COMPUMAX

I had two laptops, one couldn't start and the other one couldn't access the Internet using my wireless cable modem. I took the dead laptop to Compumax and Jake gave me a quote for $60 to diagnose the problem. He came back with the diagnosis over the weekend and said it could not be repaired but he would try a memory switch to see if it would work (at no charge to me if the step didn't work). It turned out the memory switch didn't work, so I ended up just paying the $60. I thought he sounded honest so I decided to ask him about the second laptop. He used a software to access the laptop at my house through the Web and diagnosed and fixed the problem, for an additional cost of $60. The laptop has connected fine to the Internet since them. He also did some diagnostic work on my desktop for free. I've taken this same laptop to another computer repair shop, paid $160 and never got it fixed. Needless to say, I was very thankful to Jake. Overall, I found that Jake provided excellent and timely service. The only complaint I had was that for one of the repair steps that he proposed, he said that he wasn't sure the step would fix the problem, but I would have to pay for it anyway if he's going ahead with the work. I guess I didn't like the "no guarantee" clause, but I have to give him credit for being upfront about it.

THEY CALLED RIGHT AWAY WITH THE PROBLEM AND HAD IT UP AND RUNNING BY THE END OF THE DAY. WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEIR WORK AND HAVE BEEN USING THIS CO FOR MANY YEARS.
