Description of Work: The contractor did not provide a promised bid after I provided specifications and an on site interview. The owner told me that he was going on vacation for a week. He asked if I could wait for his bid. I told him that I would wait. I delayed the project over 2 weeks and never got a response.

Description of Work: This was one of the most professional and prompt companies I have ever used. They measured the job and provided quote and references within a day or two. The day the concrete was poured they were all very polite and cleaned up the area. I would highly recommend using them!!!

Description of Work: The owner came out to give me a bid he took the time to measure and prepare the bid and he seemed to be knowledge about the project. He later called me back stating that I needed to get an engineer. I was looking for a two part bid, one part for a slap to park a fifthwhell on and the other part for a retaining wall about 120 feet long. He did say he could do the slab, but not the wall. I decided to not do the job.

I'm again quite disappointed after seening this type of review. Upon seeing this review I immediately contacted the homeowner directly by phone discuss the inaccuracies of this this review and also express my disagreement of the "C" rating provided by the homeowner. First off, I asked the homeowner to correct his statement that I said the job was "too large". You will realize reading through our 80 plus reviews that we've completed engineered masonry wall project ranging from 20K all the way up to 68K. Secondly, I asked him to correct his statement that he had been waiting for my estimate. Well, after taking the liberty to clarify with his local municipality that engineering plans will be required for the wall, I contacted the homeowner to inform him of this. I explained to him that due to city building code I would require engineered plans to provide a comprehensive estimate for the 120lf ret. wall. The home owner than asked over the phone if I had a "rough" idea of what his 120LF retaining wall would cost to build....I told him between $18,000 to $24,000. He then immediately expressed to me that the cost was beyond his expectations and that he would have to get back to me at a later time about his project. This was April 3 2013. I was really disappointed that I never heard back from the homeowner, because I spent the time and energy to book the appointment, visit him on site, made all the necessary measurements, arrived early to the appointment but had to wait 10-15 minutes as the homeowner might of double booked our appointment and was disccussing business with a tree trimming company. I also, took efforts to contact the city building division to verify building code requirements, called the homeowner to share my finidings and discuss options. I feel that we deserve better than "C"...

Description of Work: I called the company for an estimate, Val returned my call promptly. He came out and gave me an estimate for a problem with flooding and drainage in my garage and driveway. I have not had any work done to date yet, as my father-in-law got terminally sick and I have had to put the whole project on hold for the time being. Val Mataele was professional and very attentive as he listened and addressed my concerns. I would definitely use Falkon Construction in the future. Thanks Shirley
