Called Mountainstone out to repair their workmanship and was charged $500 on top of the original $19980. They do not cover their work. We found out from filing with the Contractors Board that they should have covered it for two years. We didn't get that. We filed for their Bond and successfully received $2500 of their $12500 surety bond. We were told that we received a split with another dissatisfied Mountainstone client who was to get the other $10000 and who current had Mountainstone is a civil lawsuit for nearly $100000. The owner at this time lost his license. His name is Noel Stein. SInce then I have been told that someone else has their contractors license on the business but Mr. Stein is still active with Mountainstone. I recently was contacted by a young woman who is persuing Mountainstone herself for shoddy work. She too has the same epoxy rock surface as my husband and I do. Within a week or two after installation we noticed rust spots growing in various parts of the stone that made it look spotty. We have learned that this is a common condition with this stone and as long as you don't have too much epoxy over it , it can be curred using pool acid. My husband and I would never recommend to anyone the use of this company.
Description of Work: A couple (man and woman) presented the estimated proposal to cover all of our cement both front and back with epoxy rock. The owner anc his crew came and did the job in a couple of days. We were told that it would start needing maintenance 2-3 yrs after initial completion. Within 3 months, our epoxy rock looked hazy. Within 6 months we started to lose rocks. We since have learned that the epoxy used by Mountainstone is inferior for this job. Also we have learned that the size of this rock should not have been used in the driveway. Larger rock is needed.

It was fantastic. I love the job that they did. The whole process only took about three and a half to four hours. When we called to set up the appointment there was basically no wait time for them to come out. They cleaned up after themselves. They were very polite and professional. They did a great job.
Description of Work: They resurfaced my back patio and our front entry stairs with epoxy stone.
