SUNSET PATIO & AWNING

The patio looks great and the crew was good, but there are some imperfections...when they finished the installation of the patio they did not place the roof tiles back correctly, there are gaps which can lead to water damage. Also the metal water slide that directs water flow in the roof is banged up and sloppy and so is the silicone/spackel that adheres the water slide to the fascia. When I called Jay was gruff with me, when my husband called he was good, and when my son called he was defensive and didn't want to fix the problem because "it hadn't rained and there was no damage". Yes, we've had to call several times. Emails and texts weren't answered. The last thing we were told is that it would get fixed when they had another job in our area, we are in Visalia.

Installation went well, however since I felt it was too tall, I had them come back out and lower it. Jay is very easy to work with, accessible, and reasonable. I would recommend his work and services.

We had asked for several bids from other companies. Jay, as the Sunset Patio owner readily understood our split level concept along with the roof line restrictions. We felt confident in his design of the final product. I was unsure about using a color so we went to his warehouse and he gave us samples to bring home and put against our house. He said the time frame would be 3 weeks and it turned out to be less than 2 weeks.The materials were delivered and the following day his crew was here at 7:30 AM. They completed the job around 2:30 that afternoon. There was no mess, the 2 man crew was very efficient and used their expertise to make some changes that improved the overall symmetry. They said they had been doing this for many years and between the two of them, each knew what had to be done and did it. We are extremely happy with the end results and now considering a patio cover in the front yard to be built by Sunset Patio and Awning. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a patio cover.

Middle estimate, but Jay was a good salesman. Late installation with excuses of shipping and wrong colors. There is now a leak that they will not come out to fix. They have come out to look at it, and even said that there would be men in the area that week that would stop by and take care of it. Nothing has happened. Check out the BBB before you think about going with this company.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY WAS JUST AVERAGE. THEY GOT THE WORK DONE QUICK, BUT IT BROKE AFTER A FEW WEEKS. THEY DID COME BACK WITH NO PROBLEMS TO FIX IT THOUGH.
