be able to make it today and asked if he could give me a quote in a few days. He did not apologize for wasting my time or for not showing up. I told him not to bother. He seemed completely unaffected that he and just dropped the ball completely. If you are looking for a reliable, punctual painter, this is not the place to look.

Everything went great. They were very professional and offered logical suggestions that my husband and I agreed to. They cleaned up the area each day and we were pleased.

I am pleased to report that Raffi is the real thing:an honest, hard-working, extremely professional painter who takes pride in his work and executes without compromise. What a breath of fresh air to work with someone who you can trust to put your interests first. Even though this was not a large job (two days to execute) he spent considerable time providing us with a fair estimate (which he stuck to faithfully) and giving us his opinion on color choices, finishes, etc. which were very valuable in helping us through the process. My mom is elderly and she sweated every detail but Raffi handled her concerns with grace and patience. He provided us a date to do the job (three weeks in advance) and called us over the course of the three weeks just to check in and update us on any possible changes in his schedule. He showed up on the day on time with another painter and personally oversaw every detail of the job. The end result was more than we could ask for. Thank you Raffi, we will see you again later in the year to do the rest of the condo!

Brothers had advertised a 'Big Deal" for whole house painting at $899. I only needed a partial front of y house painted due to some sun weathering and peeling. Raffi was very prompt in calling me back and making a appointment to come and estimate. I was surprised that the price quoted was higher than expected. $800 to do just the partial front, but since I needed it done I went ahead and agreed. Understand that I also provided the bulk of the paint so that was not included in the price, except he provided the white trim. The work was completed within the week,and they did do a very good clean job. I think I would use themagain,

I spoke with the representive and decided to go with a different company for the painting.

Raffi and his crew arrived promptly at 8:00 as promised. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. Far exceeded my expectations could not have chosen a better painting company !

He was a very kind man. He was knowledgable. He got me an estimate because of the terms of the deal. He said he could not come back until June or July to do the work. It was a very positive meeting. I thought I was getting everything included in the Big Deal. I didn't know there were any extra costs. He was thorough, on time and very nice. The overall grade was based off of the meeting.

We were only doing two bedrooms and a bathroom and measured it out to be 350sqft, perfect! We order and wait for Raffi to call. He calls after 9pm, and arranges to look at our space the next day at noon. The next day we wait and wait, at 12:30 he calls and says he is running late and shows up at 1:30pm. The next morning Raffi and his brother show up to paint promptly at 8am - that punctuality was greatly appreciated. First, they do no adequately protect the carpeting and the space they are painting. Halfway through the job, Raffi approaches my husband and I and says "I just wanted to tell you that you are wrong. It is more than 350sqft. It is closer to 700." We were confused and he further explains that you take the square footage and multiply it by two, because as he said "I am not painting your floors, I am painting your walls!" Understood, however every estimate we had received prior was based on square footage as you would normally measure in your house. So with his form of measurement, that means he normally charges $1,100 for 250sqft of house space? That's absolutely unheard of! So of course, we felt like the deal was misleading and he was being rude. Once they left we looked over the rooms they had painted. In the first room, it is clear there was only one coat of paint used as we see white areas throughout. We found spots of the bright blue paint on the carpet and drops of the same blue paint on our new white wood blinds. In the second bedroom the windows are coated in tiny spray drops of paint which I will have to individually scratch off. And in the bathroom, there were paint drops on the countertops and mirror. As well as the fact that they had been using our master bathroom all day and left the toilet seat up. In addition there is a blue ring around the drain of our sinks because they were washing their brushes out in the bathroom sink! We took out the plug and it's coated in the paint. The work ethic was simply sloppy. The paint job was, good enough. Between the attitude Raffi gave us, the misleading ad, and the mess they left behind for me to clean, we were left with a generally bad taste in our mouth.

I didn't use the coupon immediately and he was very patient with me while I was picking out the color. He came out and looked at the house and gave suggestions on what kind of materials I might need. He was on time and gave a good estimate on the amount of time it would take to do the work. He did a very clean job and you could tell that he really knew what he was doing. There was no overspraying or spills of any kind. I was very impressed with him and he exceeded my expectations. I would definitely hire him again.

I liked that after purchasing the 'big deal' Raffi phoned immediately to set up an appointment to see the room. Prior to scheduling the day for painting, Raffi came to the house and discussed what prep needed to be done - some by us and some by him. On paint day, Raffi and his brother, Mike, arrived on time and were very professional. The paint was done well. Raffi used a paint brush to do the wall/ceiling line and it was well executed. Raffi and Mike were communicative, friendly and pleasant to have around. They cleaned up very well afterwards and the overall experience was very good.

This is my second time using Raffi, so this is going to be a shorter review. Basically, he's great. I highly recommend anyone looking for a painter to use him. We just did to repaint a room that he had previously painted -- after we ended up not liking the color we had chosen (always get sample paints!). Obviously, that was not his fault, but ours. He had done a terrific job last time and he did this time as well. I am amazed at how fast he can paint rooms, perfectly cutting the edges of windows etc. He doesn't spill a drop and cleans up everything when he is done. Bottom line: great painter!
