+ -1 moreThe irrigation system updates went okay. The bark he put in the planting areas was really dirty. It had all kinds of debris in it. My biggest problem was Mr. Anderson's attitude. He could be quite rude at times when he was questioned about what was going on. I don't know if he would have treated a man the same way. As to the monthly landscaping, the guys who came were pretty good and the price was reasonable ($100.00 per month) but it was really mow and go. Everything would carry an extra charge - like putting grass seed on the lawn - would charge $100.00 which I think is pretty outrageous. When I spoke to his office about cancelling the service, the guys showed up again the next week like usual so clearly, their office didn't inform them.
Description of Work: Installed drip irrigation for the planting areas; updated existing sprinkler system; put in walk on bark in the planting areas. After that we used his company for our monthly landscaping.

+ -1 morePerformed as agreed from 5/2013 until 1/2014. He had agreed to reduce service to once a month during winter months at rate of $35. I did not ask for reduction in price, just told him that the grass wasn't growing enough to warrant the gas to drive over here to mow twice a month. However, the billing remained at $65 except for 1 month, when I was billed $40. I paid each and every bill without complaint. In January, 2014, the front yard was mowed once but not the back.. Same thing for February. I called and left word asking why. No response. Then my husband said he had locked the back gate, so I called Anderson, asking him to mow the back yard if they were in the neighborhood, since the grass was high. No response. I left word a third time. No response. Our lawns were supposed to be mowed last Friday, March 21, 2014, but no one appeared, no phone call, no note. I can only assume he doesn't intend to continue his contract with us, and am forced to find someone to clean up 2 months' growth in the back yard. I have no knowledge why he wouldn;t give me the courtesy of a phone call. It is completely unprofessional and unconscionable that he wouldn;t conduct business in a responsible manner.
Description of Work: Was supposed to mow, trim front and back yards twice per month for $65 per month. Service started 5/2013 with no problems until 1/2014.

+ -1 moreThe end result is not good. As stated previously, Anderson seemed to be more concerned with his high-end customers and I was a bother. That's how I feel about the treatment I received from Bill Anderson. When prompted by Magdy to replace the dead sod, Anderson did it, but with different (cheaper?) materials. The sod Anderson's laid still has fungus and still has parts dying off and dead. I have pictures of the patchwork job Anderson's did.
Description of Work: I needed my backyard re-sodded, and got quotes from a few landscapers in the area. Bill Anderson came out and gave me what I thought to be a fair price, and advised me he was working 6 weeks out. After 8 weeks passed I phoned Mr. Anderson, and he was clearly a little frazzled because he had forgotten me. It was as if I am just one residential backyard, so it really wasn't that important to him. He had a problem giving me a start date, which I needed to get my dogs booked to go to the kennel for the time the job would take plus the time the sod would need to get rooted. He called two days before his crew was coming to let me know when they would be there. Initially, I loved the way the yard looked. However, within the first three weeks the new sod developed a fungus and starting dying off. Anderson acted like he did not want to come out, and simply blamed my dogs (who were kenneled). I called him back and asked for him to come look, and his son came out the following week, took one look at the new grass and said it was not the dogs (who were home by this time), and said that we needed Magdy - Magdy is the owner of a lawn pest control and service. Magdy came out a few days later (a miscommunication - I was under the impression Anderson's would send him, but I ended up having to call Magdy myself). Meanwhile, it took Magdy telling Anderson that half of my new sod was dead by then, and Anderson sent his crew out to re-do several areas in my lawn. For another $60, Magdy sprayed fungicide and said he would be back after three weeks' time to apply the second application. He never showed and never called. The new sod that Anderson sent out does not match the original sod his crew laid, so now my yard is a patchwork of different colors of grass. The fungus never really left, either, and part of the grass has, again, died.
