It is my very best service provider. I don't know if they are on Angie's List, but everybody should be like them. They come the first or second Tuesday of the month, it's a monthly pest control. He gives me a printed receipt of what he did. If I've had any problems, he will knock on the door and asks if I've seen anything. I can call him and tell him if I'm seeing any bugs. He will come inside and put stuff down. He will tell me what he is putting down and if it's any danger to my pets. He always checks to make sure everything is good. It took the first four months for everything to seep in. I haven't seen a spider in three years. Then he drives off, it probably takes him about half an hour. It is the best $40 that I spend every month. The other thing that I love about them is, I've had the same guy for five years, since I started, I haven't had one substitute. Even around the holidays they will send a notice that he's going to come out a week early, and I really appreciate that. When I get my bill, there is another copy of the receipt of what he did.

We had some evidence of termites in our walls, so we called American City. Steven arrived right at the beginning of our time window; off to a great start. After surveying the entire property, including the attic, garage, and underneath the house, he told us that tenting wouldn't be necessary, just a couple local infestations that we can handle with a $20 over the counter product. His inspection was free and he was friendly as can be. Highly recommend using this company; if our termites come back, we certainly will.

The sales representative was helpful, informative, courteous and professional, the work crew was prompt and efficient, and the office staff was courteous and helpful. All did their job very well

Their service is very good. We have actually been using them for three or four years. We like them a lot. They come on their own. They take care of everything. The only dislike is sometimes the little piece of paper that they leave indicating that they were there, I cannot always find it. It is important to find that because when they apply the stuff you need to not water your property for like two days. We brought this issue up to them and they try to slip it in the mailbox so we can always find it. They are pretty regular and all that so I do not have any issues with that.

It has turned out very good. They're a very good company and the service man was very nice. We may $50 or 60, something like that. They're very professional and always let me know prior to coming, that they'll be around the house area. They're very thorough and on time.

It went very well. They were extremely nice to work with and professional. They were also very helpful and worked very hard with me to ensure I was happy. Their pricing was also very reasonable. I enjoyed their service and the entire experience with them.

We let the company know where the bees were, they sent a man out. They said they couldn't do it because of the awning they would need a special ladder. They next day they sent out another man with the special ladder and put the stuff on to get rid of the bees. They didn't get rid of the bees. A couple of weeks later the tenant called me saying bees were still there. I called the company back and they sent someone out again. This whole time we never saw someone come out and I paid them in advance for their services. I then call them back and they give me a time that someone will be out there between 9-12. By 12 no one had showed and my husband needed to leave. Two people came and looked and discovered a bee hive, which they said would be more money. At the beginning they said if there were extra fees before starting the job they would let me know. I don't understand why this wasn't found in the beginning. We asked for our money back because the bees are still there and they will not give it to us. I spoke with Melanie and let her know we would take them to small claims court.

We have a bimonthly plan. The service person always calls me a day or two in advance to confirm that treatment is okay for a particular day. They seem to be thorough and the treatment appears to be effective. For payment, I would prefer that they automatically bill my credit card, but I suppose they don't want to retain this info for security, which is understandable. They are very polite and responsive when I call the office for any reason.

It went great, they will be back in a couple of weeks to check the traps.

Very nice and professional service. The warranty or guarantee was for 3-6 months, my indoor pests returned after 5 months. My experience with others vendors have lasted much longer than the warranty, as long as 18 months for indoor pests.

Came back on a weekly basis for 4 weeks to re-set traps and take away captures. The same technician returned each week on a very timely basis.

I loved Steve, the termite inspector who came out promptly, was very professional and because he was very truthful about us not needing their service. The droppings that were visible were OLD droppings from a previous infestation and at this time I did not need their service. He recommended for me to replace an old wooden china cabinet that was installed inside one of the walls since that is where I saw most of the old dropping, which I went ahead and did. I called him out again after removal of china cabinet and he inspected and said don't need them at this time but to call him again if I see any termites flying around. WOW who does that!!! He definitely cares about his customers and not just in making money. They definitely have my business if those flying termites come back again.,

I said that the other estimates were all under a thousand dollars and that I thought they were very over priced for the job.

I have never written a bad review but this has to be written. This company was hired to do a monthly rodent and pest control service. It started out well, rodents were caught and disposed of in a timely and professional manner. After approximately the first month the problems with this company surfaced. I called the company because the technician did not show up for the normal scheduled service-this was a very big problem because a) I had taken off work to let them in and b) their were dead rodents in the attic in the traps (we heard them go off) that would begin to smell if not disposed of. When I called the office the girl stated that she had no clue what happened and that I would have to wait another week before this tech. would be back in my area. I was not happy. I gave them another chance-in the next few weeks this happened again and again. Then I was told by the office that I was not supposed to schedule my service with the tech directly (which was the exact opposite of what I was told to do originally) but with the office directly. The last straw with this company was when I let two technicians in to do service and they were in my garage-they were told to fix a hole in the wall and it was not fixed when they left. I called the office to this problem and the girl who answered treated the situation as if my version had no merit. I told her that I was canceling the service effective immediately. I called another pest control company and as of today, July 31, 2013, I have had NO problems what so ever. Where it gets bad is I received an invoice from this company for services well beyond the time I had cancelled. I called the company and they said if I had no proof that I called the office (I failed to get the name of the girl) and that the tech had been at my house. I stated that at NO time was the tech here (I have survellience cameras and it confirmed that in fact they were not there....and I asked my new pest control guy if they had been there by looking at the traps and they said they had not been there) I told them that I did not receive any notices from them that they had been there so I did not think it was a problem . They also stated that they have GPS on their vehicles. That did not mean anything to me because they could of been down the street at some other house. The office stated that I was out of luck and they were demanding payment. I wrote them a letter stating my problems and issues and mailed it certified. They ignored it and i have not received any mail or phone call from them since then. Just this week I received phone calls about the same time I received mail from a collection agency for $310.00!!!!!. For work that was NOT performed. Needless to say that I paid it because I have perfect credit and do not want it compromised. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND OBVIOUSLY ARE CAPABLE OF MANIPULATING PAPERWORK. My attitude is that on occasion things happen with companies that perform services-this company failed to even want to address my concerns about their employees and office staff that cannot handle a dissatisfied customer. They said that since I failed to get the name of the person I spoke to to cancel my service that I am out of luck-but to get charged for services that never occurred is an entirely different integrity issue.

He set traps and advised us on what to do and how to dispose of anything we caught. I've called with additional questions and he was responsive and helpful. I highly recommend American City for any pest needs.

I called and they made an appointment for that next week since it wasn't an emergency. They arrived on time, and the inspection was thorough and the guy was very nice. He was clean and then he changed into another outfit to check under the house, then changed back to come back inside the house. I made an appointment that day for later that week. They arrived, and it was another nice guy. Did the work, didn't rush through it. I would call them again.

I am extremely pleased with the work. Terry worked fast, removed his shoes upon entering my home, cleaned up behind himself, and solved the termite problem. I would definitely call them back with any problem of this nature.

They come by on the first Friday every month. They come and inspect every month, they spray inside and outside, and if there are any additional problems, they will make an extra trip at no cost to me. They take care of the bugs, when the bugs show up. They were recommended to me from a former client of mine, who operate on about 5000 to 6000 rental units. They are very friendly, and dress well, and wear a uniform shirt, with their name on it, and the trucks have names on it. The trucks always appear to be neat and clean, bit the most important thing is that I had a big cockroach problem before, and I have used them for a couple of years now, and I have not had any problem since, as a matter of fact I had to only call them back once or twice in those 2 years, I assume that they can't shoot every cockroach, every time that came. I have not had any problem in several years. Price wise they are a little bit stiff, it may be because of the area which I live in, the times I had to call them back, they were here within a couple of 3 hours, that was very responsive. I have seen them only a few times, they have always been here on the day that they schedule it, I know that because, they leave me a note informing me that they came here, and what they did, and they just drop it in the mail box, if I don't keep happening to be walking around, when they show up.

Overall they were very efficient, thorough, and competent. I iwas impressed with how quickly they were able to schedule the inspection, provide the bid, and perform the work.

The entire process of a dead animal removal went flawless. I had issues with the initial work not being done properly, but one phone call and 10 minutes later, American Pest was working to fix that problem. All services were handled the same day and within hours of my call, which I just find absolutely outstanding.

I knew we had a problem when I spotted termite dropping on the side of my house a coupld of months ago. I used Angie's List to find a pest control service in the area. American City Pest and Termite had some good feedback and is located right here in the South Bay. So I called them. An inspector was out to our house within a couple of days. He said we only had a few areas of termite infestation, it did not require tenting. His estimate was $350. At this point the report of inspection has to be inspected and approved by a county agency, this took about 2 weeks. After approval, American City Pest came out and sprayed the areas of concern. Their service was thorough and professional. My total cost was $350 as the estimate said, even though the technician had to spend a good amount of time on very very high ladders to get to infested areas of my two story townhome. I was very pleased with the service and the price.

The project went smoothly from start to finish. The inspector arrived at the promised time for the initial inspection, for a return visit to give us the "Nylofume" bags used to store food that is left in the house, and for the final visit to return our house key. The tenting caused little to no damage to outside plants, and damage to our tile roof - my biggest fear - was minor according to our roofer. I left our TV antenna up and worried about it too, but it was fine. All in all, a careful and professional job.

We used them in the past. They came out right away after contacting them. They took care of the issue and they didn't even charge us since we used their business in the past. They did great and we are very happy with their services.
