Silver Star Moving & Storage

One of the easiest & friendly moves I have ever experienced. They were right on time, friendly movers, and the customer service folks were great and accommodating to my many questions & changes. Moving is stressful but Silver Star was great.

I’ve never regretted anything more in my life, than hiring Silver Star Movers. Valued consumers, DO NOT hire this company unless you want to welcome criminals in to your home who will steal your priceless items and then have management try to bully you out of your 1st amendment right to leave an honest and transparent review on social media. The movers that came in to my home on 2/28/22 opened my personal property and stole MY ENGAGEMENT RING which was safely and securely put away. Of all things to have taken from you, something so irreplaceable. I saw as the foreman on the job opened the drawer where the ring was stored to “assess” what needed to be moved and exposing the contents of my private property to another mover. Before I knew it, the ring was gone. Nothing else “fell out” or shifted in any way as jewelry was secure in the jewelry box. It is apparent to me and to the Sheriff who took my police report that that ring was taken, I have no doubt in my mind. I have tried to resolve this with management only to have their owner Svetoslav Stoyanov be a complete a******. He tried to offer me only $500 for a ring that cost thousands. If his movers didn’t take the ring why offer me anything at all? It’s an admission of guilt and they refuse to make this right. Their office manager, Amy Sutherland, also assured me verbally that they would make me whole by filing a claim with their insurance and charging the employee legally, she also insinuated she knew exactly who took it, it seems this person is a repeat offender. Svetoslav also admitted on a recorded line that some employees “have criminal records in their pasts but no active cases” in summary - they’re criminals. I have opened a case with the Bureau of Household Goods and Services as well as the Better Business Bureau and am actively pursuing this case in small claims court. Unless you want a hassle like this DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Scroll down, they have stolen designer bags and sexually harassed female customers in previous reviews, I wish I had seen this sooner. On the BBB website it’s been reported that they stole from a 75 year old woman and Svetoslav proceeded to bully her as well, an elderly woman. This entire company and their employees have no morals and no integrity. I felt it was my duty as a consumer to share this publicly in hopes I may spare someone else from the emotional distress having my engagement ring taken from me has caused me.

About a month ago, I was in a panic to move. Fast. Through Angie’s list, I found Silver Star Movers: $100 for the first three hours; two guys and a truck. Cool. Jay called a 45 minutes in advance of his scheduled arrival time, introduced himself, and said he would be arriving in the middle of the two-hour window. “Is that about right for you?” he asked. If I needed more time to pack or less time because I needed out, he was flexible. His offering flexibility sounded like an act of kindness, civility, something I needed. Jay and Legacy arrived. I spent the last 30 years of my professional life as a professor, teaching composition at the University of California and as a tenured faculty member at a California community college, and I have met a lot of young men in that time, most all of whom wanted to leave me with a favorable impression, but these two guys were stand-outs. These were two men a father wants his sons to become. Thank you to Angie's List, to Silver Star Moving & Storage, but thanks most of all to Jay and Legacy, two extraordinarily fine men.

Amazing! On time, clean, COVID safe movers. The movers were polite, helpful, fast and efficient. The movers noticed a gas smell In the new place and warned us prior to finishing up the move. I highly recommend and would use again. Thank you,

Silver Star made everything easy! They took care of our fragile and TVs. They took apart our furniture and wrapped everything with care. They were honest and the cost was reasonable for the amount of work the two movers did. The loading and unloading was smooth and easy. Silver Star takes care of business and they do it well.

moving from home

Very well. It was a 13 hour process, plus for the movers, including driving. Only recommendation to other users - either get a person to come out and estimate the final cost or be prepared to provide a very complete inventory of the items to be moved. The estimate was based on an abbreviated version of what was given to the estimator on the phone and therefore an additional $700 was due upon completion. Still the service was timely and efficient.

They were very efficient, organized, flexible and professional. Final cost was somewhat higher than estimated but well worth it for the flexibility to handle multiple needs in one move.

The boys did an excellent job on the move and made sure everything was protected well. everything went on schedule and as planned. would definitely recommend to others and will use them again in the future.
