We used Carnival, owned and operated by Willy Leon, in February 2004 to fumigate for termites. Carnival did a great job in 2004 and were the most reasonable with their price. Willy Leon is still the hands-on owner of the company, but the company has grown -- and this is a good thing. Carnival can now offer most repair services they may be needed as a result of termite damage, and Willy has a great crew of professionals. As in 2004, Willy came out to give the estimate and, again, his company had the most reasonable price of the two others we contacted. Willy provides clear instructions on what we, the home owner, must do and facilitates the process to make it as easy as this pain in the rear procedure can be. His crews were on time and very professional. They did an excellent job. I had good vibes about Willy in 2004 that only grew stronger and more positive this time around in 2012. Willy is very straight forward and as detailed as you want about what he recommends and why. His price is fair and his crew does quality work.
Description of Work: Termite fumigation of house and attached garage with vikane gas using a tarp over the structure. Carnival's team also cleaned the gutters, removed a termite eaten wood balcony patio over, patched and painted the stucco, replaced damaged timbers at the 8th facia (front, right side of house and painted the new wood.

I had the Willy come over to do an estimate after receiving two other estimates from different companies. All of the work quoted was basically the same, but Carnival (a sub-contractor of Red Line Termite Control) came in the least. Of course price is a large consideration in getting any work done on the house, as well as quality, but we knew Willy through other business contacts and have had other family do termite work through Carnival. I gave Carnival a slightly lower rating on punctuality because Willy came late during a couple of our meetings and did not call to let me know. When I did get a hold of him, he was very apologetic and explained exactly why he was running late. Willy was the primary contact and was the one to come and do the inspection and quote. He recommended less invasive work and explained why tenting was the best option for our situation. After doing some independent research and comparing what the other companies had to say, we decided to tent instead of spot treatment. Willy personally came by to do the subterranean treatment a week before tenting. He did the job efficiently and cleaned up after himself. The crew that replaced the fascia and blocking came by the next day. They did the job very well and even replaced extra wood that needed replacing that was not covered in the contract with no extra charge. They used spare paint I had in the garage to paint the wood that came primed as well. On the day of the tenting, the crew arrived within the prescribed time and worked through the hot sun. They were very nice and answered all the questions I had (although english was tough for some of the crew). The entire process took three hours. When it was time for removal, the crew cleaned up everything and even took the time to wash down the porch, driveway, and backyard. This also took three hours. One of my main concerns during the tenting process was damage to the metal roof. After the crew was finished, I climbed up to inspect the roof and found some denting, which was to be expected), but there was no apparant damage. The crew was well aware of the roof material and did use care while they were working on it. Overall, I'm happy with the job done and have recommended them to other family who needed work done. I would recommend anyone who needs fumigation to go directly to the sub-contractor and skip the middleman pest control company. It is my understanding that since liability insurance is quite high for fumigation, most pest control companies end up sub-contracting out work to companies like Carnival anyway. You can save some money by not having to basically pay a commission to a pest control by going directly to the sub-contractor.
Description of Work: I had tenting done on a 2000 sq ft house + large deck, subterranean termite treatement along a wall, and some fascia/blocking replaced and painted along the roof.
