Our yard was fully landscaped within the time limit set in the contract. Our yard overall looks attractive. Corrections or requests we made during the installation were honored. The work was completed in February, 2007. When we calculated that they used less bluestone than the contract specified, Leo gave us a deduction based on the bluestone actually used. They gave a one year guarantee on their work. When issues were brought up, most were corrected. One major problem was never resolved to our satisfaction. Shortly after the stamped concrete back patio was laid, we noticed one area of the patio had white dots that looked like bleach or something had splattered on the concrete. When we pointed this out, we had two or three visits from the landscaper and from someone from the subcontracting company that poured the concrete. The latter person used various cleaning solutions and solvents but couldn t correct the problem. He said he had to talk to Leo about it, and we didn t hear anything more. Meanwhile, as the summer wore on, the blue tint was wearing off in large patches around the porch, so the color was blotchy and uneven in addition to the bleached out spots. There was no follow up from the contractor, so we contacted him at intervals reminding him of this problem. By the end of September 2007, Leo said someone who specialized in coloring concrete would be contacting us. This person met with us initially and said he d bring us some samples, then we didn t hear from him for several months. It was very difficult to contact him and arrange a meeting, but the color specialist finally showed up in February 2008, but he was only able to paint our patio shades of brown. He wouldn't do any other colors. It didn t go with our color scheme at all, but he assured us it would look nice. So we let him do the work, which was finally completed in early March, 2008. Now the brown paint is wearing off in places and we can see the original blue concrete coming through, so our porch looks worse than ever. We have contacted Leo several times by voice mail and email to tell him the concrete coloring didn't last, but he has not responded. The fact that the concrete wasn't painted until the end of the warranty period means that when the solution turned out to be short term and inadequate, the landscaper no longer accepted responsibility. So now we are stuck with a $5000 patio that looks terrible.
