My wife and I made the decision to completely remodel our 55 year old kitchen which included removing a couple of walls to open it up to the dining room and living room. After deeply vetting numerous contractors and securing proposals, we selected Horizon Construction in Fullerton, CA. Mark Besnos, company owner, was by far the most detail oriented and considerate home improvement contractor we’ve ever worked with. Throughout all phases of the project, Horizon provided extraordinary workmanship in a very timely manner. Of course with any major project there are a few challenges. Horizon Construction remedied every issue with effective contingency plans for any problem they encountered. Here is an excellent example of superior service: We selected and ordered quartz counter tops from MSI of Orange, CA. When the quartz counter tops arrived and were installed, they had a number of finishing defects which Horizon tried to repair. Unfortunately, the defects were irreparable and MSI would not stand behind their product and workmanship. Mark and Horizon Construction however alleviated our aggravation by selflessly offering us a partial financial reimbursement even though the counter top finishing was not Horizon’s responsibility. From beginning to completion, Horizon Construction exhibited professionalism, pride of workmanship and a commitment to excellence. We were referred to Horizon Construction from a neighbor that had recently hired them for a bathroom & kitchen remodel. Although Horizon's was quote was higher than previous quotes, we went with them based on the quality of workmanship we saw in my neighbor's home plus their great online reviews. The first couple of weeks went well. We were told the job would take 4-5 weeks to complete. The first round of workers and inspector were on schedule. Around week three things slowed down. The tile guy only worked between 3-5 hours a day. We ran into a couple problems with paint that resulted in. Some of the mistakes made by the painters were somewhat novice. However our project manager was quick to respond and correct the issues. The job was completed at the end of week five. At the end, our experience with Horizon Construction was a great one. The office staff and project manager were pleasant and attentive to our concerns. We are happy with the work done in our bathroom and would consider using them again in the future. I highly recommend Horizon Construction to anyone looking to do a remodel/construction in their home.

It went great! Enna,David and the entire Horizon Group were a pleasure to work with. Expectations clearly communicated and met. Trades arrived when scheduled, on time and prepared. The few problems that came up were quickly resolved to our satisfaction. We are planning further work next year and will use Horizon Construction and Remodel again. I chose Horizon to do a complete kitchen remodel, add an additional 100 square feet and create a 9 foot pass through between the kitchen and family room. This entailed major construction engineering, demo, footings, support beams, framing, insulation, electrical, plumbing, paint, floor tile, cabinets, counter-tops, and installing appliances. Mark Besnos, the owner, was the project manager and Enna and Genesis (back office) provided education and guidance throughout the entire project. The approximate timeline given was three months; it was finished in two months. Mark worked with me in building the kitchen in stages to ensure I was able to stay within my budget. Mark made suggestions along the way (which I appreciated) I agreed with some and others I didn't. For instance, during construction, he prompted me to think about raising the ceiling I'm very thankful I agreed with his recommendation it worked out well. There was never any pressure to do anything I didn't want to do. Communication is always the key to success. I was always aware of the next steps. Whenever I had questions, Mark or Enna promptly answered. They even answered questions and concerns while they were on vacation they are dedicated to their profession. There were some small concerns or issues along the way, they were addressed and resolved in a timely manner which was greatly appreciated. This has been an educational and rewarding experience. A lot has to do with the relationship established with the client. The Besnos family (Mark and Enna), from the beginning, have been friendly, patient, honest and trustworthy. I now have a beautiful dream kitchen to enjoy with family. Thank you Mark and Enna.

The complete remodel of one of our bathrooms was just completed by Horizon Construction last week. The bathroom is gorgeous. I could not be happier. The project manager, David, was constantly on top of the scheduling and progression of the work. He visited almost every day to make sure everything was going to plan and always asked if we had any questions or problems. Any issues that came up were immediately addressed. Compared to many contractors I have dealt with, the communication was wonderful. The quality of the work was top notch and the various tradespeople (plumbers, electricians, painters, tile-setters, etc.) were all very pleasant and helpful. They were always on time per the schedule or if there was a delay, we received a timely e-mail and re-schedule time. The job was completed on time per the original promise date. The clean up at the end of the job was professionally done. I would highly recommend Horizon Construction for any remodeling job.

We met with Horizon Construction & Remodeling after meeting 2 other contractors and we must say we liked HORIZON a lot! the project manager was very knowledgable and personable. He listen to us and made good suggestions and was always available for us. We honestly couldn't do this project without him! The remodeling took longer than we planned because it was done around the holidays season but it was worth it! The end result is beautiful and we receive many compliments from family and friends We appreciate the hard work - all workers were dedicated and talented WE WILL SPREAD THE GOOD WORD ABOUT HORIZON!!!

We chose Horizon to refresh the exterior of our home based upon the good ratings in Angie's List and Houzz. They were very prompt in setting a time to meet with us. Leo listened very well to what we wanted to have done and then he walked us through how they would go about getting the job done. He detailed for us the many steps they would go through to prepare for the work that would need to be done for removing old facade, adding new stucco, painting, adding stone veneer and replacing patio fence. He explained some of the extra steps they do that others skip, which are important for a long-lasting result. Leo laid out for us the expected start time and timeline for completion. Based upon some other estimates that I had received, Horizon's cost estimate was very reasonable. Their back-office staff was also very helpful to us in selecting the materials to be used on the job and working with us on scheduling. Once the job got started, it progressed according to plan, and all city inspections were completed timely without need for any change to the work they had done. The job was completed to our satisfaction, on time and on budget; they even did a few extra add-ons without charging us anything extra. Job well done, thank-you!

After speaking to three general construction companies, we decided to hire Horizon Construction for our projects. Their prices were reasonable as compared to the other companies, and we appreciated the detailed written scope of the project that they provided to us. Mark, Enna, and their office staff were very pleasant to work with; they also have a very nice showroom. Overall, we are happy with how our projects turned out. Enna is great with communications. She always replied to our messages promptly to address our issues and concerns. We did have various issues with the workmanship and cleanliness of some of the trades that came to do the work, which made us felt that the project manager was not always attentive to what was being done at our house. We had to clean up a lot of the messes that were left every night when came home. Horizon could definitely benefit as a company, if they improve their ability to oversee a project more closely to ensure that things are being done properly by their sub-contractors. But, in general, Mark and Enna do care about the satisfaction of their customers. They are committed to making things right. They always made sure that we were happy with the end result. We never felt like Enna or Mark would just ignore us or our concerns. For this reason alone, we would recommend their company to others.

Well, I wish I had something fun and exciting like a room addition or kitchen remodel to talk about, but our project was just a boring, complicated, extensive repair/renovation. For more than a decade, every time we had a major storm, we got flooding in our family room, and every time we thought we had fixed the problem, when the next storm came, the water re-appeared. We talked to several contractors, and they all had pretty much the same opinion. Since we couldn’t figure our the source or sources of the leaking, the only way to fix it for sure would be to completely remove and replace the stucco and paper from the rear of the house, and replace all the windows. This would also involve detaching and disassembling a large, wood patio cover, and then putting it back together. One contractor didn’t even want to take the job. We chose Horizon due to a high recommendation from my brother who had used them for a kitchen re-model. The estimate and bid process was quick and smooth, and communication and scheduling with Enna and the office was great throughout. Mark was quick to address the problems, which were many, due to the fact that, as it turned out, our leaks were coming from more than one source. The quality of the work, for the most part was excellent. In fact, the building inspector commented that the workmanship of the wrapping job was the best he had ever seen. My only complaint is that the work of the window installers was less than stellar, but all-in-all, the final outcome was good. The color and texture of the stucco also perfectly matches the rest of the house. We did a water test, and all looks good. We won’t know for sure until the next big storm, but I’m confident that we’ll have a dry family room. so confident, In fact, that we just installed new carpet.

I had a great experience with Horizon and dealing with Eitan Beznos who was the project manager. My project was completed as promised with no surprises. Eitan contacted me daily to keep up to date on everything that was planned for that day. The crews were curious and respectful of my home, cleaning up daily prior to leaving. Horizon also helped me design my remodel, which they did a wonderful job at. I love my beautiful new kitchen. I will definitely hire them again for future projects.

All were done professionally and perfectly. When unexpected issues aroce, they were handled quickly & past expectation ! I would definitely use them again

Enna, Mark and team did a great job with our full kitchen remodel. We knocked down two walls, did a large support beam and gutted the complete kitchen. Mark suggested we move the sink and re-profile the window, which turned out to be an excellent suggestion. We're very happy with the kitchen and can now entertain without being stuck in a very warm and small "box" separated from our guests. Enna spent a lot of time with us near the end of the project to make sure we were satisfied and that everything was to our liking.

We recently had our master bath remodeled by Horizon Construction. This was our first experience with a remodel contractor and we didn't really know what to expect. In our first meeting with Mark he made several suggestions that we decided to go with, such as putting in a light above the tub and adding an electrical outlet on the other side of the sink. We really appreciated the fact that Horizon had their own showroom and could make suggestions on combinations of tile, vanities and counter materials. After going to the big box stores and looking at tile and counter top materials and still not knowing what we wanted we found Mark's input invaluable. The workmen all were very good at their jobs. Steps were taken to protect the floors leading to the bathroom under remodel. Trash was removed in a timely manner. There were lots of items we needed to purchase in the first couple of days so that when the walls were rebuilt accommodations could be made for the water supply, drains and electrical. Decisions had to be made along the way and we answered them the same day, so as to not cause a delay in the schedule. There were a couple of issues that came up and Horizon addressed them as we went along. We were so happy with the result that we hesitated to use the bathroom for a couple of days after completion, we didn't want to mess it up. Bottom line is we wouldn’t hesitate to use Horizon Construction again.

Horizon is a great company, who works solely residential. You therefore don't have to compete with attention they are giving larger, potentially more lucrative projects. Eitan Besnos, our project manager, was friendly, professional, and very receptive to our budgetary and design concerns. The company is exceptionally ethical, and we found everyone who works for them to be friendly, professional, and capable. I'm looking forward to working with them soon on a kitchen remodel. I have an older home that needs work, and I feel lucky to have found a company I can trust that does great work.

The bathroom is beautiful. It was very stressful and I agonized over each decision. Mike (project manager) and Robert (contractor) helped with decisions and obtaining materials. Sol was a great worker. Mike assured me that everything was fixable when I was catastrophizing. I had to remind myself of that many times. I'm so glad it's over! I would recommend them.

When i decided to redo my kitchen, i was very nervous about who to hire and trust to do the work. I'm an older widow with NO experience in all of this. after quite a few interviews, well, there was no other choice. It was HORIZON CONSTRUCTION & REMODELING all the way. Horizon Construction did a beautiful job on our remodel. Our our family and friends are raving about the difference between before and after. There so many nice touches that Mark incorporated in the remodel such as the backsplash in the kitchen and including different stone. The crew were professional, diligent, hard working and cleaned up after themselves every day. Mark was flexible and willing to work on any issue without any complaint. He is a perfectionist which means he demands high quality from his crew. He was present during all stages of construction and willing to address any concerns promptly. I Found Horizon Construction & Remodeling thru HomeAdvisor.com actually for another job but had to shift on the fly when a garage repair issue became more pressing. Mark came out and reviewed the job with me onsite and followed up with a quote. While not the lowest, I got a good vibe from Mark and chose Horizon for the repair which entailed removing the entire garage floor and much of the underlying soil. The repair looks great and I have received multiple compliments on the completed work. The crews showed up on time and were diligent in their work. Mark and his team are very quick to respond to inquiries which is a big deal to me. I would use them again without hesitation.

I had a bathroom and bedroom remodeled by Horizon. They were reasonable on the overall cost when compared to other quotes obtained. Eitan Beznos did an excellent job overseeing this project. He expressed a sense of care and always wanted to make sure I was pleased with the work before moving on.
