Sommertime Pools

I cannot comment on the quality of Sommertime's work. I simply do not know. I do know this, I contacted Scott on two separate occasions. My family had made the enormous decision to have a pool put in and were excited about going forward. He came highly recommended by a friend as well as Angie's list. I called Scott and actually got through to him (unlike other pool builders) however as I was trying to find a date that he could come out I mentioned that I was available on Thursdays. His answer to me was that he couldn't come out that day because he had softball. OK. I understand his extra-curricular activities may be important to him but I'm a potential customer and I'm pretty sure softball doesn't last all day. We ended up finding a Monday where we were both available and he was to come out at ten o'clock in the morning. Unfortunately I had to cancel that appointment because I got called into work at the last minute (I covered for a sick employee). As soon as I found out I called the office and left a voice mail and told them I'd call again. I then called Scott on his cell and let him know what happened (he hadn't heard yet from the office that I'd called). I told him I was available that Thursday and he said they were starting a pool that day but he would try to make it out. I said that sounds good and I'd see him Thursday. That was the last I've heard from him. He didn't call or make any effort whatsoever to win my business. So to sum this up: 1. There was an obvious lack of consideration. Not calling back and being too busy with personal activities put up obvious red flags for me. 2. If the company is this difficult to get to even come out to your house to make a bid on building a pool I can imagine the nightmare of dealing with them once the contract has been signed and ground broke on the project. 3. I wanted to like this company. People I respect have said glowing things about them. The reviews on Angie's List are very good across the board. Unfortunately my experience has been one of apathy on the part of Sommertime Pools.

All of the details worked perfectly and we are very pleased with our pool. Steve and Scott Sommer, father and son, are excellent to work with.

THEY WERE $5,000 LESS THAN ANY OTHER CONTRACTOR THAT I HAD FOUND. THEY WERE VERY ACCOMMODATING WITH THE OTHER BUSINESS THAT PUT IN OUR WATERFALL. THEY WORKED QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY. THEY WERE VERY EASY TO WORK WITH AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
