MVI Appliance and Handyman Services

I have had several dealings with Volodomyr from MVI appliance and almost all of them have been lacking. This last one was the straw that broke the camels back. Our refrigerator was not cooling properly and the things in our freezer like ice cream we're getting very soft. I started a home warranty claim and Vladimir was dispatched to our house. After inspecting the fridge he tried to tell me it was because we needed to defrost the fridge, which is what he told us last time he was out here when we told him our icemaker wasn't working, that never got fixe after looking at the fridge for a little while he determined that it needed a Freon charge. He told us that he had to get approval from Fidelity and that he would get back to us. Two weeks go by and nothing. Texted him and he told me to contact Fidelity, which I did and they confirmed that he got paid for his service without ever informing us that he does not do Freon charges. he dropped the ball and left us hanging, but he got paid!

Volodymyr Mazhnyy , Owner. Volodymyr was punctual for both visits. Ordered new water dispenser unit. Came back out in a few days and Installed new unit in about 40 mins. He was very friendly and professional. Advised us to clean coils on bottom as they were extremely dusty. Appreciated his timeliness and friendliness. My dryer wasn't heating so I called my home warranty company who referred me to MVI Appliance. I paid him a $65 deductible to fix my dryer. He took it apart, couldn't find anything wrong with it, then recommended I have the dryer vent cleaned. He was absolutely correct; cleaning my dryer vent ended up fixing the problem. HOWEVER, shortly after, I started hearing a clanking sound coming from my dryer. I called out the vent cleaning serviceman to check his work because I thought maybe he cause the problem when he cleaned my vents. It turned out he didn't cause the problem, MVI Appliance did. The guy from MVI Appliance (the owner) took off a bracket when he took apart my dryer and couldn't find the screws when it came time to put it back on. So he TAPED the cover on with electrical tape and left the bracket under the motor which caused the clanking. I reported him to my home warranty company. After they told him they'd received a complaint, he called me to find out exactly why. I told him exactly what happened and he ADMITTED to taping the cover back on because he said the screws to the bracket were "missing" which means he lost them when he unscrewed the bracket. He offered to pay me back the $40 the vent cleaning serviceman charged me for diagnosing and fixing the problem that MVI Appliance caused. I've yet to see the money because he just called me today, but at least he admitted to his unethical mistake and offered to pay it back. Still, if he couldn't find the screws he could've either looked harder for them, or went out and bought new screws to screw on that bracket. Using electrical tape and leaving the bracket in the dryer was a HORRIBLE thing to do. My dryer is only 3 years old and shouldn't have had this issue. I do not recommend this company.
