After ten days without a tv that worked, I was told today (after being on hold for 8 minutes!) that a replacement part, supposedly ordered one week ago, has been discontinued.
Description of Work: Ten days ago, my tv set stopped working. The repairman, Art, told me a week ago that he would order a replacement part.

No amount of expletives would be enough to describe our experience with this company. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!! These so called appliance repair company don't come and repair anything. They have brought endless amounts of stress and cheat their customers of any kind of service whatsoever. They sent a technician to "fix" our stove which is under warranty. A brand new $7000 stove mind you that we got at a slight discount for taking the floor model. I'm taking time out of my precious to write this review as I am a new mother with a newborn and these crooks came and F'ed up our stove even more so than before and refuse to come back and fix it unless we call and get another work order from the company. This by the way, was their response ONLY after calling them endlessly for over a month with no one returning any phone calls or doing anything about it because they claimed that when they called their technician he says he "fixed it". My fault for not checking his work before he left as I was feeding my newborn child. Upon cooking dinner that night I now noticed that ALL FIVE of my burners are now completely uneven in the flames. These people will make your life a living **** and won't even bat an eyelash at not apologizing for their crappy work. If you can call it that. Seriously, READ THESE REVIEWS AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS "BUSINESS"
Description of Work: Supposedly replaced gas valve and stove burner to make it burn evenly. MADE ALL BURNERS WAAAAY WORSE!!!

I was assigned AAR from 1st American Home Warranty (FAHW). This was our first time using both 1st American and AAR, and it is a nightmare. You basically pay $60 for the tech to come and fix the problem. It took AAR a week to find a time to just diagnose the problem. Then they lied when ordering the part - they said it would take 2 weeks. When I called to check the progress, the first time they said it would arrive in another week. The 2nd time I called, they had me on hold for 20+ minutes. I called back and they hung up on me. I used the "claims specialist" from 1st American who got things moving. AAR came and replaced the control panel on the dishwasher. It worked okay for 1 week, then stopped working. I re-opened the claim with 1st American, they contacted AAR, but once again, they couldn't come out to repair for another 2 weeks. Then, the night before, AAR cancelled the appt. I asked to speak to a suprvisor, and amazingly no one was around. I was told one would call me back, and of course they never did. Unfortunately, we don't think to check reviews of companies when they are assigned from a purchased home appliance company because we have a certain level of trust. Just the fact that 1st American is still using these waste-of-lifes at AAR (some of these reviews are form 2012) tells me that they are scamming people too. DON'T USE AAR OR FAHW (1ST AMERICAN)!!!! They will waste your time and money, and will not fix your appliance.
Description of Work: They were assigned to us to fix our dishwasher. It took a week before they had the time to get here just to diagnose the problem. They ordered a part and claimed it took a month to arrive. They initially "fixed" the appliance, but it broke again in a week. You are put on hold for up to 20 minutes before you speak to someone who is totally clueless.

Tech showed up changed the driver belt in the machine said that would do it. When I went to do laundry I realized the tub would not rotate but it would spin in the drain cycle. Called the company back, they've had several last minute excuses as to why they can't come to fix appliance. I will be filing another report concerning American Home Shield.
Description of Work: Contracted through American Home Shield, came out to fix washing machine. Went to do laundry a few days later and realized washer was not fixed. They were supposed to return several times but call at the last minute with an excuse as to why they can't come out.

Terrible! They are serviced under our home warranty so we had to use them. A technician came out, looked at our dishwasher, spent 5 minutes just tightening a screw and left saying to call back if it didn't work. I called back a week later since it didn't work and they told me they ordered a part and were waiting for it to come back to fix the dishwasher. Over a month later, and after several phone calls later during the month, they still haven't fixed it and now they are saying that they have in their records that they fixed it! What type of business are they running?!

Technician (George) came out to fix my dishwasher, pulled it out from under the counter and scratched my hardwood floors. Then he denied it was him who caused the scratches. Of course the floor was absolutely fine before he pulled out the dishwasher. No accountability!!
Description of Work: Evaluated dishwasher to determine why it wouldn't cycle through properly.

This was a bad experience from beginning to end. The time from the first visit to the last was 7 weeks. Each repair visit led to ordering more parts. After the motor was replaced, the agitator didn't fit. When the agitator arrived the agitator cap didn't fit. The parts that were used to repair my washer are different than the original parts. The warranty company told me that original parts were available and should have been used. I should add that the office/dispatch people who I spoke with were polite and professional.
Description of Work: The service performed was a warranty repair of a 4 year old Frigidaire washer. The problem was that the washer "knocked" on spin cycle.

The service technician missed the first appointment window; he showed up late and then told me he was here on time(he was not). When he came back the second time, he ordered the parts and did the servicing on the unit. However, within 4 months, one of the repairs was happening again. He told me that he would replace the part for free but charge me for more labor-it was a simple thing that should not have happened twice. When I called to complain, they were rude and did not offer any other options or tips on how I could handle the repair.
Description of Work: AAR repaired my freezer and serviced the entire refrigerator/freezer unit.

I contacted the manufacturer's website to get a referral for a repair service. As my oven is 9 years old, it is out of warranty and I was looking for a fast service and a good price. I contacted two of the referrals from the manufacturer and AAR offered the fastest response (within 1 day of my call), and $65.00 service call (to be applied to whatever repair services I requested). The company quoted me a time of the repair window (between 9AM and 12PM) on the day of the service. The office called that day and told me that the service tech was running late and would be there toward the end of the day and would that be okay. I had taken the day off, and it was. Arman, the repair tech did call me to verify the address (which he received incorrectly from the office) and arrived toward the end of the day. He immediately diagnosed the problem with the oven (needing a replacement magnetron). He offered to order the part (1-2 days to get it), and to remove the installed oven and take it to his shop in order to repair the oven. He quoted me a price of $125 for the part and $135.00 for the labor. Although he wanted a deposit of $100.00, I suggested that since he was taking my Microwave Oven to his shop, that was my "deposit". Arman took my oven on Tuesday and returned on Saturday (4 days later) to reinstall the repaired oven. He arrived on time, installed the oven, tested it, and all went well. I paid them with my credit card.
