Chandler's did an outstanding job and I would highly recommend them when considering any type of roof installation and/or repair. The IB PVC thermoplastic roof was installed on the 8,500 sq. ft. Ashford Market, Santa Monica, CA roof in mid 2010 (zip code is 90403). This was an extremely difficult job as the old tar and gravel roofing system that was removed was very old and complex with a myriad of electrical conduit, gas and water piping, seven HVAC units, external HVAC ducting and a T-Mobile telephone antenna system with it's cable trays and six antennas. They also removed the old exterior HVAC ducts and installed new flexible ducting in the attic area and installed new platforms and condensate lines. Chandler's worked well with other subcontractors on the job and most importantly they worked very well with the City of Santa Monica Building and Safety inspector and the C of SM is not easy to deal with.
Description of Work: Provided annual roof maintenance on a commercial building IB PVC thermoplastic roof that Chandler's Roofing originally installed in 2010.

Blake came out and did the initial bid. I wasn't sure if I needed a new roof or if a repair would do. Blake was very honest and thought that a repair would probably be fine and that I could wait for a full re-roof. The bid came in quickly and wasn't the cheapest one I had gotten but they had won my trust by not convincing me that i needed a $8000 new roof. It took awhile to schedule the job but it wasn't raining season so I wasn't in too much of a rush. On the day the work was scheduled the 2 man crew showed up right near the end of the 2 hour window they had given me but were still technically on time. I went on to work and left them to do the work alone. When I got home my yard was emaculate, I would not have known they were there if I couldn't see the repaired roof. I left them access to a bathroom and that was clean too. I got up on the roof the next day to inspect the work and it looks great. They matched my existing shingles almost exactly and did everything we had agreed too. they replaces about 200 square feet of shingles all the way to the edge of the roof over the area that had leaked. Now I wait for rain but I'm confident that I'll not have any problems. The final invoice came the next day and was exactly what was in the contract with no extras even though it sounded like the replaces a small amount of wood that technically should have been extra. Most of the corespondence was handled via email which is much easier for me than the phone. I have a hard time talking during my week day but email is easy but I'm amazed at how many contractors seem to find email difficult, not chandlers. Overall I couldn't be happier and will definitely use them when in time to re-roof in 5 to 10 years.
Description of Work: Repaired leak in roof. Replaced ridge cap and approximately 200 square feet of shingles.

Chandler's Roofing did a great job. From the old shingle removal to the bad wood replacement and the entire G.A.F. roofing system with a "life time roof warranty". Francisco and his crew are like artists. the new roof looks beautiful. I took lots of pictures as the work progressed until it was finished. Daniel's crew did everything he promised us and more. I wish there was an "A+" rating on Angie's List, because an A+ is what Daniel, Francisco (and crew), and Chandler's Roofing deserve. We are so happy with the job, quality of work, and the beauty of the A.G.F. roofing system. We would recommend Chandler's Roofing to all our friends neighbors, and anyone interested in a very high quality and beautiful A.G.F. roofing system. Thank you Daniel, Francisco (and crew), and Chandler's Roofing you did a fabulous job at a great price, Jerry W., Whittier, Ca.
Description of Work: Daniel showed up right on time. he gave us a very detailed estimate on a complete re roof with white energy star shingles. He went on the roof and measured it and made some recommendations to give us the best roof, venting, and warranty. at the best price.

They were fantastic. Their quote was in the same ballpark as 2 other companies we got estimates from but their estimate also included so much detail as well as a lot of information about the company, their licensing and the product they used that we were impressed enough to go with them. Great choice! They were on time - even got us in a few days earlier than planned. Very professional throughout the whole process. We had them remove our old gutters, replace the fascia around 1/2 the house, replace all our old cracked cedar shingles with Timberline shingles. They called immediately when they found some rotted wood under part of the house from termite damage and ended up having to put plywood under older part of the house that did not have it. Blake handled everything from the initial meeting, oversaw the work being done and kept me updated throughout the weekly progress was great. The house looks fantastic now and the Timberline HD we picked was a much better compliment to the brick front than the old, outdated, faded, cracked shingles put in 37 years ago. We have received tons of compliments from our neighbors.
Description of Work: Replaced roofing shingles as well as some damaged wood around the house and under the shingles

Blake came out to examine our roof and provide an estimate to replace it with asphalt shingles, including sheathing underneath. He came out the morning after I first called him, was very helpful, and took the time to discuss the project and answer our questions. One thing I noticed with Chandler, vs the other roofers we talked to, is that Chandler is a bigger company with a marketing budget and solid support staff. When Blake said the office would provide us with a list of addresses to asphalt roofs they'd done in our area, boom! - it was in my email inbox. When I later asked the office for a list of tile roofs, it was sent immediately. When our quote was ready, I was sent an email asking to make an appointment for Blake to come back out to give us the quote and that I would receive a $5 Starbucks gift card. This made me weary. Why couldn't they just email me the quote. Was this going to be the big sell? But when Blake arrived again, no pressure - just an explanation of the quote, samples of the underlayment, a whole folder full of information about Chandler and roof replacement in general. He answered any further questions we had and was gone. Couldn't have been a nicer guy. We received a fair quote and were happy with our Chandler experience but ultimately went with another roofer. ... never did receive my Starbucks gift card. :( UPDATE: Did receive my Starbucks gift card. All smiles. Thank you.
Description of Work: Came out twice - once to examine our roof and again to present us with and explain the estimate to replace it.

I'd had 3 bids from companies on Angie's list for my 100-yr old 9,000 ft^2 house whose roof was 23 years old. The house hadn't had any drip edge, and the shingles had been cut back to the edge of the eaves. In addition, there were custom rafter tails that are decorative and are used to hold a gutter. I saw the reviews for Chandler's roofing, and decided I'd contact them and see whether they'd come out to the Inland Empire. Turned out they were willing to do so. Ricardo was the project manager and came out and bid the project. The bid was in line with other bids at about $40K. We delayed beginning the roofing process because we were getting solar from another company and that company was backlogged. We finally decided to start work on the main part of the house (which wouldn't have solar), and wait to do the carriage house until the solar mounts had been installed. Jorge Pena, Sr, was the foreman on site and was on top of everything. The roof was done in 3 parts (each part being demoed, and then re-roofed before moving on to the next part). Many of the eaves had displayed signs of water damage and, indeed, needed to be replaced as did many of the custom rafters. We had a disagreement with respect to the custom rafters: the contract mentioned one price, which is what I'd been planning for, Ricardo discussed a higher price, which I negotiated down a bit. Eventually, I ended up talking to Brian Hicks the owner about the pricing. According to them, the mention of rafters and price was a standard part of their contract, and wasn't intended to cover our custom rafters. Unfortunately, I had no way of knowing that. They wouldn't make any accommodation and we ended up paying an additional $11,000 (there were a lot of rotted rafters!) over the price stated in the contract. This remains the only dissatisfaction I have with the entire process; what was most frustrating was nobody's acknowledgement that the clause in the contract led to this problem and that they bore some responsibility. Having said that, the quality of the work was excellent and Jorge is really a master at what he does. We've still got a little roof left to finish (still waiting on the solar installers to put up their mounts).
Description of Work: Chandlers removed existing roof, installed new GAF shingles with Golden Pledge warranty on a steep roof with 3 chimneys, many dormers, ridges and valleys. They replaced much of the eaves, some plywood, and 78 custom rafter tails. As well, they installed two flat roofs on balconies. This was a big job that took 5 solid weeks.

We loved working on your historic property and look forward to completing the project when your solar company completes their initial installation. If there is much more delay and you would like to incorporate GAF Solar into your project, please let us know as we are the only GAF Solar Elite contractor in Southern California. We apologize for any confusion you might have had with the extensive rafter tail work which was completed. It is a bit confusing to us that this review was written in this manner, but we apologize for the confusion none the less. We would like to reinforce to you and any future Angie's List members what our owners explained to you in the conversation which occurred. First and foremost, we have a very detailed and clearly laid out roofing estimate and in bold print, prominently on the first page on section two is outlines our lumber pricing and states "Standard Lumber Only". Your historic, hand crafted custom rafter tails were far from standard lumber and required us to purchase custom lumber and two custom machines two hand craft each rafter tail ourselves. Additionally, these had to be installed on a very tricky, steep slope, two story structure. The price for these custom rafter tails was discussed with you prior to the first one being installed and you did in fact sign an additional work order. It was not until the extensive damage was discovered after tearing off the old roof that you then became alarmed at the cost necessary to properly correct and fix this old home... Something we might add that is completely out of our control. Never the less our Project Manager did have several conversations with you and did work the cost on each rafter tail down to try and reduce the cost the best we could. The fact is, those rafter tails were very, very difficult and had we have sub'ed them out to one of our lumber yards, it probably would have cost you nearly double the cost. I want to make it clear to the Angie's List forum that we provide all our lumber costs up front for standard lumber and have no hidden costs associated with our projects. Everything is in writing and agreed upon by the property owner before any work proceeds... Again, a reason for the perplexity of this review. Needless to say, your roof is beautiful, our crew did an amazing job at reestablishing the historical beauty of your property and we are very happy with the outcome. We are sad you have any negative feeling toward the project. You are part of the Chandler's Roofing family and if there is anything else we can do for you or any of your friends or family, we're here to help!

Overall it went extremely well from the time we received the bid to when they finished repairs. I would highly recommend Chandler Roofing because they are very professionally run. I'm on the board for our HOA and we have 4 buidlings in our complex. We needed to get several bids for comparison. I called Chandler Roofing and spoke to Daniel who came out to give me a bid to have our gutters cleaned and repaired on all 4 of our buildings. He then followed up with an e-mail that had his picture on it (very impressive). We needed to get board approval on the different bids and during the process Daniel called several times to see if we made a decision. Our HOA did decide to go with Chandler Roofing and Daniel came out once again to narrow down the scope of work and also made some suggestions. Within a few days I was sent an adjusted bid (very prompt). We had the work done this week and they did an excellent job! I was also very impressed by the overall professionalism of everyone in the company. Daniel gave me copies of their Workman's Comp Insurance and a Certificate of Liability (which is like pulling teeth with some other vendors). The women in the office were very professional and sent me several e-mails with adjusted pricing (we decided to have some extra gutters installed in the front of our building). Overall I feel that this is a "top notch" organization. It's very difficult to find contractors who show up on time and an organization that is so well run. I was very impressed with my overall experience with Chandler Roofing.

Chandlers assigned two very experienced, highly professional roofers to complete the job over a six day period including a new gutter installation. Both Abel and Marty were outstanding workers; highly knowledgeable, experienced and very cooperative in answering all our questions and keeping us informed of progress. Thet office people were also top notch- all in all, we are very satisfied with the job and with Chandlers whom we would recommend wirhout any reservations.
Description of Work: The eves of our house and detached garage had developed wood rot over the years. We were aware of the damage to a degree, having had the house, and eves painted about 5 years earlier. At that time patchup repairs were made in connection with the paint job. We called in Chandlers, whom we had successfully used for a roof leak repair more than 10 years prior and because of their outstanding rating on Angie's list. Ricardo estimated, staffed and supervised the job which considted of replacing a number of roof rafters, many linier feet of starter board , fascia, roof paper, painting, etc. to repair all affected areas. It soon became evident that the damage was more extensive than was visable from initial inspection. Working with Ricardo, we approached the job in sectionsto keep track of the total projected cost of the repairs. He was most helpful and cooperative.

We know the lumber replacement on your home turned out to be a much bigger problem than any of us realized, however I am glad that Ricardo and our team were able to manage it in a controllable and understandable way. The damage of rotted and termite damaged lumber can sometimes be very unnoticable until we begin to open up and remove the roof and, or damage. Daniel was my project manager and did a great job coordinating everything from the initial quote to completion. Erica in the office was also very helpful throughout. Francisco was our foreman and his team did a great job removing and installing the new roof. The roof looks perfect (very thorough work), and they cleaned up really well around the house. They did the job quickly, efficiently, and with high quality. No complaints!

As a new homeowner with zero home repair experiences, I was completely worried about the re-roofing process...but thankfully I made the correct decision in selecting Chandler's Roofing. I decided to wait until after going through some rain storms before submitting my review, but there really was no need for me to wait...my new roof looks great and is free of any defects! Daniel, Trevor, and the rest of the Chandler's Roofing team made this a really enjoyable experience. I never had to worry about a single thing as they are truly professional and take great care and concern in installing a roof correctly. Chandler's Roofing prides themselves on their reputation and they truly lived up to it. They focus on great customer service and superior workmanship. I had several other roofing companies come out to my home to bid and while Chandler's Roofing was no where near the lowest estimate, their thoughtful and thorough estimate process made me feel secure that they would do a great job. I referred Chandler's Roofing to my in-laws and am a loyal and passionate supporter of Chandler's Roofing. Also, please ask for Daniel, he is the absolute BEST!
Description of Work: Chandler's Roofing reroofed my home by installing a complete GAF roofing system on my 1-story house and detached garage. Services performed include the following: - Preparation: obtain permits, tear off old roof (4 layers), haul away debris, clean area - Replace damaged lumber where needed - Install roof (underlayment, metal, flashings, vents, rain gutters, shingles, roof, etc. - Paint/touch up as needed In addition to the superior and professional service, Daniel from Chandler's Roofing was in constant contact with me giving me updates, inspecting the work progress, and making sure that his team was working efficiently and effectively.

Chandler's Roofing provided the best value quote out of 6 bids that I received. They offered a GAF Golden Pledge new roof system for what others would only provide a basic roof installation. The GAF Golden Pledge Warranty covers the material for 50 years and the labor for 25 years. To qualify for the Golden Pledge Warranty, Chandler's used GAF's best materials in the roof installation. They completely removed the old roof, fixed the roof planks, and installed the new system. I personally examined the work and the materials. Chandler's work was excellent and the materials were 1st class. The crew was easy to work with. They finished the entire job in 3 days. I highly recommend Chandler's Roofing. I gave them a cash bonus for the good work.

Ricardo came on time and was very friendly and professional. The office sent me an email with the quoted price and deiced to go with them. Once we had scheduled time to do the job, it went fairly quickly. I was very pleased with their crew and the job they performed. They were very efficient and left no mess. I highly recommend this company.

I hired this company on behalf of my 89 year old mother to re-roof her nearly 80 year old home that she's lived in for over 50 years. We are restoring the home and I selected Chandler's because they represented themselves as having experience in working with historic homes. They stated that they could meet my standards of preserving the unique character of the house during the reroofing process. One of the historic features in the home is a leaded stained glass skylight window. There is an external skylignt that sits on the roof, and several feet below the external skylight was the stained glass window. Chandler's project manager said that the external skylight showed signs of having leaked, that it was in poor condition, and said that it should be replaced. I asked him whether they were able to replace the external skylight without damaging the stained glass window. He assured me that they could and said that part of their service was to clean the stained glass once the external skylight was removed. Another roofing company had said that they would do the same thing, so I assumed that this was a typical service that roofing companies provided. Because of the historic and sentimental value that the stained glass had, I needed to be reassured that they could perform this service without damaging the glass. They said that they had experience in replacing skylights such as this and that they had experience in dealing with historic homes. However, during the roofing process, they damaged the stained glass window. The took no precautions and had no processes in place for protecting and/or handling the glass. They left it exposed to falling debris, and they broke it while they were cleaning it. There were so many errors that were made that it really appeared that they had NO relevant experience, even though they said that they had. On the day that they started tearing off the roof, I noticed that large chunks of debris had fallen on the window. I assumed that it was roofing material that had fallen into the skylight well and informed the foreman that I was concerned about them having removed the external skylight and having left the stained glass exposed to flying/falling objects during the demolition process. He told me that he would put the old skylight back on temporariily to protect the window. I was later told that the debris that I'd seen wasn't roofing material but that it was plaster that had fallen down when they removed the external skylight, but at the time that I complained to the foreman, he didn't correct my assumption about what the material was. At some point in time I had a dicussion with the foreman and reiterated my concern about protecting the stained glass and he said that they were being very careful. He said that they would remove the debris and that they had special tools that they would use to clean the glass. The day after they removed the debris, I happened to look up at the window and noticed that one of the panels had 3 cracks in it. The big pieces of debris had been removed but there were smaller chunks that had fallen on the glass. I informed Trevor, a manager (and part-owner, I believe) of the business via email what had occurred. I also informed one of the workers that the glass was cracked and that it still had debris on it. He said that he had cleaned it the day before. Shortly thereafter, I was standing in the room where the window was and I noticed the light change from above. I looked up and saw the shadow of a hand, wiping the stained glass window. The worker was applying pressure to the glass and rubbing it as if he was scrubbing a dirty pot. The glass was literally bending from the pressure that he was applying to it and I started screaming at him to stop. Apparently he didn't hear me and he kept on rubbing the glass and I watched it crack AGAIN before my very eyes, as I was screaming for him to stop. I ran outside and screamed at them to get their attention and it was then that they stopped. I was and am still very angry at what I view as being complete incompetence in handling the cleaning of the glass. It seems that it should be common sense that one wouldn't lie on one's stomach, apply pressure from the top down (with no support from the bottom) and rub 80 year old leaded stained glass. They supposedly had special tools but apparently they decided not to use them. And to add insult to injury, this incident occured immediately after I had informed the worker that the glass was cracked, yet he decided to handle the glass and apply pressure to it. This makes no sense to me and isn't consistent with the company's representation that they knew how to handle this portion of the project. I had conversations with the project manager and with Trevor who informed me that the chunks of debris that had fallen on the stained glass were not pieces of roofing materials, but were actually pieces of plaster that had become dislodged from the skylight well. They said that there was water damage from the exterior skylight having leaked, that the plaster fell because of this and they had no control over that happening and that they couldn't have predicted that it would happen. It seeds to me that a roofing company who has dealt with leaky skylights in old homes could have anticipated that this was a possibility. Given that I had expressed my concern over protecting the window, that they could have either taken precautions to protect the glass from falling debris (like removing it - it is in a frame so that it can actually be removed), or warned me that this could occur and that they couldn't take responsiblity for protecting the stained glass. At any rate, when I was complaining about what happened, Trevor said that he would come to the property to investigate. While I was waiting for Trevor to arrive, I had a chance conversation with one of the workers who told me that there was a risk of debris continuing to fall on the stained glass. He said that there were chunks of plaster in the skylight well that were loose and that the vibrations from them working on the roof could shake the plaster loose and that more could fall on the window. This explained why I kept seeing small chunks on the glass after they'd cleaned it, but more importantly I was concerned about the fact that they were aware that the glass was in danger of further damage and that (1) no one had taken precautions to protect it or (2) informed me so that I could take precautions to protect it. I had to learn about it through a chance conversation with a worker, even though I'd done everything that I could to indicate to them that preserving the window was of utmost importance to me. At that point, I had lost complete faith in them so I called a contractor who specializes in historic preservation who had previously seen the stained glass window. I wanted him to remove the stained glass window so that they couldn't damage it further. I was on the phone with him when Trevor arrived. Trevor insisted that he be given the opportunity to correct the problem himself instead of my calling another contractor to remove the glass. After speaking with both the contractor and Trevor about the situation, I decided to let Trevor remove the window. He and one of his men got on a ladder and with a lot of careful maneuvers, they were able to remove the window. After the job was complete, I entered a dialog with Trevor about reimbursing us for the damaged window. His position was that they normally don't compensate customers for "interior damages that are out of their control" but that because he wanted to maintain a good relationship with me and my mother, that he'd make a $300 concession. I was pretty insulted by this because obviously the value of this window was much higher and because this wasn't "interior damage out of their control". It was something that they represented they could do as part of the contract and they had directly handled the window and broken it. Because I didn't want to have a bad relationship with them either by making this into a big situation, I'd obtained a phone estimate for the repairing the window, which was a range of values. I'd chosen the midpoint of the range and asked for remibursement of that amount. When Trevor stuck with his $300 number I decided it was better to have an official estimate based on an examination and appraisal of the window. In the meantime, the project manager left a voicemail message for me, in which he requested that I pay the final bill and advised me to deduct some money from the bill for the stained glass window until we could figure out what to do. Because I hadn't obtained a formal estimate I just guessed at how much to deduct and promptly paid the bill, minus that amount. After I obtained the estimate, I emailed Trevor a copy of the estimate and reminded him of what his project manager had said about deducting money from the bill. In the same email I also asked Trevor about an issue with the roof installation that had never been resolved and which is still unresolved. Last week I learned that Chandler had turned over the account to a collections agency for the unpaid balance, after having told me to withhold money for the stained glass window. I was shocked because they never asked for payment of the remaining balance. I was hoping that they had done this in error so I called Trevor twice to speak with him. It has been one week and he has not returned my call. I am saddened by what appears to be unethical and bad faith dealing. The least they could have done was to ask us to pay prior to sending a pitbull credit agency to harrass my 89 year old mother and potentially damage her credit. And now my mother has an $18K roof with essentially no warranty because we can't call this company to perform the yearly maintenance that is required to preserve the warranty. We entered into our contract with them in good faith, but now we regret having met them.
Description of Work: Re-roofing on a house. The job included replacing a tile portion of the roof, replacing a flat roof, replacing ornate, decorative fascia boards, replacing a skylignt. In replacing the skylight, they damaged an 80 year old historic stained glass window that sat directly underneath the external skylight, after assuring me that they could replace the external skylight without damaging the window. They took no precautions for protecting the window and damaged it. We were having discussions about how we should be compensated for the damage but hadn't agreed on an amount. They instructed me to hold money from the final bill for the damage to the skylight until we had agreed how it would be handled. Without warning they reversed their position and sent the account to a collections agency. I fail to understand how a company can come into your home, damage it, not take responsiblity for the damage and then send the account to an aggressive collections agency without so much as a warning or a request for payment. There is also a problem with the installation that I mentioned to them several times without having had a satisfactory response. It also appears that there is no usable warranty on this $18K roof because exercising it requires yearly maintenance by them. Obviously, as a result of what appears to be bad faith dealings, we can't call them to maintain the roof. I regret having done business with them.

Response from Chandler's Roofing
We are deeply regretful that it required us to send your account to our rarely used collection agency in order to be properly compensated for the beautiful re-roof we completed for you and your Mother. In fact in the 71 years that Chandler's Roofing has been in business, we have always stood behind our work, properly acknowledged our mistakes and taken responsibility for any mishaps which our team caused. That is how we have earned the solid reputation in which we maintain in the community. That being said we completely and firmly stand behind the work we completed and will gladly and ethically maintain the roof in which we completed. There is no hard feelings on our end. We would like to address a few of the issues in which you point out in this review however as they are greatly slanted views. First and foremost, we made several attempts to collect proper payment from you, including emails from our accounting department, several emails from our President and a phone call from our Project Manager. You arbitrarily chose to withhold the sum of $2,000 from the final payment and did not answer the final email from our President in regards to how we were going to finally settle things. Weeks passed and in good faith we went beyond the timeframe in which a contractor can attach a mechanics lien to protect payment for work, materials, labor and services rendered. The fact is, your Mother's roof is better than ever, it was installed beautifully, your property is benefitting from this work and it's passed several rains with no sign of problem. Additionally, though you are correct in the fact that we do not claim to be "historic preservationists" we do have tremendous experience in dealing with historic and unique properties. Having successfully roofed the likes of the Wrigley Ranch on Catalina Island, Phil Jackson's personal home and several homes for Mr. Donald Trump (just to name a few) and we have shown great success and skill in competing even the most complicated of projects. Part of the success of any project is managing the expectations of the project and clearly defining what we are and are not responsible for, while clearly defining what we can and cannot do. Though you are correct in asserting that we felt confident in being able to complete the work with minimal problems, nobody could have stopped the crumbling of your cracking and badly damaged sheetrock because of the tremendous amount of time and water damage which was left untreated for years. You had the option to remove the piece of glass and chose not to do so prior to work commencing. Additionally, though our Project Manager said we would give it our best try, it was very clearly spelled out in our contract under the warranty terms and conditions that we were NOT responsible for interior damages which were beyond our control, or the cause of preexisting structural issues of the building. Never was there a claim made of owning some special tools for dealing with a piece of historic stained glass. This area had years and years of leak damage and was thoroughly compromised. Simply put, there was zero way to get into this skylight well to protect the stain glass from above. You either had to remove the stain glass all together, which you had the opportunity to do (and run the risk of cracking or things dropping on it as you manipulated it) or come from above through the skylight which we made the attempt to do. Though very unfortunate, this is reconstruction and many things can happen along the way which are totally out of our control. We were in fact, reproofing a project which had years of leaks, tons of dry rot and many interior cracks and fissures within the sheetrock. That being said we are not a bank, nor can we afford to remain in business and perform high level work with customers who arbitrarily withhold payment for services rendered. Had we known that you were going to ultimately hold us responsible for interior damages beyond our control, we would have outlined that in our contract with you, carried a special bond or insurance to cover these costs and completed the work at a much higher price. You were trying at every turn to get the cost down on this project. We made every attempt to appease you, going above and beyond to ensure a beautiful re-roof project was completed. Our President made a personal trip out to the home and had several phone conversations and email exchanges along the way. I understand that nothing usually comes out of sending a customer to collections for payment, but I hope in hind site you can step back and understand our need to get paid for work and services rendered. We hope that you will continue to use our company in the future and would be more than willing to have a final discussion around the matter to bring proper closure the situation. We are very thankful for your business and look forward to servicing your Mother's roof as agreed upon.

I had some problems. They finally got the issues resolved. The shingles had some discoloration. They said they would be happy to get in contact with the shingle company on my behalf but they are not responsible for the shingles. I was not aware of this. The shingle company said it says on the pack some discoloration will appear and it would go away in about six months. The discoloration did go away. There were fixtures on the roof made out of metal. They sprayed them but the paint did not last. I called them to spray them again. The guy who came out did not use a blocking edge and sprayed on my shingles. I complained directly to Brian the owner. He said the guy would be reprimanded and he would teach him the proper technique. Overall, everything turned out okay. However, I will not use their services again.

We are very sorry to hear that your experience with our company was not satisfactory. We take great pride in not only the level of service we provide to our customers, but also with the quality of products and materials we use. The shingle system which was installed on your roof, is an asphalt based product and it is very common to have what is called "tobacco juicing" occur. This is a process in which the oils of the new shingle leach out from the sun and weather. It is a very, very common issue with composition shingle roofs of ALL manufacturers and usually, as in the case of your home, in the first good rain, or with a hose, the oils are washed of and the discoloration is gone. We did send our owner out personally to address the issue and did get the manufacturer themselves involved as well to ensure you received the proper follow up and response to your concerns. In regards to the metal flashings, this was in fact something which was addressed directly to the employee who worked on your roof flashings and it was also a topic which was openly discussed at a tailgate meeting with all of our installers. It is unfortunate when something like this occurs, but we take the quality of our work very seriously and we have addressed the issue with all of our staff. Though we are not perfect, we strive to be! I hope you will reconsider using us in the future if and when you ever need additional roofing, rain gutter, skylight, or solar work. We are however, very appreciative of you as a customer and the opportunity you gave us to earn your business.
