Lee's Hardwood

Honam (Henry) Lee of Lee's Hardware failed to deliver in all areas of his general contractor service during the remodeling of my kitchen, bathroom and the installation of a laminate floor. 1. Mr. Lee and his work crew showed up at my property only two to three days a week during the estimated work period. 2. Mr. Lee installed the laminate flooring first, then failed to protect the floor while working on the rest of the kitchen. Therefore, there were numerous light and deep scratches throughout the floor. 3. He nicked the kitchen cabinets during the installation process, however, did not fix or replace the damaged cabinets. 4. Two different colors of granite countertops were installed because he did not purchase two granite slabs from the same store. Instead, he purchased one slab and two pre-fabricated pieces in order to save himself money. 5. He forgot to provide two kitchen cabinet doors. 6. The island fan was installed incorrectly (we re-installed it ourselves). 7. The quartz countertop in the bathroom was cut an inch too short (the counter hangs only a quarter inch over the cabinets). 8. The shower tile job was mediocre at best. 9. After collecting 80% of the payment, while there was 40%+ more work left, he asked for more money in order to finish the job (This was not the payment plan stated in the contract). Basically, he told our family lie after lie regarding the type and quality of his work, the cost, and the time frame in which he would complete the job. As soon as my family realized Mr. Lee's poor workmanship and unprofessionism, we wanted to end the working relationship with him, but we continued longer than we should have because he was referred to us by a trusted family friend. Needless to say, I would not recommend his service to anyone.
