FRESNO GLASS CO

I called Fresno Glass because they are local and had replaced a car window for me a few years ago. This time a pane (approximately 14" by 15") in a large, nearly floor to ceiling front window was broken, probably vandalism. A man from Fresno Glass showed up in under 2 hours, which was a lot faster than I expected. I thought I would have to make an appointment for later in the day at least or the following Monday. It was raining when they arrived, so I told them they could come back later when it stopped raining. They said no and continued their work. One man did most of the work, with another man driving to get materials. The price was $60 plus 8.50 for the glass, which was lower than I expected, especially since they had to come to me. I pay more than that for my mechanic to just look at a car problem or a plumber look at a clog. They worked fast and cleaned up the broken glass. Maybe this is normal service and cost for windows. I didn't shop around. But I thought it was a good deal. I'll admit that from the outside the putty around the window doesn't look as perfectly neat and defined as the other pains, but I expect that this is inevitable for a repair as compared to the original construction. The window looks good from inside and from the sidewalk in front. What is most noticeable is how much cleaner the new pain and frame around it are compared to the old ones. I guess I'll have to get out there and clean the others.
