If I could give a lower rating than 1 star I would, but as this is the lowest rating I can give I will give it. To explain why I give this rating, if I would have known that it would take 4 months+ to get my windows in my house tinted, along with them having to make repeated trips out to my house, because of incorrect cut measurements and just neglect of the office staff and management behind the projects regarding the proposal and order. I would have thought twice about going through US Tint. We have a long email thread that started the request at the time of signing for the proposal on July 11th, after multiple trips by the technicians coming out to install the film, the job still hasn’t been completed because of incorrect cut material, lack of materials, lack of proper needed equipment to install the material, the need for a secondary person for safety reasons (due to the second story), etc. I have also directly called Barbara (Director of Operations) after we received an email from her about this issue, and I only got her voicemail. After leaving a message on Nov 13th for her, asking for a return call to me about this matter. We still have not gotten a call back or a follow up email about the project and getting this job completed. Regardless though this is p*** poor customer service, and obviously residential homes do not seem to matter to the company or the management of these projects. I am glad I didn’t further invest my time into a new proposal for the bottom story of our house or our cars. You have lost my trust as a customer and I highly recommend anyone to think twice before using them for any project.

I recently purchased a new Mercedes, and the Service Mngr. referred this business when I inquired about window tinting. I went on their website many times, emailed them, and got a return email from Michelle in office. I went into the business and spoke with the owner Mr. Funk who was friendly and personable. Told me 1-2 days is all the lead time I needed for an appt.. I looked at the website many times reading about tint choices and shades. Two weeks later when I called to make an appt., was told 1 week by very nice cashier Michelle. . When I told her what owner Mr. Funk had told me, she nicely said she could fit me in on Wed. 9th. if I left the car all day. Again I went on website reading info. Car was left all day on Wed. April 9th. Fast fwd. 5 days later. I hear a radio ad for US tint offering 15% discount , says go to website for COUPON .I'm thinking to myself that I had been on that website countless times and never saw a discount coupon. I drove to the business immediately and spoke with Michelle. She said I would have to speak to one of the owners, that they were pulling that ad today, as it has been on awhile. Mr. Funk came out irritated after a few minutes and asked how I was doing. I told him the tint was good so far, but that I had just heard the ad about 15% SAVINGS. He said you have to go website, print out a coupon and bring in. I SAID I NEVER SAW A COUPON ON THAT WEBSITE ANYTIME EVER, and that I felt he should give me the discount. He got red and said No, that was all about measuring the response off a radio ad, and that you have to go to website and print coupon. I said I still feel I should get this discount, I'm here and it's only been a few days, and I never saw any option for this over the last month. He said No. I told him I would convey my experience on Angie's, Yelp, the Mercedes dealer, and the BBB. He got very snotty and told me not to threaten him. I told him I am not threatening you, I am telling you I think you are wrong, and this will be my avenue to let others know of his true customer appreciation. I came right home and looked at website. There is a small window on bottom right that says put in email and you will receive future discount coupons. It dawned on me that THERE IS NO ACTUAL COUPON TO PRINT. I had entered my email a month ago when 1st viewed website, and did so again today for a response. NOTHING. Do I think they do a good job tinting? So far yes (has not even been a week though.) Do I think Mr. Funk did the right thing regarding me and my business, NO! I owned a business for 17 yrs, and worked in retail management for 10 yrs..It is critical and imperative to be customer friendly. His attitude was not good after the fact, not conducive to good customer relations or resolution, or future business. He seems to have an attitude of," I have so much business from auto dealers that I don't really care about doing the right thing," In my experience. Shame, shame. Too much competition right here in Fresno/Clovis, and I will not frequent his business ever again, nor ay family or friends of mine. What I can do is to share my misfortune with the general public about his attitude though. I don't think this coupon really even exists( or I would have received it. ) Not good business practice. And it doesn't matter what kind of vehicle I drive. Money is money. What I would have saved is over $50 dollars, and I have what I have because I don't waste or squander money. GO ELSEWHERE FOLKS....LOTS OF COMPETITION.WHY GIVE BUSINESS TO SOMEONE LIKE HIM?

I am very happy you love your tint job. We take great pride in are workmanship and customer service this is way you were referred by your Mercedes dealership. As far as the coupon we did use the radio to drive people to the website to print their coupon so we could gauge the performance of our ad. Not being able to find the coupon over a month ago is because it was not there it was only up for a limited time during the ad run time. We had several customer take advantage of it and had no problem so I am sorry you fell we treated you wrong and didn’t give you $50 back a week later. When she said she was going on Angie’s list, Yelp and all the social medias and tell everyone about us and what we did to her and that it would be cheaper to pay her . I think our customers are smart enough to see right through reviews like this. We go above and beyond for our customers for over 30 years and will continue to do so. We love our customers and love what we do and I am sorry [Member name removed] was not happy but we provided her a quality window film job and great customer service. Our previous house had tinted window film. When streaks appeared in a window, we were dismayed to learn that the previous installer was out of business. We were then relieved to learn that US Tint would provide warranty service. One of the owners, Margaret Funk, came to our place in the foothills, looked at all windows and found that one other window's film had failed. She arranged for the replacements, which were done promptly. When we moved to Fresno, we preferred a more open look and removed heavy, dark drapes that covered six large floor-to-ceiling windows. Since these windows faced west and south, it soon became apparent that we would need to tint these windows. We contacted US Tint and Margaret cane promptly to look at our windows and give an estimate. She found the material we choose for our previous house and brought samples of two materials in varying degrees of coverage. She gave us information about our situation and gave us some points to consider as we made our choice. We attached the samples to our windows and looked at them over the course of several days. As soon as we phoned with our decision, an installation date was set for that same week. On the appointed date and time, a two-man team arrived and went right to work. They were careful to protect our newly-refinished hardwood floors and were skillful in their application of the film. The men finished in a few hours and, after making sure we understood about the curing and subsequent cleaning process, took all their materials and left. A week or two later, we received a call from Margaret, who had found that we qualified for a manufacturer's rebate. She emailed me the information and the completed paperwork so that all we needed to do was sign and email the rebate request to the manufacturer. Our rebate was not huge ($50) but it was a welcome bonus.

Price of basic tint is very high. The basic tint is not warrentied against fading. An upgrade is needed to warranty against the tint fading. I first called and made an appaointment after asking questions about the warranty. When I arrived for my appointment I asked again about fading and was told the basic tint would fade. I was toldi if I got the upgraded tint that it would not fade, of course at an additional charge. I didn't have the service done after this statement.

Thank you for taking the time to post your experience. Yes we are the highest priced shop in town and that is for a reason. We are fully insured, licensed and also we are the only licensed contractor for are trade in town so yes it does cost us more to do business the right way and that is way we have been in business since 1984. Are Classic automotive film does come with a lifetime warranty. It is covered against cracking, peeling, bubbling, changing color. It does not cover abuse or fading. there is no dyed film on the market that will not fade over time. Some shop will not tell you that we try to inform are customers the best we can up front so they know what they are buying. We do also offer a upgraded film that is made with ceramic that has a higher heat rejection will never fade or discolor and is save for all your car electronics it is for a upgraded charge but is the best film on the market today. I hope I have addressed your concerns and I am sorry that we could not serve your window film needs. The company prompt returned my call for an estimate, and came to my condo to measure my windows. In addition, the company representitive gave me a clear understanding of all my options regarding window tinting and explained to plusses and minuses of each, and the energy savings each shade of tinting would provide. They asked me a lot of questions as to my reason for tinting and my needs. After talking with them I decided to have each one of my windows tinted an 18 rated tint. The came by in two days to install the tinting, exactly when they promised, and installed the tinting. They were professional, clean and left the area in the same shape as when they found it. I was very pleased with how how friendly and informative the installers were and the level of expertise they exhibited. I strongly endorse U.S. Tint for anyone wanting to have their home windows tinted

Great work! Saleswoman came in and took measurements, gave me a fair price and installation went fast and effective. My living room is not so hot anymore. Great service.
Description of Work: They installed window tinitng on my windows inside my home. I have 4 windows facing south that take in a ton of light and heat during the summer. The new tinting helps so much!
