Paragon came in and did the demolition of old tile countertops. New countertops with backsplash was installed. The whole process took about four days. Very happy with the results.

We had a bad experience with one of the large "box stores" and went to Paragon to price the cost of installing natural stone. We found that the price was actually $500 + less than the price we had been quoted at the "box store" and we had far more options. We picked our granite from one of the suppliers Paragon named, got a very good price and then arranged to have the fabrication and installation completed in less than three weeks. They measured and sized the areas, then set a date for demolition and installation, and arrived on time and completed the work within one day. There was a slip up with the size of the faucet holes, but they went out and bought proper faucets that would fit and we are now much happier with those faucets than we were with our previously purchased faucets (we returned those). All in all it was a great experience, we had a couple of areas we wanted the grout touched up and they came out and cheerfully did the work and we are absolutely satisfied with the way everything turned out.

Since we had such a lousy experience with the cabinet people, we kind of revamped their contract and they were very amenable to do that and they totally understood. We kind of told them to some deadlines which was totally unnecessary but they told us it would be six hours to install the countertops and two hours to install the backsplash. They were perfect on their time and I was just amazed. They were very professional, cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave a big mess. They were very courteous and nice to me. I would definitely recommend them to anybody. They were wonderful and their price were right on the ballpark with everybody else.

They did a very good job on the counters with exception of a splice in the bath counter that was not supposed to be there and to make matters worse they chose a piece that we specifically chose NOT to use. I now leave a towel on that area so that we don't have to look at it. Owner did give me a reduction in cost, but... Their tile man quit the day before our tile was to be installed. We had to find our own otherwise our long project would have taken 2-4 weeks more. The communication was poor when there was any kind of a question or challenge. Office would not return calls or was very defensive. We had a second project and chose another fabricator.

The quality of the countertop was fine. The problem was the installation. Their installers damage the existing mirror during the installation and tried to tell me it was like that before they started. Only after they installed the countertop did they show me the mirror. The head of the company said it was not their fault. I replaced the mirror at my own expense.

Description of Work: Called to ask some questions for possible future installation and repair of a current granite counter...Was really impressed by the knowledge and helpfulness of the woman (Penny) who answered all of my questions and more without there being any immediate gain for the company. It was a most refreshing experience and I will definitely use this company in the future.

Everyone we worked with at Paragon was friendly, professional, and responsive. Jeff gave us great advice during his first visit and explained how the entire process would work. After accepting their estimate we were able to find a granite slab at a local supplier. Paragon took over from there, having the slab delivered to their shop so they could begin fabrication. Paragon made a template of our counters and invited us to their shop so we could discuss the layout on the granite slab. After that, fabrication took about 1 1/2 weeks. Installation took an entire day. The installation crew took extraordinary care to make sure the cabinet tops were level. This process took hours and is probably very important for the longevity of the granite counter. We were more than pleased with the final results. Every part of the process exceeded our expectations.

Initial sales experience went great, the process to map out the counters was fun and enjoyable. Learned a lot during the first two processes. However, the install did not go good at all. The installers took much longer than expected, left a huge mess in the cabinets underneath where they cut the plywood and damaged the new granite. They tried to tell me it was the design of the granite but I give the owner of the company credit fo stepping up and admitting their mistake. It took a few days for them to finally come out to fix the granite and then, they had to come out twice as the first time it was not done correctly. The granite looks good today but I will always see the damage that was done in my mind when I look at it. Should have gone with the local vendor who had a higher price but might of not have damaged my granite.

We have been working on our house, remodeling and adding on in stages, for close to 4 years. I have had all types of service from the different contractors through out the process. Paragon was one of five bids that we received, their price was one of the best and I had several friends recommend them and were very happy with their work. The other company, a major discount home store, had very limited colors of granite choices and edge options. One of the other three companies, had a medium price bid but the reviews were very mixed and even had a couple stories of clients having to rip out all of the counters and have them redone because of the colors not matching side by side, bad seams..etc. The last two bids, one was very expensive and had ok reviews and the fifth I could not find any reviews, they weren't a better bureau member and wouldn't provide me with any client work I could look at...so that was an obvious no. We chose Paragon and we love how everything came together. The tile floors are even and he took a lot of time to lay the pattern out so that it was balanced and ended up in the right pattern all the way trough the open great room. The kitchen looks great, the granite is beautiful, you can't see any of the seams, the edges are smooth and even the pattern of the granite matches from one piece to the next. I was most thrilled with Paragon when they called me back, all of the people were neat, when they said they were going to do something they did it exactly when and how they said that they would. Everyone cannot believe how completely different our house looks and they love how great the kitchen came out. We would recommend them and we will be using them for updating some of the original bathrooms in the future.
Description of Work: We recently finished remodeling and putting and addition on our house. We had a large wrap around counter in the kitchen, a very large seating island, in a different accent color, installed in the middle and a long buffet counter on the other side of the eat in dinning area. We also ended up putting granite on the bar to match the kitchen. They have a very good tile group also, that tiled our 2 new bathrooms, our whole living room/great room and kitchen. Outside we and had another piece finished with granite shelves that compliment all of the iron work.

I plan to remodel my bathrooms next and will DEFFIENTLY be using Paragon Granite again. I will recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: I have recently worked with Paragon Granite, and have never been more satisfied with another company and results I received. The professionalism in the office was excellent, and the women at the counter were beyond helpful. They had such a passion about what they do, it made my experience marvelous. My husband and I had our entire kitchen redone and remodeled. We were able to choose the granite slabs that we wanted, and were allowed to see the template in the shop before it was cut, making sure we were truly happy with the outcome. The men in the shop were beyond friendly and did everything to make me happy. I am so satisfied with the work I have received, Paragon Granite offered me the best experience. They were right on time with demo and installation, and the prices were so reasonable for the work I had done.

Paragon did make one mistake when drilling the 5 holes for my sink (soap dispenser, dishwasher air gap, faucet, garbage disposal, water dispenser). My faucet was a new style (at the time) with the hot/cold lever off to the side instead of in the back. They cut a hole too close to the lever. We didn't want the garbage disposal button right next to it, but it's the only thing that would fit. They should have paid closer attention to exactly what was being installed, but in the end, we are used to the garbage disposal button being there. I am still pleased with the job Paragon did. They were careful to put the prettiest parts of the granite in locations that would show.
Description of Work: I remodeled my entire kitchen. The price given was for the granite part only. Paragon was the first slab yard I went to on the recommendation of my contractor. The gal was very helpful, guiding me to the different types of granite. She pointed out some that tended to be more delicate. I didn't see what I wanted at Paragon's slab yard and ended up purchasing my slabs at another yard. Paragon did the cutting and installing. Two slabs would have been enough to do the countertops for my kitchen, but the project got a little out of hand and we ended up creating a counter on the opposite wall, new fireplace front and a 36" pub table, all using the same granite. We ended up buying 3 slabs for all this.

Our contact at Paragon was initially very polite, friendly, and responsive. Overall we ended up with an extremely nice looking counter-top at a fair price. However, we were not happy with the actual installation. The team who measured and then installed the product did not appear to be as competent/confident as we expected; there were not enough people on the install team to handle the heavy, large slabs of granite and as a result there were a couple of times during installation that we were concerned they were going to damage our new cabinets. The biggest problem, however, was that they installed our under-mount sink, and when we got ready to hook up plumbing we discovered that the framework had broken, the sink was falling out, and a section of the sink rim had been bent because of the faulty installation. Additionally, we found that no adhesive had been applied between the back edges of the sink and the marble countertop - which means we would have had water leaks. The builders (not Paragon) who built my kitchen removed the sink, repaired the framework, and reinstalled the sink. My biggest complaint is the lackluster response I received when I called to report the problems to Paragon. My call was initially received courteously. I wasn't asking for a decrease in my payment or any other remuneration; I explained that I just thought they would want to know the install did not meet my expectations. I received a phone call several days later from Paragon to ask how I was going to pay the remainder of the bill (otherwise I don't think they would have responded at all). In the course of the conversation, the caller said that she had talked to the install team, and that her assessment was that the error was due to some fault in our construction. She stated that the installers talked to my builder about it prior to installing the sink. That conversation never took place. Essentially I was told and quot;this was your fault, we did nothing wrongand quot;. She didn't address the issue of failing to caulk the sink. I was very disappointed in this response to my complaint, and their failure to accept any responsibility. Since we had already made the corrections, I would have been satisfied with an and quot;I'm sorry this happenedand quot; or and quot; The problems have been reviewed in an effort to avoid similar problems in the futureand quot;. We will not be using Paragon for any further remodeling projects.

The folks at Paragon were, for the most part, helpful and cooperative. Our initial contact was with Russ, and went fairly well. When John came out to measure however, things got a bit more difficult. We had to renegotiate seam lines; there was a great deal of quibbling about demolition and prepartion/leveling, which took numerous phone calls to settle. We were assured by Russ that a critical seam would be reinforced to prevent breakage - this was not done-and sure enough the piece was broken during installation. The piece was glued rather than replaced, and it shows! We found another area with a large fracture-when called to John's attention, we were told it wasn't "bad enough" to replace or repair. We were very disappointed that replacement, repair, or an adjustment in price was never offered. That being said, the counters look pretty good. The work was completed in a timely fashion.

August 11, 2006: First impression of Paragon Granite was warm, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Amy greeted us and answered all questions we had regarding granite, installation and approximate cost. Amy came to our home and took measurements a few days later. Demolition was scheduled for Aug. 30th. Due to Paragon being very busy demolition was rescheduled for Sept. 8, 2006. Jeff Hanning came and made templates on Sept. 15, 2006. On Sept. 21st we went to Paragon Granite to assist with layouts on slabs. (Made us feel a part of the whole process.) Granite was cut on Sept. 25 and installation was then scheduled for Oct. 16, 2006. Although the time frame was longer then I anticipated the finished job was worth the wait. Kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful and very professionally done.
