L Elene's Tree Service does not have Workers Compensation Insurance. When I spoke with the person at the Contractors State License Board about this, I was told that contractors who work alone do not have to have Workers Comp. But if there are any other workers, then, if they do not have it, the homeowner can be liable if anyone gets hurt. Despite the fact that other Angie's List reviewers report excellent work and great satisfaction with the performance of L Elene's Tree Service, we will not be using L Elene's Tree Service because they do not hold worker's compensation insurance.

The company came in and took a section of the fence down. removing an Oleandor and then ground the stump down so the fence could be put back in place. They were very courteous and very professonal. Did the job in about 40 minutes. Even putting the section fence back after removing the Plant. There price was very reasonable and they did a great job of cleaning up after removing the plant. i was very happy wiith their service and professionalism

This is a family business and they were very friendly and courteous. They arrived a half hour early, but that was no problem. The clean up after they were through cutting on the trees was beyond what I expected. The yard looked better than it did before they came. I would definitely use them again and will recommend them to other people I know!

I will be calling again when I need more tree work. They showed up right on time, got the job done quickly and efficiently, cleaned up and did exactly what we paid them for. I appreciate good service!!

called on Sat, Estimate hours later, trees gone on Tuesday, nothing left but wood chips and one teeny little branch on the ground. Couldn't have been more pleased and I didn't have to be there. Price and service were great, would definitely call them again.

We contacted L Elene's on Monday for an estimate. He was punctual and gave a fair estimate of what it would cost. The work was scheduled to begin Wednesday morning at 9 AM and be finished by noon. The work crew arrived a few minutes before 9 AM and were finished late morning. The workers were very polite and answered our questions. They cleaned up all the limbs and left the yard in better shape than they found it! We will definitely call them next year.

Jonathan and the crew were very enthusiastic and went at the trees for about 6 hours without stopping. They cleaned up nicely and also cleaned the roof off with the blower.

I had a limb fall on my Modesto Ash during a real windy day. They came out that same day and gave me a great price on the work. While examining the tree they found another limb cracking. Took that one off as well and even thinned out other parts of the tree. They did an excellent job. Plus they offer 10% off the price to Angie's list members!!

They gave an estimate and did the work within a day or two of calling them. The did what they said they were going to do, and seemed to do a good job. The only reservation I have is that when they ground the tree stump for the big problem tree, they left a lot of root structure in the immediate area below where the stump was. This is probably normal (I don't know -- that is why I hired a tree removal company), and will probably degrade over time anyhow. The trouble this caused is that it made it almost impossible to plant anything new in the area, since there were roots over a foot in diameter that were still there. When I hire them again (and I think I will), I just need to make sure to ask more questions, like "is there anything you can do to make this area immediately able to replant" and "how far away from the stump will I start running into huge roots".

I rate them high overall and no doubt I will use them again in the future.

This company did excellent work. They were very nice to work with, scheduling at our convenience. They arrived on time with all the equipment that was needed and pruned all trees to our satisfaction. They actually did some extra pruning for us that had not been discussed as part of the original the estimate, but without additional charge. They cleaned up all trimmings and tree debris. This was a very good experience and we will absolutely call them again.

The crew arrived on time as promised, and began work immediately. There were several employees working, so the job went quickly. The quality of work was excellent, and they cleaned up all the mess before leaving. I was also given a senior discount as advertised. It's nice to know there are still professional companies out there who take pride in their work. Job well done!

Great service. Approximately 25% of what we paid another company about 5 years ago for similar amount of work. Were on time and cleaned up after themselves. Highly reccommend.

Very good work. A family-run operation. Very efficient and friendly.

Very prompt and professional. Came out the same day I called to give me an estimate. Discussed and suggested options and pros and cons (i.e. tree trimming versus removal). Scheduled the job for the next week (called and met on a Thursday, took out the trees on Monday). Arrived on time, completed job in a couple of hours, took out roots with minimal disturbance to my lawn. Cleaned up thoroughly. Beautiful job!

They were the low bid of four. They arrived when scheduled and worked diligently. They asked questions before they started to work so that they were sure of our desires and expectations. They did everything we asked and gave additional advice for us to consider so that we would be happy with the outcome. That our trees would add beauty to our yard and house. I was especially pleased with the care that they demonstrated in their desire to acomplish quality work. I was also pleased in their desire to have constant communication as the work progressed.

They were punctual, professional, courteous, and friendly. They worked quickly. They were careful not to damage the my and my neighbors fences any more than it was due to the fallen large limb. Cleaned up after themselves. I will recommend them to my friends. I will used them for future tree services.

If you need any type of tree service done, you should call them. They do excellent work and I would definitely recommend them. They did a very good job cleaning up when they were finished. I thought the price was very reasonable for the amount of work they did.

The crew left the job clean. They were on time and on price. This family business relies on word of mouth and that is why they are busy. I wanted to give him a plug here because the service was top notch. When I told him I was going to evaluate him on the Internet he asked me to note that he was licensed! I will definitely use Elenes Tree Service again.

What more can I say? I now have a new service provider for all my tree servicing needs! Now, don't EVERYONE hire him ... as I'm going to need him again soon!
