Brother's Painting

Raffi arrived promptly for estimate appointment. Very clear, price was reasonable. Arrived promptly for work. Raffi and his brother were very amiable and cooperative. Cleaned and maintained the work area very satisfactorily. Performed an unforeseen extra task without extra charge.

Raffi is very good to work with; he promised that the work would be done in 3 days; the work was done within a day and a half. He was very clean, neat, and a good painter. I’d recommend him.

We found them through Angie’s List and they were running a special and that’s why we picked them. They were fast, were very, very good and were reasonably priced. They had a special which was 500sq.ft of painting for $450 and we had them do more than that. It was great and they did a good job. There were a few things that they didn’t finish. When I told them that I wanted my woodwork done, I don’t know whether they didn’t understand me or they didn’t hear me or whatever, and they did a little bit of my woodwork. When I asked about the rest of the woodwork, they said that they didn’t have that in the contract, but as per my knowledge, they did. Then they said that, for another $100 they’ll do as much woodwork as we have paint here for. It turned out that they did not have enough paint to paint my back door or any of the woodwork upstairs. Still, for $1250 I was very happy with what they did do and eventually I will have something else to paint at which I will have them do my woodwork. I am not complaining about that but honestly I don’t know why it was misunderstood or unheard. For what they did and the price that I paid, I had estimates of up to $4000 to do the inside of the house; so the amount that they didn’t do is probably going to cost me maybe $100. If they had more paint or if he would have gone and got more paint I would have paid them the extra $100 and have them paint the rest of the house. In total, it was $1250 plus the paint, but it was such a good price. They did just a beautiful job. I am not good with painters and I hate painters. I’ve always had such arrogant painters who’ve had to redo things and I’d have to finally kick them out. I love Brothers Painting and I’m never going to use anybody else. I always used to think that they are honest and what they tell you is what you get. I’ve had other painters that promise you things that are never going to happen. They are very straightforward and honest. If they say they’re going to do the job in 2 days, they would. By the time they were done with the first day, I looked at it and said that they wouldn’t be able to finish it all the next day. The first day only one guy came and he said he was bringing help in for the next day. He brought another guy the next day and I couldn’t believe it, but before 5 o’clock at night they were all finished. Their prices were excellent and they worked twice as much as we paid.

He returned all calls, arrived as promised. Did great job.

Rafii came out to my home to give an estimate for the work. He is very kind, efficient, and punctual. He had great communication. He called when he said he would call and he kept his word. Overall, he was just a pleasant person. We didn't use him for this big deal afterall because compared to other deals on Angie's List, he wasn't affordable, but I would definitely use him again in the future for other services because he was so nice.

Raffi responded immediately to my online request, and he followed up when I didn't call him back. He came on time to look at the work, and gave a reasonbale estimate. I had several bids, and ended up choosing another company.

$899 for exterior home painting was applied to the stucco only. It cost me additional $1,000 to paint the exterior woods totaling $1,899. I was out of town; so I was unable to observe and watch him doing work. Raffi spent two days to finish the exterior home painting. My wife was happy (very important that she is happy) with Raffi's work. He did an excellent job and we are satisfied with his painting job. He did not leave any mess after the painting. A good job, Raffi.

His price was almost twice as much as the other estimate I got. I will not be going with him to complete my work.

I was truly Blessed by GOD, to find Raffi Chobanian and his Workman. They were Courteous and Professional. They showed up when the Job was scheduled and finished in record time. They cleaned up the loose paint chips, etc. even in my plants. The price was fair and reasonable. I can't say enough GOOD about how pleased I am with Raffi Chobanian and his Workman ----They are just GOOD People -- and they love their work. Sincerely, Ralph S. White

Just great. I was dreading having my life, house, and yards invaded by painters, but now that they are done and gone, I realize how much fun it was to have them here. They were never intrusive, but if I came out to ask about something, I got quick, thoughtful responses. They are outstanding professionals as well as warm-hearted and good, good men. My husband and I give them our highest recommendations. The paint luminesces.

I had used Raffi to do my very large living, dining, entry and hallway. He did a great job so I used him again. He started the patching very meticulously and took down all the can lights, removed all ecletrical plates. After an entire day of patching, he started the painting. We had consulted on the color and texture of the paint, (shine, matt, he's an expert on this) so he painted the ceiling, all walls in the kitchen, my shutters, baseboard and trim. He painted the crown molding and filled in all nail marks and gaps. He has an amazing eye for detail and can spot the smallest things from across a room. The outside came a week later and we had agreed on the entire breezeway because there were multiple colors of paint. He did a wonderful job and where I had rotten wood, referred me to a carpenter contractor who replaced the wood and core sturdily and attractively. He painted this new wood, also. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

Raffi is obviously busy and the start date was a little extended, but the final job was well done.

I spoke with Raffi by phone and set up a time for him to provide an estimate to paint interior of home after hardwood floors had been refinished. Raffi arrived on time, but things did not go as well as I had hoped - based on other reviewers from Angie's list. First, Raffi argued with me that he did not need to fully cover and protect the newly refinished hardwood floors with red rosin paper (as my hardwood floor guy strongly suggested) because he would only be working on the walls and, therefore, only needed to cover the region a few feet from the walls with a drop cloth. Secondly, Raffi attempted to inform me that interior bedroom walls were different from "cabinets' (i.e., shared walls with closet and built-in dresser) and while the walls could be painted, the "cabinet" walls did not need to be painted... Mostly I became frustrated and aggravated with Raffi and chose to go with a company that was more pleasant to work with, attentive to details, and cared about keeping the newly refinished hardwood floors protected from paint and potential damage.

they did a quality job; and fast; used quality paint as I asked; very good about bringing back receipts. very attentive to detail. only problem was that it took a long time to get them here to begin the job but once they did they were fast...

I would recommend him and would use him again on future projects. They we fast neat and professional.

I had to wait for around two weeks for someone to come out where all other companies I called came out within a day or two. The person who came over did not use any form which has all the different items of things that they do. He just came and inspected the property and made a few notes in his pad and called me a couple of days later with the quote. He could have discussed a little more in detail when he came over.

Raffi has painted for me before in a different house. I hired him again immediately. He gave me an estimate within two days of calling, and completed the job (living room, master bedroom, 2 children's bedrooms, an office and the kitchen) in two days. His work is impeccable, he is professional and friendly, and I trust him completely in my home, even when I was out of town and he was working on site. I would call him ANY time I need painting - no need to call anyone else!

They did a pretty good job. They gave me an estimate and rescheduled the appointment to do the job. They were here for three days and completed the work with no complaints.

They were nice, did a really good job. They were very careful and thorough. They came back to fix anything that needed fixed. They were great. They were punctual and clean. I will use them again in the future.

He gave me a bid over the phone. I wasn't too impressed with that. He was personable when I talked to him but I would rather have had something on paper. The thing that turned me off was they did not give me a written estimate and I figured that wouldn't want to do business with them. They were someone who I did not know what they were going to do. They just looked about the house and we talked. He asked me if I wanted any plastering done. I think his bid was a little high too.

We found "Raffi" to be punctual, polite and very professional. Two years ago he painted a bedroom for us. This year we contacted him for a much bigger project. This involved removal of kitchen wallpaper, repairing prior damage done during the installation of new windows, and then re-hanging wallpaper, painting the ceiling and woodwork. All was done professionally and much to our satisfaction. Raffi works quietly and with a desire to please. He is a perfectionist. A+

They had excellent references, but their price was steep so I painted the rooms myself.

The painters even went so far as to correct some of the messes I had made from my attempts at painting. They paid attention to detail and were very thorough. If I could put a billboard up for these guys, I would. They are the BEST! They moved the furniture and put it all back in place and cleaned up so well it was hard to tell they were even here. I could go on and on but the bottom line is, they are very good, have good advice and listen well.
