He came by the house the same day I called and gave me an estimate, which seemed fair. Because of the recent storm, he couldn't come back until a few days later, but he was on time and quick. Recommended.

This experience was very good. Last year I called and ask them for an estimate, the son provided me an estimate of $100 per tree, now flash forward to last week, I called to set up and appointment to have the trees trimmed. I spoke to the owner and asked if he would honor the estimate I received the prior year and he did. My appointment was this morning at 8am and they were all here at 8am. They had a big crew and both trees were trimmed and clean up was completed within an hour and a half. I asked the son for an estimate for a Modesto ash tree in my back yard and he quoted me $400. I will use them again. My brother and father have both used them. Note: Be careful what you ask for, after my trees were trimmed I found myself with less shade in the early afternoon. This was my fault, I never once considered how the trimming of the trees would impact me. I was more concerned about tree branches falling on my neighbor's truck.

They arrived on-time, took the tree down quickly, and cleaned up all the limbs, etc., including those that extended over my neighbor's yard. I am pleased with the service provided and would definitely use them again.

Everything was clean. I noticed he didn't grind the stump down .

After receiving 3 estimates on the same job, we found L. Elene's to be the most reasonable cost and the only one that was bonded, insured and confident that there would not be access issues. The initial estimate was just on the backyard tree, but after learning of the reasonable cost, we inquired about removing the front tree. They went over that day (again) and gave us a second free estimate. Due to my own scheduling issues it took a few weeks to work out perfect timing, but they were very flexible. The morning of the removal the company said they would be there by 9 am. They were there at 8:30 and had the front yard tree gone, stump grinded and all, in 2 hours!! The backyard tree was next to a fence and draped over both our roof and the neighbors yard and pool. They took great care making sure that nothing was damaged or harmed. The backyard tree made a giant mess and they cleaned up so you could barely tell they were there. They used a blower to clean both the front and backyard and left my yards in great condition. I will happily use this company again if needed and readily recommend them to others. The Angie's List discount was a great perk too!!

I called this provider on a Friday afternoon and a woman answered and got my information and then said the person who would do the work would come the next day around 3pm but would call first. We never heard anything although we set this time aside waiting. We could have been doing other things on a Saturday but because of the "no show" any plans we had were ruined. I thought he might contact us the following week but nothing. I did not contact again because obviously they are too busy so we found someone the next week that did the job.

Great to work with! Team of people showed up on time and got the whole job done with a few hours. Cleaned up and took everything. They did a great job and worked around power lines and our neighbors fence. Would use again and would recommend to anyone.

Job done quickly and efficiently. A member of the family owned business was there throughout the process. Even though it was community clean-up week, they wouldn't put the trimmings on the street, electing to run through their chipper and haul away instead.Price seemed higher than necessary for work on a single tree. But the result was good.

They did miss their first appt but came the next day and did a great job.

Got a quick reply from the owner and his son came out within a day or so to give me an estimate. The son was the main pruner on this job. Never met the owner. They are bonded, insured and have a current license, which is more than I can say about many tree trimmers. They had to cancel their first appointment with me and reschedule, no big deal. They Showed up on time for pruning job. I wanted one tree (a 40 ft tall Chinese Tallow tree) thinned as the berries were weighing down branches to the point of breakage. They thinned, but may have over-thinned, as my wife was upset at how much foliage was removed. We will see how it looks in the spring. The second tree that was trimmed was a 20 foot tall, 40 yr old Chinese Pistachio, and I gave the OK to re-shape it versus thinning as the tree had many branches going in odd directions or becoming . The tree got a major haircut, and again, I will reserve judgment on how good a pruning job they did until I see how it comes out in the spring. If the tree does not do well, then I can only blame myself as I gave the OK to do a re-shaping versus thinning. I had to remind them to be careful on where to drop the cut pieces so as to not damage shrubs and sprinklers. I did not feel comfortable leaving them un-supervised in that regard. They did a good job of cleaning up. For now, just an average rating of C. I will want to re-grade them next June when the trees grow out.

Based on positive reviews I contacted this vendor to arrange for a representative to come to my home and give me an estimate for tree trimming. When I called a young woman answered the phone. There was a lot of child and other adult noise in the background so it sounded as though this business is run out of someone's home. The young woman asked for my pertinent information, set my appointment for the next afternoon (10/22/13) and that "Jonathan" would call me to confirm and let me know when he would arrive. The next day (10/22/13) I hadn't heard from Jonathan so, mid-afternoon, I called the same number I had called to set up the appointment and got a voice-mail recording-I left a message. I waited the afternoon, no call to confirm, no response to my voice-mail message and no visit from Jonathan. As I write this review, it's 10/23/13 at 12:30 PM and still no call, no response, no visit. Business must be good! I'll find someone I can rely on to trim my trees.

Generated over a cord of wood which was left, cut to fireplace length, on site as agreed. Cleaned up the site removing the smaller branches and brush.

About five people arrived. They were family members. Their father, the owner stayed throughout the service. They were pleasant, left the yard cleaner than they found it and did it all in less than four hours. I highly recommend for cost and quality.

There are so many tree pruning services out there that I had a difficult time finding out who would be a reputable, reliable tree pruning service that would charge a fair price. So that's when I joined Angie's List. Where better to find an answer than from people who have actually had experience with the service and have rated them. L Elene's was the most popular reviewed service with an A rating, so I took a chance and went with them. When I called, the owner picked up immediately, said he was in the area with another customer and could be at my house in 10 minutes. True to his word, he showed up 10 minutes later. He was very courteous, good natured and yet professional. I mentioned I was a member of Angie's List, who he offered a 10% discount for first time customers. He didn't say much about that. I have 5 Chinese evergreen elms, 3 of which are 50+ feet tall and haven't been pruned in over 8 years. He looked them over and gave me a price of $800, which I thought was a very fair price for the work required. He said that because of the recent rainy weather, they were backed up about 3 weeks. I said that was okay and to let me know when they would be coming out. He also said I did not have to be present for them to do the work. Less than 3 weeks later, I got a call saying they would be out 2 days from then. That day I came home and was amazed at what a great job they did. They cleaned after themselves so well that it was better than it was before they arrived. My neighbor across the street was home and said they had 6 guys show up that morning and worked like crazy. It took a couple of hours for them to finish, including grinding up all the limbs and debris. I could not be happier with the results, and thanks to all the reviews that people posted on Angie's List, I know I made the right decision. I will definitely use them again. Highly recommended!

They had many workers that quickly removed the palm branches as they were cut from the trees. As soon as the palm branches fell, whether in our yard or our surrounding neighbor's yards, they were quick to pick them up and remove them. They showed up on time, and were very professional.

Lost my appointment day, but when I called they did apolagized and did get the job done that day.

I was out of town on the day that my tree was to be cut. I called the day before and they said they would arrive in the afternoon. I had my father come by the house about 12:30 to take my dogs out to use the restroom and they had not arrived. When I arrived home at 4:30 they were already done and gone! They cleaned up and made sure my pool equipment was not damaged in the process. I actually never met them face to face (I had pinned the check to the tree prior to leaving out of town) but am very satisfied. The extent of the work was major pruning of my tree (this was disclosed when my quote was given). I will have them back next year to continue to shaping. A++++!

They were excellent we were very pleased. I called to make arrangements for them to come out for a quote. They called back to come out the same day, but due to the weather we had to reschedule. They came out and did the job and cleaned up afterwards. My trees look great.

All went well. They get in and work hard and get the job done as quickly as possible.

The only issue is he failed to honor our Angie's List 10% discount. When asked if he would honor discount on the day of trimming, he said, "I lowered the price knowing you were an Angie's List customer". I didn't mention Angie's List until he was leaving at the time of the estimate.

Didn't come on the day I was expecting but we rescheduled & they were here at the scheduled time & finished the job that day. There were about 5 or 6 on the jobm& were professional.

I needed some serious tree trimming done to get extensive overgrowth of trees limbs and canopy off the PGE line from the pole to my house! When the wind blew, the limbs swayed back and forth moving the PGE with them, while I held my breath. I called a number of tree services, PGE and ATT about the need to have these trees trimmed back but it go so incredibly complicated I was about to give up. Then I saw how many great reviews were given for L. Elenes Tree Service, read a number of them, compared the prices to others and immediately called for a free estimate. Lamberto came out the next day and they did the job the following morning. They were done within a hour. The trees were thoroughly trimmed and there was not even a leaf left behind to even know they had been here. Their work was precise, fast and the clean up incredible! Plus, they are just very nice people which is not always the case. The prices are reasonable, which is also not always the case. I am hard to please and I cannot recommend L. Elenes Tree Service highly enough :-)

Called for estimate, estimator arrived and gave an initial estimate, my wife told the estimator that we contacted his company based on reviews from Angie's list. He told her that he wished she had said something earlier, did not revise estimate to provide discount. Crew came out and had completed the job in record time, cleaned up the site and was professional. Will use this service again if needed.
