Appliance Sevice Plus

I would give this company zero stars if it was an option. This is the most incompetent company I have ever worked with. My home warranty company automatically assigned this company to fix our refrigerator. We scheduled a window of time for them to come out to diagnose the issue. They did not show up during the scheduled time. We called them and they explained another job had taken longer so they weren't able to come out that day. Their best solution was to come out 4 days later. I told them that was unacceptable and they would come out the next day. When the service person arrived he quickly diagnosed the issue and said we needed a part to fix the compressor and the part would take 7-10 business days to arrive. One week later I had to call the company to ask for an update because we hadn't heard anything from them. The woman told me the part had been ordered but they didn't have a tracking number yet. She also said they had not received confirmation from the home warranty company that they could proceed. An entire week later we still had not heard anything from this company. My husband called yesterday and the woman said she didn't have the information yet but someone would call us by end of day. Of course, no one called us. He called today at 3pm and came to find out that they ordered the part THIS MORNING. She would not give us the tracking number. My husband asked for her to send us all communication between them and our home warranty company. [When they finally sent it, the information they provided was not what he had asked for.] He had to give her a recap of the entire ridiculous situation we've endured the past 3 weeks thanks to their incompetence. I cannot believe a company this inept is allowed to practice business. Stay away from this company if you actually want your appliance fixed in a timely manner, if you want to use a company that communicates, and if you don't want to be lied to by your appliance company. We will be contacting the business bureau with our complaint as well.

Our original contact with the company was through a warranty service we had on the refrigerator with Home Depot. They set us up with Appliance Service Plus. The first day they scheduled to come over for service between noon and 3pm the repair man showed up in the time frame given. He checked out the ice maker and found the problem immediately. He said he would have to order a new part and when it came in they would call us and schedule a time to bring it out. In a week the part was in and they scheduled the day to come out between 3pm and 5pm. A little before 5pm the repair man called and was still on his previous job out of town that was taking longer than he thought and he would have to reschedule again. The next morning they called and came out the following day and installed the new unit. The delays were a bit frustrating but understandable and the service men and office people were very nice to deal with.
