+ -1 moreI got 3 estimates on the tree removal. Parga came in the lowest by a long shot. I also found a coupon on the yellowpages. When I called and asked about getting the price reduced more they told me that it was already their lowest bid and if they honored the full price of the coupon then they would be losing money. The owner said they would honor a discount though and adjusted the price accordingly. I decided to take the deal and signed the contract. The work was to start a few days later. The day came and the crew showed up on time and got to work. They took down the whole tree with a crew of about 8 people from 8AM till about 6PM. They roped down the tree and avoided any damage to the surrounding structures. Not only that but they also cleaned up all the pine needles and pine cones that fell into both mine and my neighbors yard. They were very professional and I was really impressed with some of the ingenuity required to remove a tree from such a tight space. The next day a crew of 3 people showed
Description of Work: Remove 1 Giant Monterrey Pine Tree and Grind Stump. The tree was overhanging two fences and the neighbors house.

+ -1 moreInstead of recognizing the mutilation of our tree and our concern, the owner was more interested in blaming the botched job on a misunderstanding between me and his employee. Since the instructions were so very simple and the employee had a basic understanding of English, I don't agree with the owner.
Description of Work: The job involved topping and thinning two forty year old Tupidan Tais trees. My instructions to the estimator and the trimmer were to top the two trees straight across at the height of or even with a specific electric line. Also, leave the growth on the outside of the trees. One of the tree tops were butchered which cannot be corrected until the tree grows out. We have to look at the ugliness until then. It will then cost us more money to correct the imbalance in the growth.
