The original repairs lasted first for a year, and then, needed to be repaired again after our house was tented. This lasted until the recent heavy rains came, there were leaks. The repairs were not guaranteed, so I suppose it worked out all right. They do give a guarantee for new roof.

Crew was punctual and kept area clean as they worked.

Once the work commenced the work was done extremely professional and with good communications. Very happy with the end result.

Ricardo was very professional and performed the work in a very timely manner. It appears the leak was fixed because it rained last night and I do not see any signs of the leak.

My experience with Chandler's roofing was excellent. They were professional in every aspect of the job. They were clear and complete in their estimate, prompt in doing the work, always left the work area clean and orderly, provided any explanations that were needed along with way, and completed the job on time. I would highly recommend them for any roofing needs.

Excellent service with hardly any mess. One hick-up with the DISH antenna (my fault) since it needed to be moved but we worked thru that with no work interruption.

It took 8 months from the time I gave deposit until they performed the work. But once they started the job was quick & professional.

Chandler's was not the lowest bid and in fact, they were the highest. There also were delays on the front-end with me signing the contract in February and not getting an estimated start date until May, which turned into June. In the end, Chandler's did an outstanding job and the roof looks amazing. I would refer and hire them again. Our contact, Ricardo, was professional and prompt. I was told 7-10 days, and it was 7 days. He checked in frequently and sent photos, including the wood rot uncovered once the old roof was removed. Everyone on the job was promptly there in the morning, friendly, and professional. Most importantly, everything was cleaned up every evening in my yard, the alley, and even my neighbor's yard. Chandler's Roofing inspected our roof and old skylight, measured for skylight replacement, procured new custom-built skylight, installed new skylight, removed and replaced broken roof tiles. Their quote was reasonable, the job was performed as per the quote. Excellent service, the new skylight looks great, will continue to use Chandler's Roofing for all of our roofing needs.

Contract signed September 25, 2015. Start date was 4-6 weeks out. First date had to be rescheduled due to another job taking longer than planned. Two more dates had to be rescheduled because of the possibility of rain...didn't rain. Plywood repair on roof done without contacting us first, as required by the contract. After our final payment to Chandler in late November, we received a threatening lien notice from the material supplier (G & F Roof Supply) in January 2016 because they had not been paid by Chandler Roofing. It took several weeks before G & F got paid after we contacted Chandler, and G & F provided us with a lien release in early February. It also took several more weeks after that until Chandler finally provided us with their lien release (early March), after two requests.

Crew arrived promptly on Monday morning at 8 am to begin a complete roof re-do. The crew took off the entire roof system in one day and disposed of all materials before I got home at 5:30 pm. They also began laying the plywood around the edges of the home to protect for overnight. For the rest of the week the crew arrived at my home every morning at 8 and worked all day. They worked very clean and fast. The quality of roofing material is superior. I love my new roof. I feel my home is more solid and if I decide to sell the house the roof will be one of the selling points. The pattern of the roof tiles are a little unique and I find it very interesting. The color, Autumn Brown, is very dark, classic and gives me many options of colors that I can choose to paint my home. It is also different from all of the other colors of roofs in my neighborhood. I had good professional conversations with the project manager, Erica at the office and the Crew leaders. They answered any questions I had and they were very aware of the importance of customer service. From the beginning stages of getting a price on the roof, to phone calls, to setting up the work, I found each phase to be exceptionally professionally handled. They even helped me to understand the different pricing options and payment options. I wanted to support the family run business and I whole heartedly recommend anyone who wants to get a high quality roof put on their home with high quality professional service to contact Chandler's Roofing. The work on the garage roof involved removing the existing shingle roofing, railing and facia. Also involved was the replacement of limited areas of damaged substrate wood. A month before the work started, Blake Welstead came to inspect the project and to discuss options. Negotiation and contract terms were arrived at by PDF over the internet. It took five days (Monday through Friday) to complete the roofs on the garage and house. I made three payments: a down payment at contract signing, and one as each part of the job was completed. Making payment by credit card was not a viable option. Chandler's does not have a secure web capability and they wouldn't take my credit card info over the phone but did suggest that I put it in an email. Anyway, I sent them checks. I opted for a PVC membrane roofing system by IB at a significant higher cost but I think that the appearance and utility is worth it. I found it interesting and gratifying that the IB company sent an inspector to check the work before the city inspector made an appearance. All the workers were professional and answered all my questions. I am very satisfied with Chandler's work. There were no leaks when the rains came a few weeks later.

Aside from a grossly inaccurate estimate of the start date (They estimated start 10-12 weeks after the contract signing, but the actual start was 15 weeks after contract signing), they were reasonably accommodating and the work was was excellent. The office shuffled work schedules to get our job done before we left on a long-planned trip. Then we had a one-day delay in start because of forecast rain. On the rescheduled start day, the crew showed up on time and immediately went to work. When a roofer accidentally broke a lawn sprinkler while moving material to the back yard, the foreman informed me and promptly replaced the broken sprinkler head. The crew kept the job site clean even during the messy process of stripping off the old roof. The entire job, including final inspection by the city, was done in four days. The workmanship is excellent. As the city inspector commented to me "I like to see a roof like that. You can be proud of it."

While our roof is watertight, our hot climate had made the roof tile brittle and subject to breakage when walked on.Consequently replacement of the stapled tiles required experienced roofers who could replace a tile ( and the two adjacent tiles as necessary) without causing further breakage. The eighty tiles were replaced in one and a half day's work that also included the painting, caulking and roof clean up. This was a difficult job and I highly recommend these people.I was particularly impressed in that the people who prepared the estimate showed up while the job was in progress to see that the work was progressing as planned. I also liked the fact that the company manager showed up during the estimate and while the work was in progress. There was minimum breakage during the repair and they left the excess tiles that they had brought to cover potential breakage. The repair was expensive but I believe that I got value for money from a very skilled and professional outfit. Thanks guys.

I must confess that I am very reluctant to say anything negative about them because the overall job, I thought, was extraordinarily well done. But I was a little disappointed in the follow up on the appointment because it was an extraordinarily expensive roof. The one thing they found -- they said just needed a little caulking on it --it was something I could have done, they said they would have to charge to do that. It was very minimal, but I thought it was a bit tacky after a major job not to just do it and say it was done. The experience was fine. Whatever needed correcting was corrected. I think their price is a little on the high range, but I would say you get your money's worth because the people are very experienced.

We wanted to prepare for the El Nino Weather and fix some of the problem spots in our Roof. At first is started out nice Ricardo Diaz came out and was super friendly and professional. We decided to go with Chandlers Roofing and had an appt on Dec. 4th and that they would arrive between 8:30 to 9am. I came in early to the building they did not show up almost 12pm. I take time very seriously and for me to go out of my way to wait 3 hours is unacceptable. However, they finished in a couple of hours and left. Luckily a month later Los Angeles had its first major down pour and I felt secure that we wouldnt have any issues. However, coming into the office all the problem areas were still leaking. I called them immediately stating we having the same problem. I spoke to customer service and they said they would have Ricardo Diaz call me as soon as possible. One Day passes no response, so I called again, giving them just a reminder, because it was raining very hard in LA and assumed they were extremely business. Ricardo did end up calling me and said he would call me back. Yet, he did not call me back. So I called again the next day and said they will look into this issue have him call me again. Again NO response. So, I called again, I paid money for them to fix the areas and The same areas are still leaking. Yet, after calling 5 times, I still do not have not received an answer on how they will fix this issue. Leaving a bad feedback may be the only way they will resolve this and get their attention. It so sad, because on Angies List they are highly recommended. Maybe They are Fake reviews.

I did not hire this company to do the work requested as I felt their price was excessive for "emergency work". Perhaps calling for a fix during the rain was a bad idea.....

Daniel, the project manager, was an absolute delight to work with. If I were rating the company on his performance alone, I would be inclined to give an "A" across the board, but there were too many variables with the crews of workers that caused angst. Nothing particularly awful, but certainly avoidable with better communication and management of expectations. Not knowing how these things go, I learned that there are different work crews for different phases of the job. So when the team that does the tear off of the old roof showed up early and ready to work at 8:00 AM, I got it into my head that they would be there every day at 8:00. (This is important, because I made plans to stay at home for the entire week as we have two large dogs I needed to keep indoors while the work was being performed. If only someone had told me that there was a different group for the installation of the roof, and they don't arrive first thing in the morning - I could have gotten some errands done!) Nor was I advised that an inspection was needed after completion of the tear off and prior to the beginning of the installation of the new roof. This caused me to sit around all day on Tuesday and nobody showed up. I had to contact the office to find out why. The tear-off crew did a good job of laying down tarps to catch the debris from the old roof. And they did sweep up afterwards, although I had to point out that sweeping AROUND the door mat was not acceptable when the doormat was full of debris. It was dark when they left, so I later discovered messes on my window sills and in various places on the patio. I did appreciate that they covered up the contents in the garage. That saved what would have been a huge mess, as the open beams there would have allowed a rain of construction trash all over the place. (However, the installation crew did not do the same thing, so we got a giant mess anyway.) The biggest concern was nails, as I did not want our dogs to be injured. As it turned out, I found about ten. In the scheme of roofing jobs, I am told this is quite good. The people in the main office were very professional and did a good job of communicating via email. But again, the customer's ignorance should be considered. For example, I did not know that when the job was finished and the first few rains occurred that some of the color would wash off and onto the house and grounds. Twice I have had my white SUV covered with what looks like someone's 5 gallon cup of cappuccino sprinkled all over. It ran down the awning (which are thankfully black) and made a mess on the white window trim as well. If I had been apprised that this is a normal thing, I would have parked my car away from the house. I do want to say that the price at Chandler's Roofing was competitive. Another highly-rated company, Above it All Roofing, wanted almost $7000 more!

They were on time and very professional. Did a great job. I think $250 just to come out and inspect was a little high though.
