Diversified Movers

We made a couple of dates, he kept canceling and then finally came out. They brought the wrong sized truck. I have a box full of shoes and they did not pay attention and a box of baking soda fell in the box that's ruined they're about eight pairs of high-end shoes covered in baking soda. I am not happy with the move. They were nice and friendly, but I'm not happy. They knew how much we had because they staged it, so why bring a small sized truck and had to make a second trip and we were charged for the second trip.

I was extremely pleased with the service. The reason I chose this mover was because they specified that they would do small jobs. They have a 4 hour minimum, but said that would probably be able to do the initial move in two hours and the second part of the move in the remaining two hours, and charge me the $200 for 4 hours. However, the second half of the move took slightly longer, due to the need to apply felt pads to all my furniture and more carefully place it on the new hardwood floor. These movers took amazing care, setting up a "staging area" at the top of the stairs where thick moving pads were put on the floor. Each piece of furniture was placed there and the felt pads were put on before the furniture was moved into place. I had purchased felt pads in advance, but when we ran out, they had some in their truck and provided them free of charge. So the additional $50 charge was for the extra hour it took to do this very careful move, and well worth it. There was no damage at all to the new floor. The movers were very professional and the owner Mike is very eager to please his customers. He called to follow-up with me and see if I was completely satisfied. There were two small issues. I have three floor and it is extremely difficult to move large furniture up and down the three flights of stairs, so slight problems always occur. In this case, the corner of my couch was dirtied in the move, however, Mike said I should call a professional upholstery cleaner and he would pay for any costs. Turned out I was able to clean it myself, so all was well. We also had some confusion over the time of arrival on the final moving day, but when they arrived, they did a superb job. I would definitely use this moving company again.

It didn't go well at all. First of all there was no contract. Secondly, on July 30, I was told to find my own storage facility when I had been told that my possessions would be placed in Diversified's storage. This was a last minute change which I didn't appreciate and an added expense. The packers came on 7/30/14 and packed my books which is what I wanted them to do. In addition, they packed my medication which I told them not to pack. Regarding my clothes, I was told that the movers would use a wardrobe box the next day & would wrap the framed art on the walls. Pat was the lead packer and she showed me a piece of paper w/the number of boxes used. I wasn't given an invoice. The movers came the next day and they did an incomplete job. They didn't pack my clothes in the wardrobe or put my shoes at the bottom of the wardrobe. They left a piece of framed art on the wall meaning they forgot to take it. The bottom trim of my dresser was detached from the dresser and not reported to me. I only saw this when the dresser was put in storage. After my items were moved to the storage facility, I asked the lead mover about returning to my home to get my clothes and a bookcase and he said we'll have to charge you overtime. I was charged overtime because of the hour the movers took for lunch. I don't believe that the consumer is responsible to pay for lunch time. While the movers were putting my items in storage, I saw that they had not used shrink wrap on several pieces of framed art or on a bookcase so I asked them to shrink wrap these items. I don't know if they did a good or bad job of packing the storage locker. I had to rent a second storage locker because there wasn't enough room in the first locker. The lead mover asked for my credit card information which I gave him and he gave the information over the phone. I called the owner of the company to express my displeasure about the way the movers treated my possessions and that they didn't take everything to storage. Upon my return home, three friends came over and we spent about 6 hours moving the remaining items from the house to the garage. This was unacceptable that we had to spend so much time to get the rest of my stuff out of my house. On Fri 8/1/14, the owner of Diversified came w/another person and packed up what we had boxed up the night before and also went inside to get a bookcase. We went to the storage facility and they placed the items in my locker. The owner asked me for my credit card information and I objected because I gave the information the day before and I didn't want to be charged twice. Then there was the issue of returning the key used to unlock the dolly. I didn't have the key & the movers were long gone by the time we realized the key was missing. I was really fed up with the amount of work that I had to do to get the items left in the garage ready to move to storage. I found shoes, boxes of family history items, and other items of importance. I was astounded at how my possessions were treated. I'm angry that my clothes were not placed in a wardrobe. I'm upset that I had to pay for storage above and beyond what I paid for the packing and moving. Even though the owner came on Friday to pick up the items that my friends and I had packed, I'm not satisfied with the way I was treated by the movers. When I asked them to complete the job by going back to get the bookcase & clothes, they didn't want to. I wasn't given a contract stating what the packers and movers would do. The move didn't go smoothly and the packers packed items that they were told to leave alone. I was very distressed by the experience I had w/Diversified movers and won't use them to move my items out of storage. It was heart wrenching to see my possessions treated poorly and that my items weren't given adequate protection as Diversified said it would provide. I sent Diversified an e-mail regarding my experience with their service and have not received a response. I want Diversified to compensate me for the cost of the storage which they said they were going to provide and to refund my money for their very poor, dismal service.

Head guy came out to take a look at what our one bedroom apartment held. Told him that we also had a very large storage unit that held the remainder of our four bedroom house that had been sold. He gave a quote for everything, a time and date for the movers to arrive an we were set. Two days before the move, he called to let us know that one of his drivers had been pulled over coming back from Nevada into California. The driver had an unpaid ticket on his record, so the state of California shut the moving business down until all of the correcting paperwork could be completed. So, he couldn't move us as scheduled. I understand things happen, but to just drop out of a move without any attempt to mitigate the damage to the customer is unthinkable in a reliable company. I ended up having to scramble to rent a truck on my own and find another company that could move everything into this rental truck. Another thing that had bothered me was that he didn't feel the need to check out our storage unit to see how much stuff we had. I then asked him "what if it all doesn't fit"? His reply "my guy is a magician at fitting things in to trucks". With the largest truck Penske rents, a 26 footer, we couldn't fit everything in it and had to leave the remainder for second trip later, so there's a big question as to his being able to accomplish the move as promised anyway.

I needed a few things moved from one area to another and Diversified Movers helped me get the job done. They were fast and professional. I would use them again.

I was having moving experience from h-e-double toothpicks! My dog passed away, landlord refused to allow a new one and gave me a new neighbor who refused to smoke anywhere but the patio between our two units on a small duplex property. Before I knew it I was scheduled to be out in 60 days! A week before I was supposed to be out, I called Diversified Moving and everything improved from there on out. Mike was reassuring on the phone, came a gave me an estimate the Sunday before the move which I had arranged on short notice. His crew was excellent, comfortable to work with, professional and did a fantastic job! The move took a morning and was a huge relief, the end of the nightmare for me.

I called to set a date two weeks in advance. Mike said what sounded like, "They'll be there this Sunday at 9 am to check it out and see what kind of help you want and let you know how to prepare". That was what I wanted, so it may be what I was listening for. It turned out that the date we set to move, Saturday August 17, was moved up to Sunday August 18, 2013. They did not show up to check things out. They did call the Friday before the move to let me know they'd be there Sunday. As far as preparation...during the initial conversation Mike said I didn't have to put anything in boxes, and they'd help me pack and unpack for $500. If it went over two hours, it would be $250 more for each two hours. It was hard to believe all my stuff would be moved that way, even in one whole day, without a lot of preparation. For that reason, I put most of my stuff in boxes before they arrived. It took several days. When they did arrive, they had a small truck and no packing supplies beyond tape, shrink wrap, and blankets for moving furniture. They told me they couldn't move my dishes, and did not have boxes to pack various things that had not yet been packed. I spent the next several days making a few trips per day back and forth to move the rest of my stuff. The movers were friendly and seemed to know how to do their job, though one of my wooden chairs did have a small ding in it after. When the movers finished, they were not aware of the arrangement Mike had outlined on the phone. They thought they were going to be paid by the hour. They called Mike and he told them to charge $500 for three hours of work. They did not appear to understand what happened with him any more than he understood what happened with them. Fortunately, I had a 15% coupon from your website and it only cost $425, though still more than three hours would have cost. I did not know how long the move would take, and wanted to minimize unnecessary cost. It still seems to me there is nothing quite like preparation and having things well co ordinated in advance.

Mike and the crew were amazing. They packed all of my breakables, furniture, clothes etc and moved everything to my new home in Las Vegas. Nothing was broken. I had to postpone my move for one week due to escrow closing dates and the guys could not have been more accommodating. The crew came out on Wednesday, packed everything, loaded the trucks on Thursday and delivered everything safely on Friday. They put everything in its place in my new home. With all of the stress involved in selling a home in CA and moving to a new state, it was wonderful to have Mike and the crew take care of all the moving details. I highly recommend them.

It was a pleasure working with Mike Campos and his crew at Diversified Movers. Short notice was not a problem and Mike was very responsive. The crew of three arrived ready to work and I was very impressed with their skills at moving some rather large pieces of furniture. It was the best $300 I have spent in a long time. Really saved me a lot of frustration trying to move everything myself. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for assistance of any type of moving project. If you are not sure if it is within your budget, or even feasible, just give Mike a call and he can help you decided.

Three movers arrived right on time and quickly loaded all of my boxes onto the truck. They carefully blanket-wrapped all furniture and cheerfully accommodated my special requests (moving a bookcase that I was giving to my neighbor into her home and putting some cupboard doors on that I had removed when I moved in). Once they arrived and we figured out the tricky freight elevator in my new building, all furniture and boxes were brought up to the 8th floor and placed exactly where I requested they be placed. They were quick, hard workers and finished about 3 hours short of the estimated time to finish. As a result, the cost was significantly less that I had planned on! I certainly can't complain about that! I would use Diversified Movers again (but hopefully I won't be moving again for many years!) and would recommend their services to friends and family.

I highly recommend Diversifed Movers. My house was foreclosed upon and I had little notice in which to move. Despite the short notice, Mike and crew showed up on time and ready to work. The staff was courteous, efficient and organized. I was impressed by the the professional manner displayed throughout my move. These guys are experienced, and have the necessary trucks & equipment to move anyone, anywhere.

.Entire crew were very friendly and creative in their deciding of how best to move the entertainment system. This was a small job but they were on time and very professional in their moving efforts. Would definitely use them again

Made moving a 4 bedroom household a lot smoother! Came out ahead of time to give an accurate and air quote. The day of the move, their truck broke down and they called to inform me that they were running late. Guys were careful and considerate an went above and beyond. They worked very hard to stay within the original quote. We did go over a bit but were aware we would ahead of time as they communicated their progress throughout the day and were very fair about the overhead charges. Would highly recommend them!

The men arrived early at our new location, which worked out very well because the truck arrived early as well. The men greeted us with a smile, which really started the task out on a positive note. They were alert, ready to work, friendly, and extra careful with our furniture. The experience was quite stress-free as everything went as planned. I would hire Diversified Movers again because the main thing when one moves is that it goes smoothly and pleasantly.

Mike came round originally to give an estimate, on the strength of this & Angies List reviews we decided to go ahead. Agreement on date & time were confirmed verbally by phone. The crew arrived on time & everything went very smoothly. They were very courteous & took care to wrap & protect all relevant items. We had a few steps up & down at the new house which they did not mention at all. They worked quickly & completed the job in less time than planned...the price came out significantly less than the estimate. Very stress free move overall, I would definitely use them again.

The move included a number of antique furniture items. We did most of the packing ourselves, but required some help. We set an appointment for Mike Campos to estimate the move in writing two weeks in advance, which he did, arriving on time and carefully explaining everything. On moving day, the crew arrived on time, we were introduced to them individually. They went right to work in a very professional manner. At our new home, the entire crew was extremely thoughtful as to the placement of furniture and boxes. The one-day move was completed in 1.5 hours less than estimated. The final cost refected this savings, along with a 10% discount for using Angie's List. WE were very satisfied, and have already recommended Diversified to friends.

From the initial quote to the last box moved Diversified Movers provided fantasic service in moving our office. The the four movers showed up on time the day of move and got right to work. They were very deligent, courteous and careful with all of our stuff. Would use them again!

We moved from Los Angeles,Ca to Mesquite, NV. From my first contact with Mike over the phone to get a bid to the last bin brought upstairs to our new apartament in Mesquite these guys were flawless. Professional? Yes.Friendly?Yes. Accomodating?Yes.Clean? Yes.Focused?Yes.Fast?Yes. It was a difficult move and we were dreading it. Mike and crew made it look so easy...and so quick!!! We signed up with Angies List just to find a mover and it proved to be just the right MOVE. Thanks.

I contacted several moving companies for an estimate and Diversified Movers was one of only two that agreed to come to the house. Mike Campos, the owner of the company, arrived on time and went through the house thoroughly explaining everything as he went from room to room. He handed me a written estimate and made sure I understood that he charges on an hourly basis. I thought it was a fair price and agreed to have them move us. On the day of the move there was rain in the forecast and Mike called to explain that the weather could slow down the move for safety reasons. I said I understood and agreed to move forward. Six guys and two trucks showed up on time and they went to work with practiced precision. They were friendly, professional, good natured and packed everything without a break. They had to disassemble a large treadmill and transport it from the second story downstairs and they accomplished this without touching a wall or damaging the wood floors. We had done all of the packing and the boxes were stacked in the garage however,as with any move, there were loose items. They wrapped, packed and moved them without hesitation or complaint. About half way through loading the trucks it started to sprinkle and by the time they were ready to go it was raining. When we left I asked them to call me when they were a half hour from the new house so we could order them lunch and refreshments. We thought we would have time when we arrived to go to a restaurant and get something to eat but to our surprise they called us and said they are almost there so we ordered lunch for them and drove to the house. The guys got there and immediately got to work unpacking. They took a quick break when their lunch and refreshments arrived and went back to work. They unloaded the boxes in the garage per my request and assembled and placed the furniture wherever we directed. I tried to assist in moving things but soon realized that I was just getting in the way. Everything went well with the unloading and when they were done we paid the bill, tipped the guys and they left. About ten minutes later John returned and said that he was sorry but he had made a mistake on the final bill. He said they went one hour over regular time and because it was a holiday (President's Day) he had to charge double time which amounted to $400.00 but he said that he neglected to deduct our $300.00 deposit so we owed them $100.00. We were very surprised but paid the money and he left. A couple of days later I found the estimate and saw that the billing was a straight $200.00 an hour with no mention of overtime. I called Mike (it was after hours) and left a message explaining my concerns and asked him to call me. I have to say I thought the worst and did not expect a call back. To my surprise Mike immediately returned my call and said that he was out of the office but would look into the charges the next day and give me a call. True to his word he called first thing in the morning and explained that it was a miscommunication with John, apologized for the mistake and said that he would have a check in the mail for the overcharged amount the next day. In conclusion I have to say that anyone can make a mistake but it's how it is handled that makes the difference in the final impression. Mike is an honest man who deeply cares about his customer's total satisfaction. I am completely satisfied with Mike Campos and his company and will use them on our next move and will cheerfully refer Diversified Movers to everyone I know.

Everything went very well. Got an estimate the same day I called. Did not realize that the owner and some of the staff formerly worked for Contemporary Center furniture store (now closed) and were familiar with their furniture, including the glass hutch which I was most concerned about moving safely. It went perfectly, and since then we have used them for another job.

John, Johnny, Mike, and Chavo were at our place a couple minutes before our 9AM scheduled time. These guys worked in a no non-sense fashion mindful of wrapping everything up and carefully getting them loaded on the truck. I don't ever remember if they even took a break from the 2.5hours of loading they did. On the un-load, they were just as efficient and made sure the boxes were placed in the designated rooms - they didn't bat an eye even when we asked them to re-move some items from 1 room to another. Overall, it was a great experience - the team communicated very well and were incredibly efficient in what they did. Thanks guys for job well done!

We were given an estimate for a certain amount of hours. They did not disclose to us that any time over an 8-hour day was a time and a half charge. There were also some damages to our things. First we were told the damages would be covered by insurance and then we were told we didn't have the right kind of insurance. We could never get a straight answer out of them. He has approved to fix some of the damages, though.

Very interested in even a small job. Some movement on date to do the move as they fit it in among larger jobs. Very professional in handling of work. Would definitely use them again.

Mike and his team made my move completely stress free! He came out in person to estimate the cost of packing and moving. His personality is warm and he was eager to answer all of the questions I had - and there were a lot (this was my first time hiring a moving company). Mike mentioned that they also do unpacking but I asked him not to include that in the estimate, which in total came to around $1600 for packing and moving (don't stop reading here, in the end they came in way under budget). Mike and his partners Joseph and Rochelle came on a Thursday to pack all my stuff. I am a single guy so I don't have as much stuff as a family of 4 but I was still amazed that they managed to have everything packed into boxes and arranged neatly in my living room in only *THREE* hours. I had scheduled the move for the following Sunday (3 days later), and as the time approached I started to realize that it would probably be a huge weight off my shoulders if they also did the unpacking for me. I sent Mike a txt Saturday morning asking if this would be possible and he said it would be no problem. On Sunday morning Mike Joseph and Rochelle brought the giant moving truck along with two extra helpers, John and Julio. They have obviously been doing this a long time - they worked together very well. They worked very quickly and efficiently and I never sensed that they were rushing things or being careless. Every item that couldn't be wrapped in paper and boxed was carefully wrapped in blankets and taped. I think they had everything loaded onto the truck in under 2 hours (including a number of larger pieces which couldn't be boxed on Thursday like my bed, TV, desk, chairs, tables, etc). When we got to the new house, unloading got underway and Rochelle took charge of unpacking and storing everything in my kitchen. She asked me where I wanted key things to go and placed everything else intuitively where it needed to be. I threw Mike a curve ball when I decided that a *very* large cabinet system left behind by the previous owner in the office was taking up too much room and needed to be removed. This thing was GIANT, 92x82x32. He carefully took it apart piece by piece with help from his crew and wrapped it in plastic and stored it in my garage, making sure I saw all the criticial aspects of disassembly, and saving every last screw and bolt so that it could some day be put back together. (Anyone wanna buy it??) With that out of the way, the unpacking continued smoothly and everything ended up where it needed to go. They broke down all the boxes and neatly folded all the packing materials so that they could re-use them later - a brilliant plan which actually saved me money because as a result Mike did not charge me for any of the supplies! Read that again people - I *just* moved and I am already in my new house living comfortably without any stacks of boxes staring me in the face! In the end - even with the time lost to the giant cabinet disassembly - the total cost was $1050. When I think of how much time, energy, and stress I saved, it was probably the most valuable $1050 I've ever spent. I really think I lucked out finding Mike (thanks to Angies list!). He and his team did an excelent job that went above and beyond my expectations and came in well below the estimated cost. I suggested that we all pose for a photo so that I could include it in this review and they obliged, but it looks like Angies list doesn't have any way to include photos in reviews. Thanks again Mike!

I have used movers in the past for both local moves and cross-country, but I really liked these guys. They were careful, quick, and funny too. They made my move actually a pleasant experience!
