+ -1 moreI liked that the guy got on the roof, took measurements and verified what I told him. There was a problem with wiring across the roof and he did not think he could do it. He then called me back at a later time and told me it would be doable. Nothing that I could think of could be approved on.

Description of Work: I would recommend Steve Williams of William's Roofing to anyone seeking a new roof. His team completed the work in 3 days while maintaining a clean work site. I secured bids from Chandler Ham and Tri-City Roofing. Both were reasonable and professional. William's Roofing received the job because I have friends in my Glenmoor neighborhood who have had their roofs replaced by Steve and because his was the lowest of the three bids. We had our old shake roof removed and a 50-year Presidential Shingles installed.(~$15,000). Steve's team also installed gutters ($1750), sun tunnel ($550), chimney saddle ($350), and attic fan ($165). My only regret is installing only one sun tunnel and not installing a solar attic fan.

They were right on time and very efficient. It took them a day and a half which was amazing. It was close to a holiday weekend so they wanted to get it done quickly and they really did a great job.

After the re-roofing was completed, we did have a leak near one of our skylights, which we didn't have before the re-roofing. However, Steve was quick to respond to this problem. He explained what caused the problem and implemented a fix. This problem and another minor problem prevented me from giving an and quot;excellentand quot; rating. Steve was very good at answering our questions prior to winning the contract with us. He was patient and professional.

+ -1 moreSteve was easy to reach over the phone-he provides his cell phone number in addition to his business number. (Do not email him-I don't think he even checks it.) He was highly recommended by both my realtor and inspector, both of whose homes he worked on himself. He gave honest answers, was friendly, and I felt that I could trust him. Unlike others, however, he only gave a written proposal when I decided to go with him. I liked that he would be on-site (he says he's there 80% of the time). The actual re-roofing went smoothly and they cleaned up well after themselves.
Description of Work: Williams roofing replaced our roof with 30-yr. Certainteed asphalt shingles, repaired several areas of dry-rot, and installed a sun tunnel, gutters, downspouts, spark arrestor, and vents.
